DROPPED More Interactive Items - Grab Moveable Statics (by JustinOther)
Farlo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yup... I'll add a note on the Dev thread. -
DROPPED Closer Quivers and Longer Arrows (by EvilDeadAsh34)
Farlo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Thanks for posting this, I'm just about to update the note. Why is the older version recommended for males anyways? v2 doesn't include "fixed arrow recovery" so I'd rather not recommend it if we don't have to. -
DROPPED Closer Quivers and Longer Arrows (by EvilDeadAsh34)
Farlo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'll try to update the notes a bit, perhaps I'll make it "detailed" and use a bullet-point list. I think I have it all down, but I agree that we should get the author to create an All-in-One with a wizard. -
v1.79a released, I have a couple questions: Is the "Tree Collision Fix" file still needed with this release? What will happen if a user doesn't apply the INI tweak ("iMaxGrassTypesPerTexure=6")? I'll add it to the guide none-the-less but I'm wondering if we should issue some kind of announcement to let everyone who already followed the guide know. Also, is there any performance hit with this tweak?Â

DROPPED More Village Animals (by Michele Angelo)
Farlo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Does the author know about this bug? Only reason I'd not recommend all of them. I'll update the note on the guide nonetheless. -
1024px vs. 2048px Graphics Mods
Farlo replied to RangerElessar's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I have a full 1024 setup (1GB VRAM here) and I don't notice any major distinctions between the 2k and 1k textures, but if you do find some inconsistencies let us know where (with screenshots of course). I can't believe you're getting stuttering with all that VRAM, you should run some benchmarking tests and find out if your VRAM is really the bottleneck, although I can't imagine the others causing problems either, you have my rig beat in every aspect. -
ACCEPTED Dead Body Collision Fix (by LargeStyle)
Farlo replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
This weekend I might actually be able to test stuff, but I approve of the idea at least. I'll try to make all the mod pages later tonight if no one beats me to it. -
This depends on how far away we see Packs actually taking form, and I'm not entirely sure. I think some of the more "basic" gameplay mods such as this one, and in fact most current gameplay mods, should stay in Core STEP, but that's a discussion for another thread.

I've updated the note to be a bit more explicit, hope that clears it up.

Oops, I wasn't aware anyone was using the default images. I decided to delete them all because none of them were really relevant to STEP (mostly demo/default icons) and somehow some of our users' images got on there. If you really care I can add the butterfly back :P

Nope, mods don't have anything to do with INI files, in fact I highly doubt they're even able to access them. There are a few mods that suggest you manually make changes to the INI file, but we've already incorporated those into the INI Tweaks section of the guide.

Step 2.2.1 done but a few Conflicts
Farlo replied to Momitja's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I'm not sure whether to disable the main ESP when you're using a language patch, but I assume you do. All the others should be fine, although I'm still not seeing any conflict between Enhanced Blood and Brawl Bug Patch on my end, I'll take another look when I get home. -
Unfortunately we haven't set up any Packs yet, although I've been meaning to allocate some forums to their discussion. Give us a few days and we can carve out some space for Pack brainstorming and development.
-
As I just found out, you have to do that to create a BCF anyway. Â So how would I go about making it available? Add it as an attachment to a post on the mod's thread in the Anthology and once one of us confirms it works we'll upload it to the Wiki.

Step 2.2.1 done but a few Conflicts
Farlo replied to Momitja's question in General Skyrim LE Support
That depends on what they're conflicting with. I assume the BSEeffects.esp is conflicting with it's non-Dawnguard counterpart? Same thing with SMIM and it's German patch. As for the scripts, the Acquisitive Soul Gems and The Choice is Yours conflicts are normal, although I'm not seeing any conflicts with Enhanced Blood Textures, what are they overwriting? -
The load order goes from 1 -> max and that's saying that MO "compiles" the virtual data folder in that order, meaning the lower priority mods will be overwritten by those with higher priority. Oh come now, we're friendlier than that! Unfortunately I'm not familiar with CoT so I can't give you a decent answer, but someone around here surely can. The only files that might cause problems are scripts, the rest just overwrite each other as you said so you only see whichever files have the highest priority. That's pretty much it! The mod tables in STEP are set up to be followed exactly, so as long as your order matches ours, you should get the desired effect. For ESPs, we just trust BOSS with that one.

Unless that texture was added to the HRDLC in the latest update then we know that it's better than what Vanilla/HRDLC provides. I still wish we could find a full changelog between the HRDLCs.

DROPPED Closer Quivers and Longer Arrows (by EvilDeadAsh34)
Farlo replied to stoppingby4now's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Awesome, I agree that getting all those in order is a pain, thanks! -
Will do, silly Z :P

Not a crash report specifically, but you can enable the script logs by setting the following in Skyrim.ini [Papyrus] bEnableLogging=1 bEnableTrace=1 bLoadDebugInformation = 1
-
The first step would be to try and reproduce this with a new save. If it still happens then, then start a save with all the ESPs disabled and re-enable a few at a time until it starts happening again, that way you can hopefully pin it down to one mod. Make sure to report back with your findings!
