  1. Copying modlist.txt from another person works only if the mods are named exactly the same on both systems.
  2. I think this information is included in case someone wants to install STEP Extended as a base for some other purpose (say to add a pack or custom mods on top of STEP Extended) and isn't using the STEP Extended Patch.
  3. Did you install the Open Cities compatibility patch?

  5. Credits have a financial incentive to companies in much the same way as gift cards. Customers purchase gift cards or credits so the company receives immediate cash in the bank, but the company isn't required to put this money on the books until the customer actually purchases something with the gift card or credit. Companies love gift cards because a significant percentage of purchased gift cards are never redeemed. Credits are also often used to obfuscate the true price of a product and is often used in an attempt to disassociate real currency from the equation. What I mean by this is that the company wants users to think in terms of credits instead of cash because buying low-quality armor texture for 10 credits may not seem so bad whereas buying a low-quality armor texture for $2.75 may seem ridiculous. There are also two end-games with credits that companies like: 1) users don't use all credits for in-game purchases so it's essentially free money in company pockets; or 2) users end up with 7 credits remaining and are forced to purchase another 500 credits to get that one low-quality texture for 10 credits. Either way, the money is in the bank well before it must be reported on the books and unused credits are typically not refundable.

    MO Error

The log Grant is asking for is in the same folder as mo_interface.log and is created when you start the game from within Mod Organizer, so you'll need to run Mod Organizer and then run skse.exe to get into the game, exit the game, and upload the log file to somewhere like pastebin.

    MO Error

I think you forgot to include a link to your log.
  8. I haven't noticed any issues with the dark theme either, although I am currently using Paper Dark by Polykobus.
  9. I think the easiest way to uncover the issue is to do exactly as you propose... uncheck all the mods installed in this session, ensure the game works correctly. If the game is working, check a few mods at a time while continually checking that the game works as expected.
  10. If I remember correctly, the Dragon Rising starts eight days after you give Farengar the Dragonstone so you have plenty of time to roam around and do other stuff before dealing with the dragon.
  11. I think the easiest way to find out is to uncheck everything in the left pane. This leaves all the mods in place but disables them so they aren't see in the game. Now run through the intro with a new character to verify the vanilla game is working. If the game still crashes, use BethINI to clean the ini files and double check your settings in enblocal.ini. You might also verify the masters in the Skyrim/Data folder are unaltered. Assuming this works fine, enable just the cleaned masters (Update, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and Dragonborn) and run through the intro again. I suspect it's most likely the cleaned masters; if so, you can double click the cleaned mods in the left pane to remove the cleaned EMSs and run through the cleaning process once more and verify the game works. Assuming everything works up to this point, check all the mods one section at a time and run through the intro again just to verify everything is good.

    MO Error

Disable your antivirus software and ensure Mod Organizer, SKSE, and Skyrim are not in a protected folder (like C:\Program Files).
  13. In that case, I'm obviously woefully behind on my information on MO2. I thought I had remembered Le Presidente mentioning an issue along these lines and looking for someone with the skills to fix it but this was a while back.
  14. I think this is a known issue with MO2 and currently there is no known solution.
  15. I usually install it in C:\Steam and this seems to be a sensible place for it since GOG games are also installed in C:\GOG Games. I personally dislike having executables in the Documents folder since I prefer to use this exclusively for documents. Part of this is because I keep the Documents folder indexed for easy searching and Steam doesn't need to be indexed.
  16. I suspect what happened is that something had a file or the folder locked (e.g. just by having an open path to that file or folder). When you deleted the file or folder, Windows puts it into a "pending delete" status so it can delete it after the open path is closed. Unfortunately, Windows Explorer is rather lame in that it pops up a vague and misleading "access denied" or similar message. If you go to a DOS prompt and do the same thing you'll get a more appropriate error message.
  17. I think it's best to keep the posts up so the information helps others that may run into the same issue.
  18. If you're using an Nvidia video card, I think I remember some information floating around here somewhere explaining how to limit the FPS in the video drivers instead of relying on ENBoost to do it. For the enblocal.ini file, you can probably just restore it from the original archive and then configure it per the guide.
  19. Keep the original files in the Data folder. I don't recommend removing them because you want to keep the Data folder as close to vanilla as possible and at some point Steam may decide to redownload them if they're missing anyway. If you're referring to recording the game, you need to keep the FPS capped at no higher than 60 FPS otherwise the game physics goes haywire.
  20. One of the patches bundled with the 4GB VRAM cap fix breaks Mod Organizer's virtual file system.
  21. Tannin release the 2.0.7 version just before he was hired by Nexus to create a new mod manager for Nexus so he stopped all development of Mod Organizer. LePresidente then forked Tanin's code on github to fix some of the issues to bring it up to 2.0.8.3. You can find 2.0.83 on LePresidente's fork on github at https://github.com/LePresidente/modorganizer/releases.
  22. If you are on Windows 10 and have installed the 4GB VRAM patch from the Insider Updates, this apparently bundles some other patches that breaks Mod Organizer's virtual file system.
  23. If that's the slow ring version that fixes the 4GB VRAM limit in Windows 10, lots of users are also complaining that it breaks Mod Organizer's ability to hook Skyrim into the virtual file system.
  24. Incorrect FPS reading with 0.305 may be a factor and I've never used it to gauge FPS in game. I always FRAPS or Skyrim Performance Monitor. NVidia Inspector may report reliable FPS as well but I can't say since I have an AMD video card.
  25. Mod Organizer provides Skyrim with only the winner of the conflict so Skyrim never sees the conflict losers.
