  1. Yep I've gotten that fatal error many times today, first time I have ever seen it. Hopefully they can just roll back whatever code changes they made.
  2. Its still there, nexus is just having more problems then usual the last week or so
  3. All mods must be opened in the CK to verify that they are saved in the correct format and include a StartQuest and StopQuest event that encapsulates all scripts, failure to meet these basic requirements will lead to disqualification.
  4. Merged and bumped
  5. You will have to uninstall or disable DG for testing.
  6. Please post in the existing threads, all STEP mods are located under anthology or just use search
  7. nobody else reported that so it probably just an installation problem. The STEP team doesn't use dawnguard and not planning on supporting it for a few months.
  8. Skyrim Redesigned is on my list and I will probably begin with that in a couple of days. I'll try to wrap up the additions for v1.5 first so it'll have to wait for 1.6. Tobes Highres Textures will be one of the additions to 1.5 though unless this problem texture doesn't get fixed. I don't like leaving things incomplete, and I definitely don't like including artifacts and errors no matter how nice a texture looks. They are immersion breakers and have no place in the TPC. I already tried using other textures in its place, so while it is doable, I don't like the fact that it removes the uniqueness of the upper class furniture. The SMIM texture is looking more lower class than the common furniture so I'm also intent on not using those. So I'm really bent on getting this texture fixed. I might just have to do it myself. Oh btw, I believe I read somewhere that STEP recommends using Vurt's Compatibility Patch from the Lush Trees page instead of the patch from Trees HD (assuming you use all three). May I ask why? Probably because the Trees HD patch is from December and lush trees is February.
  9. Let me be the first to recommend Gimp with the dds plugin
  10. The main issue is that only XCE is compatible with vanilla armors and clothes, the others require armor and clothes mods to work. We also don't support mods that are NSFW. When someone comes out with unique models for each race (and sex, age) then I will begin to be interested in this category.
  11. The guide is done, it just needs to be tested fully by each admin and half a dozen or so volunteers willing to install everything from scratch and give critical feedback so we can fix all the small stuff we probably overlooked. Note that there will be another major update following just after this one in a few weeks, we got a lot of stuff cooking at the moment. Perhaps we should just release it now as a beta and let the community at large do the testing, the question is if we will actually get valuable feedback or just complaints :P
  12. Just so awesome, I was watching nasa the other day training for driving the rovers. Â Gonna search for video of that landing, that is some wild stuff.
  13. Well every day from 2am-4am pacific is slower, but I have no problems other than that. Unless your talking about NMM that's always slow and unreliable.
  14. Remember that even if it works without a ctd you will be unnecessarily bloating your saves with stuff that may never come out again.
  15. Keep reading its not that big a deal, also bsa support is being added to bash as we chat.
  16. Yes I've already suggested a fix for that.
  17. The new STEP guide will be available shortly (although completely untested for 1.7 and dawnguard), for now just don't install the hardcore pack, as those are the only mods that might cause problems (obviously definitely don't install non step mods unless they have specifically been updated for dawnguard).
  18. Added a lot of detail to the backup section.
  19. Probably October
  20. Thats just the graphics not the default layout, its just a test :PÂ and its completely user configurable anyway.
  21. Another teaser
  22. Fast traveling can contribute to of all kinds of issues, especially if done with autosave on and/or from heavy resource areas like just outside Whiterun.
  23. Uninstalling a mod won't remove scripts they are all still in the savegame (every mod you every installed, even if for just 5 minutes).
  24. Only save games while inside, it'll save you a lot of headaches. This is a known issue and covered on the wiki.
  25. Frankly I think that all parties are to blame, the few projects that are trying a more transparent process out may create a whole new paradigm that allows for managing expectations much better and much more robust development cycles or not :P In any case I applaud the attempt as the status quo is pretty sickening.
