  1. v2.0 incoming:
  2. I think you need to make sure you have Brawl Bug Patch. This mod is included in the next STEP release as well.
  3. I removed the minimum height but I'm not seeing a different font size (except for the heading of course). Â When I'm not exhausted I'll see about making the heading and width optional as well.
  4. Updated the template a bit.
  5. BOSS says which mods are dirty, but I'm not sure how thoroughly they check whether to clean it or not. As far as I remember, there aren't any STEP mods that shouldn't be cleaned and at the moment all of mine are clean. Unfortunately there's no good way to tell if the cleaning will break the mod, you just have to try it and see how things go in-game. For STEP v2.2.1 we're adding notes about which mods to clean, although it might not be complete. The work-in-progress guide can be found here, and note that we have removed Cartographer's Map Markers. If you find any other mods that need cleaning and aren't mentioned on the v2.2.1 guide please let us know so we can update it.
  6. Lol, I love the comic even if it isn't following suit. Glad to see you haven't completely disappeared and are still checking up on things :D
  7. I'm at class at the moment, but please pass this along to both authors and see if one of them will release a compatibility version.
  8. Just kidding guys, nothing to see here. He doesn't have any cake left
  9. Thanks for the updates Kelmych, they're much appreciated. Before we release v2.2.1 we want the SIG to be as up-to-date as we can make it so we're not causing confusion. If a few of us can give it a good scrubbing and polishing that'd be a great help. The only glaring error is that the Steam installation section needs to be rewritten since they now allow you to select different installation directories.
  10. This was done so that everyone could contribute without needing to go through an admin/Wiki Editor. The main guide and the pages used to support it are protected from normal editing though, so don't worry about those. While having the Wiki open does present some risk, the fact that forum registration is required deters a lot of the automated spammers and RecentChanges let's us track any change made to any page. Even if a user goes in and blanks every page he can find, us admins can undo everything that user has done with a single click. So with us, and hopefully a few dedicated users, watching we should be able to minimize any possible vandalism/spam.Â
  11. which is a very manual process, with This automates the currently suggested manual process without the user having to manually populate all the fields and parameters. Sounds good, go ahead and update it if you want.
  12. Diverse Trees is included in the main SFO now.Nope, Vurt's updated his to be much better.Link. I'll start updating the OP right now, so when you see the "Latest update" with today's date, you'll know I'm done.
  13. The primary argument against these compilations is that it makes STEP heavily reliant on the mod. If anything should happen, via removal or the author stopping updates, then the entire thing becomes worthless and we have to reincorporate everything back into main STEP anyways. I also wonder how any conflicts within the mods was resolved, until that's addressed it will be fairly hard to evaluate it against the standalone mods. Just for reference, here's the status of the mods included: Red - Mod denied for STEPYellow - Mod already in STEP Green - Mod not yet considered (that I can recall anyways) Mods found in both TPC and 40SmallAsh Pile Retex by Raymond Murphy Designs of the Nords by KEBW1144 Detailed Chests Texture Replacers by clintmich HD Linens by rivybeast HD Misc by calav3ra HD Sacks Retexture by Mazarin HQ Skyrim map V2 by Grace Darkling and Paddyy Hybrids HD Plants and Herbs Retexture by Gabriel Gullbergh Intricate Spider Webs by isoku Realistic Instruments - Flute Lute and Drum HQ by InwardScreams Septim HD by Crypton Silly Level of Detail - Wine Cellar -- SLOD WC by Narmix Super Realistic Ore Textures by Kman420 Tobes Highres Textures by Mr Bravo aka Tobe Mods in 40Small not found in TPC Better Bedrolls by sval - HDDLC looks much better Better Bones by Ironman5000 Better Circlets HQ V1o1 by Yuril Better Shadowmarks by Funsize Cinematic Fire Effects by Ichibu - Ultimate HD Fire Spells is better Dragon Glyphs HD by Valstein0 - Not optimized, STEP uses the "Fixed" version I uploaded Elaborate Textiles - NPC Clothing Retexture by Miss Obsidienne - Inconsistant quality, a decent chunk of them are worse than the HDDLC Finer Dust by CptJoker Hanging Moss HD Texture by Deanoman HD Baskets Retex by Jimmu aka Himini HD Chest Retex by Jimmu aka Himini HD Urns Retex by Jimmu aka Himini HiRes Legible Road Signs by SPARTAN VI HiRes Tree Stumps by SPARTAN VI and Fhaarkas HQ Menu Smoke by Ayhay123 - STEP uses No Menu Smoke, although the difference is negligible Improved Torches Textures by TERAB1T - STEP uses Ultimate HD Torch Lockpick Inventory Remodel by born2bkilled Lockpicking interface retex by Quazaque Makers Mark Ingots by Mike Omni N-R HD Display Case by kobayashi345 Pond Fish Retexture by DOPR Realistic Paper by realadry Slightly Less Terrible Hanging Herbs by faeriexdecay Weapon Retexture Project - WRP by Millenia - Soon to be replaced by Book of Silence Yuril Rings HQ by Yuril Given the number of choices STEP has disagreed with I don't think we'd consider the mod, and this is on top of the previous issues we've both raised. EDIT: Nor would I call some of these retextures "small".
  14. Should this be added to the mod tables as well? I haven't dug into any of the updated HDDLC stuff yet.
  15. Thanks for the update, this guide needs serious love. It always bugged me that the Script Dragon site did that. Go ahead and change it, I'm on my phone so I can't. Also, could you (or anyone) do mishmash's suggestion as well?
  16. Wut. I'm not sure if you're sarcastic' date=' but where do you supposed I get the old DLC from??[/quote'] I am. Since you paid for the game, it's free anyways, and it's purely for "research" purposes I totally understand.

If the chat was persistent (i.e. keep the previous 100-200 posts in the window) that'd be the best solution I think. That way there can be non-realtime informal discussion as well as realtime whenever enough people pop on. It might also get used a lot more if a few of us regulars made an effort to actually get on consistently. Even if we don't talk a lot it will make the number non-zero and perhaps attract others.
  18. I feel the exact opposite, installing mods manually is a lot easier as you just drag and drop, but without a mod manager then once you install everything there's no way to know where any specific file came from. Without the ability to selectively disable, remove, or move mods how can you feel any control over your mods? Once you install all the mods manually its pretty much set in stone right? I'm not trying to simply refute you, I'm genuinely curious as to your thought process.
  19. Good luck updating mods or to the next STEP release... I can't think of any benefit to not using a mod manager at this point.
  20. On top of the changed/updated textures mentioned here, I've compiled a list of new conflicts introduced by the HDDLC update that need to be evaluated against the current mod list. Someone might want to double-check my work since WB is saying that the new and old HDDLC archives only share ~15 files, is that a problem in WB that has to do with the large number of files? Anyways, here's the list of additional STEP v2.2.1 conflicts introduced by the HDDLC update: ==61== [zA-F] HQ Shields v1.0.7z textures\armor\dragonbone\dragonboneshield.dds textures\armor\dragonbone\dragonboneshield_n.dds ==109== [zA-H] Arvak Reborn (DG Req, 1024, Soul Cairn) v1.01.7z textures\actors\dlc01\shadowmere\shadowmere_m.dds textures\actors\dlc01\shadowmere\shadowmere_n.dds textures\actors\dlc01\shadowmere\shadowmeresoulcairn.dds textures\actors\dlc01\shadowmere\shadowmeresoulcairn_g.dds ==110== [zA-H] Bellyache's Dragons v1.1.7z textures\actors\dlc01\dragon\dragonicelake.dds textures\actors\dlc01\dragon\dragonpurple.dds textures\actors\dlc01\dragon\icelakedragonlod.dds ==128== [zA-H] XCE-Dawnguard (DG Req) v1.0.7z textures\actors\character\eyes\eyesnowelf.dds textures\actors\character\eyes\eyevampire_02.dds textures\actors\character\female\femaleheadvampire.dds textures\actors\character\female\femaleheadvampire_msn.dds textures\actors\character\male\maleheadvampire.dds textures\actors\character\male\maleheadvampire_msn.dds ==133== [zA-I]Book of Silence (Elven gold, Weapons) v1.4.7z textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrboots.dds textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrboots_n.dds textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrgauntlets.dds textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrgauntlets_n.dds textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrhelmet.dds textures\armor\draugr\femaledraugrhelmet_n.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrboots.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrboots_n.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrgauntlets.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrgauntlets_n.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrhelmet.dds textures\armor\draugr\maledraugrhelmet_n.dds ==176== [K] Designs of the Nords v1.5.7z textures\dlc01\architecture\dawnguard\dbanner01.dds
