  1. Welcome klotim, We have already been watching your mod with interest, I have merged your post into the existing thread, please search in future before starting new threads. As far as your mod, we are currently looking at the Millenia Weapon Retexture Project and the aMidianBorn Armor series so those are the competition.  We are very concerned with the size of your mod and although we haven't gotten to the point of analyzing it technically I would guess that you haven't optimized it to our standards. We are not interested in simply making Skyrim look as awesome as possible, what we are looking for is making Skyrim look as awesome as possible in a lore friendly way that does not unduly decrease performance and remains consistent with all the other mods included in STEP.
  2. As the name implies ddsopt is for dds files only. There are other programs for lod and nif, but they are too complicated for even the staff here at STEP to comprehend fully. We've skipped those until they get a lot more mature and easier to use.
  3. The version on Nexus is still 7.3 the problem is availability.
  4. Anyone getting any 404 errors on the STEP website today? Â I just installed some new security software so it's probably an issue on my end, but I just want to make sure.
  5. I don't doubt it, but I feel it will make the info more accessible for the people that are putting in the effort and that's a worthy cause.
  6. Our top picks at the moment for going into STEP 2.3 are Millenia Weapon Retexture and the aMidianBorn Armor series by CaBaL
  7. I believe that was an accidental omission, Cestral is currently working on an Ice update for TPC though, so we have stopped worrying about it for now.
  8. Have you updated your ini settings as listed in the pdf and wiki (particularly enb guide and the troubleshooting guide)? After you do that you can customize it for your specific machine for performance/quality. As far as ENB we only recommend version .113 at the moment unless you want to beta test .119
  9. Weapons, Armor and Clothing were removed for consistency and immersion testing. Perhaps a few will survive it and be back in 2.3 We have raised our standards yet again :P
  10. Player Headtracking  Turns the player head towards other NPC's around you as you walk by or converse. With this and footsteps in the snow coming out and all the skyproc stuff, I am starting to think the golden age is a bit closer at hand.  Yay for scripting that increases immersion. What is needed from Mod Testers: Testing on a full Baseline STEP (no extra mods)Testing with a new game (not a save)Disable Tracking While Running from the MCM menuMake sure your Tracking Distance is set to no more than 15 feet in the MCM menuUninstall the mod using the proper procedures from the mod's nexus pageQuestions to answer: Did you experience "irrational" head turning even with the settings above while standing still? Please note that some head turning while in a city or around NPCs is normal behavior. The turning discussed here is the irrational and extreme turning of the head from side to side while no NPCs are around; such as in the tundra outside of Whiterun.Did you experience head turning while running even with the settings above? Please make sure you tracking while running is turned off before reporting this.Did you experience a corrupt save from using the proper uninstallation procedures?Denied for STEP v2.2.4 There are a couple of glitches that some users may experience, primarily CTD on loading specific save games with this mod enabled. Since it is clearly related in some way to this mod, we are tabling for this release. --Thanks to techangel85 for all his diligence and hard work and to Kelmych for verifying the CTD issue.

  12. There are no perfect fixes but the wiki has a troubleshooting guide that can help you reduce these annoyances to a minimum.
  13. Thanks for the wall of text :D Lot of stuff to look forward too.
  14. .119 is out, it adds variables for indoors so you can have a different look indoors and outdoors as it should be
  15. Another useful find for testing purposes. player.addtofaction 000aa784 0 This one will make the entire world non hostile, enjoy
  16. player.addtofaction 000aa784 0 Actually just this one will make the entire world non hostile, enjoy
  17. I know you can set the random spawn chance to 0% but the scripted spawns (like bandits near ruins and the like) not so much, that would take a new papyrus script for each instance. I know there are a few projects underway to make Skyrim kid friendly, might check on the status of those. Kid friendly overhaul and Free form gameplay Edit: Just had a thought, you could add the player to many of the factions in the game and that would make everything he encountered friendly.
  18. Thats why I labeled it for hardcore modders only in SIG :P
  19. That is a non critical vanilla script error and has nothing to do with your crash.
  20. It'll be useful if Beth or an author ever gets seasons working, or when AV gets to plants.
  21. Doing it that way totally messes up your Wrye Bash, its gonna list all the mods as yellow now because the files have changed. Â You need to ddsopt before you install with bash not after.
  22. I'm confused, why is this mod associated with Deadly Dragons, it needs its own page. The textures look good enough to include in the evaluation list for 2.3
