SSE & Modding - The early days

oh don't do this to me all i need now is the 3 bijin mod then i happy to go off a play with myself for a bit :;):

There's a Bijin AIO mod already up on SSE Nexus... I'm guessing its just an ESP that works with SSE, that draws on assets from the original mods.

EDIT: Just wanted to say to the mod authors: Good show lads. I was expecting to wait a few months before some of the big names came out with anything. Not a few days.

The Nexus is creaking under  the strain though. I have had to put BCS on a Mirror since the Nexus can't handle files that large at the moment. I'll have another go at uploading tomorrow when it might be quieter.

By the way, quick CK question... If I have a mod (BCS) which is used by another mod as a Master, how can I load the second mod (BCSLL) in the CK without it ignoring the master and giving "reference not found" errors all over the place?

I think Bethesda must have gotten a lot ticket requests to bugfix Skyrim:SE. I sent in an enhancement request to include the game-breaking fixes from the Unofficial Patch into an official update. They just flat closed it without even bothering to say 'No'.

On the mods arena; I wonder what kind of ballpark timeline Tannin is thinking for the new NMM. Hopefully it will coincide around the same time as SKSE.

You need to esmify the one you want to be a master. You have to tick the flag in the file's header using xEdit.

Looks like mods are being ported to SSE in a very quick pace. If SKSE and SkyUI released in a couple of weeks maybe SSE can be fully modded pretty soon. SRLE:SE incoming.

I wonder too I am already craving the ease of MO over the current NMM. Hopefully it will be weeks rather then months

I wouldn't expect it soon tbh.  Maybe next summer who knows.  Its alot trickier than people realized.  I feel bad for Boris as well to deal with this as well.  *Sighs*.  64bit version has alot of modding potential but at the same time comes with many complications.

I tried last night to download NMM and installed 10-15 mods to check SE.

I was impressed with the performance and especially with loading times. Damn they are fast!

BUT....God....I cannot stand NMM...I mean I just CANNOT!!! I feel like a dumb user who has no control on literally everything!!

So I am thinking of switching to WB, although I know it has a learning curve.

Never used WB before, except BP, ESMifying plugins, redating, etc...

So I was wondering...can I have 2 versions of WB installed? One (306.xx) version for my regular Skyrim modding and the new one (307.26) for the Skyrim SE.

Is this even feasible or they are conflicting fiels/folders and would need to swap files over again and again?

I know that this was doable with MO but absolutely no idea with WB.

I am with you i loath the current NMM really need to try and get a head a round using WB as a mod manager or just wait for Tannian to work his magic.

I have 3 WB in my setup (3.0.5, 3.0.6 and 3.0.7) I put them on different folder though. Haven't tried pointing the install folder to one folder like MO. But I think is doable why wouldn't it.

For some reason I can't post while quoting, it just won't post
