  1. You can delete everything from the Skyrim/Data directory with the exception of the following: Note that * is a wildcard character so basically keep all the files that start with HiResTexturePack and that start with Skyrim. These are the known vanilla and DLC files and they are rather big, so keeping these will save a lot of time. If you have ENBoost installed, delete the following files from the Skyrim folder: If you have SKSE installed, delete the following from the Skyrim folder: Also delete the SKSE folder in the Skyrim/Data folder. This should get you back to a relatively clean Skyrim folder, but you should run Steam and verify the game cache. This instructs Steam to verify all files in the Skyrim folder exist and are up-to-date. At this point you should be back to a vanilla Skyrim with the DLCs intact so you can start fresh. Next step before you begin modding again... download, install, and use Mod Organizer. I highly recommend it because it makes modding so much easier. The best part is that you don't install mods into the Skyrim/Data folder, so rolling back is as easy as deleting your profile.
  2. Thanks for the information, Nebulous.
  3. This may indicate some of the mods should be cleaned with TES5Edit, but this is unlikely to be the cause of your problem. Install and enable Memory Blocks Log then repeat the steps above to see if you need to increase the DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB setting in skse.ini. See this page for information on setting up skse.ini.
  4. High Quality Food and Ingredients is listed twice in Conflicting Graphics.
  5. SkyFalls and SkyMills 3.3.2 is on Nexus and the link in the 2.2.9.2 guide provides the instructions on installing this version, if this is what you're asking. Just keep in mind that 2.2.9.2 isn't quite released yet and a couple of the ESPs still reference the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, so these need to be manually edited in TES5Edit to change the master to Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch. At least this was the case when I installed it the other day.
  6. If you download Complete Crafting Overhaul Remade 1.7 (the current version), you don't need the hotfix. I think you still need the CCO Compatibility Patch for WAF True Weapons, and you should hide or disable the Weapons & Armor_TrueWeaponsLvlLists.esp plugin in Weapon and Armor Fixes Remade.
  7. I think it looks a bit better if you look at the Top 25 mods of the past two weeks or the Top 25 endorsed mods of all time. I have no idea what criteria Nexus uses to show the top 5 mods on the front page, but I usually just glance at the front page to see if anything interesting shows up (like perhaps Audio Overhaul for Skyrim 2 - Purity Patches) and then check New Recently to see if anything interesting shows up.
  8. Yes, you can change your character's appearance in the game at pretty much any point. You can do this by visiting the "face sculptor" in the Ragged Flagon (down in the Ratway) in Riften and there are a few mod that add items or other alternative methods to bring up the character edit menu. Changing your appearance doesn't (or shouldn't) have any side effects, but changing your race may some side effects.
  9. These are separate issues, z. The issue here is that 32-bit DirectX9 games can use more than 4GB Video RAM on Windows 7, but these same games are capped at 4GB Video RAM on Windows 8 and Windows 10 for some unknown reason. One person even created a demo app that allocates more than 4GB Video RAM and it runs perfectly on Windows 7, but it throws a DX9 memory allocation exception on Windows 8 and Windows 10. I think ENBSeries is saying his Video Memory Size Tool is showing the same 4GB Video RAM cap on Windows 8 and 10, and this just allocates blocks of Video RAM until the allocation fails to determine the video memory size. This reports 7904 MB on Windows 7 and 4064 MB on Windows 10. Apparently a lot of people thought it was an Nvidia driver issue that was preventing the use of more than 4GB Video RAM, but it looks as if it may be an intrinsic issue in the Windows 8/10 platform itself since Windows 7 isn't affected and both NVidia and AMD cards are capped at 4GB on Windows 8/10.
  10. If you read the last comment on that bug, it states: This seems to imply this is an issue in the Windows platform itself.
  11. I just setup DynDOLOD on a fresh install and I'm seeing the same thing. If I look out the porch into the great beyond, I see the rotating fans of the windmill at Loreius Farm but the structure holding the fans is missing.
  12. I take it this means the bushes really changed from Skyrim? The first time I played Skyrim I was avoiding the bushes and tree limbs because I expected it to be at least somewhat like real life and was surprised to discover I can walk right through them as if they aren't even there. Oh to be naive again.
  13. Octopuss is correct that write lifetime is very high with SSDs thanks to advances in the technology combined with logic that reduces the number of writes to individual cells, although it is a good idea to keep ample free space on SSDs so it can spread writes around to unused cells.
  14. Has anyone else noticed that clicking Post (to post a new message) brings up the message "Saving post..." (or something to that effect), but it never completes posting the message? Just to be clear, the message is posted but the UI makes it seems as if it is hung.
  15. Mage Outfit Texture Overhaul - With Schools of Magic and Mage Outfit Texture Overhaul - Gloves.
  16. The video shows how much physical memory is being used, but it does not show how much virtual memory is being used on disk.
  17. Thanks for the heads up.
  18. I've been wondering why those sweet rolls tasted like leather. Now I know.
  19. Tracking performance statistics is a lot easier if you have two or more monitors. I usually use a combination of Skyrim Performance Monitor and Windows Performance Monitor on a secondary monitor while I play the game on the primary monitor. This way I can glance at the second monitor to see all the stats while I'm playing. If you have a single monitor, Skyrim Performance Monitor is the best option. Skyrim Performance Monitor stops capturing data after you exit the game and keeps the data in the charts so you can easily check out the statistics after playing for a while.
  20. Have you installed and enabled .NET Framework 3.5?
  21. I used Eyes of Beauty about three years ago when it first came out and I seem to remember it looked pretty good if I remember correctly, but I haven't compared the eye mods that are available either. In fact, I used Eyes of Beauty for a short while and haven't really given it much thought after I reinstalled everything using STEP or STEP+REGS because I haven't been paying much attention to the NPCs in game. I tend to read the (arrgh... brain farit) whatever the text that displays when players talk instead of watching them.
  22. What I find interesting is that I opened the Dragon Priest thread in a browser and everything is normal. I then changed the user agent string to Windows Phone 7 and it immediately popped up the box asking me to install Tapatalk.
  23. I take it you've ruled out the theory that faster SSDs has something to do with it?
  24. This is strange because Google is putting the URL in the referer parameter for some reason. This is the decoded value in the referer parameter, and it goes right to the Dragon Priest thread. https://forum.step-project.com/topic/8333-dragon-priest-by-kajuan/
  25. I like the looks of this one as well. Notably, I think this one fixes the hairline around the forehead and hair overall looks better.
