SRLE extended LOTD. Suggestions for new additions.

Recommended Posts

been testing out Diverse dragon collection 3 and splendor dragons I have also created the no LOD patches for it too.  I do think these are worth consider going as due to the fact the newer version doesn't use script engine and that is always a good thing however it looses the MCM and it will requires a new start so really can't be added to existing saves without some tweaking.

what is your take Nozzer?

Edit: It does also require a patch for deadly dragon which I believe the mod author is working on so might be worth waiting that.

Let's have a look when that patch is done, shall we? :)

I remember you mentioning this one to Darth before and he say he would look at it but as with a lot of stuff he never got around to it but I will take a look this could actually be more useful in the end anyway.

Thank you! I don't really remember I've ever mentioned this, maybe I just completely forgot about it.

Well i am convinced Dynamic Things should replace the training dummies mod as is it far more useful and i was also able to merge it too so i say this is a go. this is actually quite a good hidden gem how come i never knew about this before now lol.

Souls-Inspired Mods

1) https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/83379/?

Can't play without this mod, absolutely awesome. Originally made me ctd whenever using console to teleport but all you have to do is go into the ini and change Custom and Console Menu from 1 to 0.

2) For combat, I've added:

TK Dodge - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20923/?

TK Hitstop - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23681/?

Tk Recoil - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/32769/?

Revenge of the Enemies 2016 - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/40491/?

Mortal Enemies  - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/73921/?   (awesome IMO, with TK Dodge combat is very Souls-like)

Weapon Parry Standalone - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71666/?   (Guess I'm a sucker for this stuff haha :P )

Lock-On Mechanism - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/75214/?   (Love this one, very Souls-esque and awesome for combat purposes)

Combat and gameplay has never been as dynamic.

Add-on above, downloaded these mods today. This is for a very similar Dark Souls-esque game and you don't need to remove everything, all of these mods, including the previous posts, can simply be added into your list. Make sure to run Loot and all other tools, though.

Customizable UI Replacer - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/82725/?   (Download Dark Souls version with Lock-On Addon, Health Bar Add-On, and Covenant Add-On)

If you use the above options, you need to download Less Intrusive HUD and the below mod.

Souls Quick Menu - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/72238/?   (Adds the little Dark Souls 'quick menu' quadruple icon design at the bottom, you can cycle weapons and shouts - friggin awesome)

Is it? Hm, I use both. I think it's more of an aesthetics thing for me, as Customizable UI Replacer gives me the Dark Souls-looking aspect of the mod. Let me show you.

My game basically looks exactly like this picture. But hey, it's a subjective thing :)

Ah, yes it's less about look of the UI and more about responsiveness/buggines/less intrusiveness for me.

I see, to each their own.

Bu...but.....Less Intrusive HUD is a requirement.

With a few of what you've suggested Maximan, some have been in the guide in the past, like Revenge of the Enemies, for one. It was removed before I got on board to Darth might have to answer as to why.

With some of that UI stuff, I actually think the UI mods may be better left as options, since I really like the UI appearance as it now is per guide. To each their own, of course. Which is why I intend to do an options page. People can use whatever they wish to custom stuff as they wish.

My idea would be, the guide has X as it's default UI. If you wish a more Dark Souls feel, try Y. If you want some other feel try Z etc.

Right? It is such a underrated mod yet very useful. I haven't found any issue the last time I'm using it.
