  1. I updated the format a bit, that way we don't need to change the notes when we release. This is also why I suggested making a separate guide for it, because clicking that link while on the guide will simply jump you up above the tables.
  2. Thanks. For some reason multi-select isn't working for me...
  3. Split from another thread. Carry on.
  4. Wizards should be placed directly in top-level of the archive. If you used Golden God Shrine's BCF it should have placed it there for you. Confirm that it's in the right place and maybe even reboot WB. The patch overwriting the original version is exactly what we want. The original hasn't been updated in many months and it's generally not safe to use mods not made for the version of Skyrim you're using. In fact, the link on the Wiki should point you to the compatibility patch in the first place, as that's the only file needed (the original is only one ESP as well).
  5. I'm actually 6'3", so I must be the King Gnome. I wish I remember where I got that icon, I've had it since I was like 12 but I can't find the original, even with Google.
  6. Jeez, this Farlo person must really have it out for you, I can't imagine why though. Either way, what with his awesome Admin powers, you should tread carefully
  7. Welcome to the boards Jaws! If you'd like to have the super-awesome-and-cool-but-not-really-useful Mod Author nameplate toss me a PM on the Nexus so that I can confirm it's you.
  8. You'll also need BOSS, which sorts your ESP/Ms based on some kind of voodoo magic (priority system) to make everything run better. Once it's installed you just run it whenever you add or remove an ESP and it will sort them for you.
  9. The entire point of the BCFs is that they work with the archive as it's downloaded off the Nexus without having to mess with it, so if you've been moving things around then it will definitely not work. I'm not sure how you thought it would work if you're in there moving bits around beforehand, pretty much any installer relies on being told the expected format and what to do with them.
  10. It depends on the file itself, not the name. WB is a bit more clever in its authentication so it runs a checksum on all the files and bases it off of that. The archive with the BCF in it should go in the Converters folder as you said and should end in either "-BCF.7z" or "-BCF-Wizard.7z". Which BCF are you trying to use?Â
  11. Read the bolded bit in the OP's second paragraph. Wrye Bash and Mod Organizer are both different (although similar) means to the same end. Mod Organizer has a much simpler interface for normal use, and I hear it's gotten even better recently. I'm currently using WB because I like the conflict view better, but it's almost down to personal preference at this point. The one thing WB does that MO can't is a Bashed Patch, which is unnecessary for STEP at this point, and even then you can make them work together when you do need it. Either way I suggest you pick one and learn to use it well.
  12. Just get the Installer, that should set itself up easier. Where did it say you needed a PDF reader to open SKSE, it's an archive (compressed file) and should be opened via 7zip. As for installation instrcutions, Neovalen has you do it partially manually and partial via MO, but I can't remember what to do specifically. With either MO or WB I simply install SKSE manually by following the readme. This is the simplest method, and assuming you can follow the instructions, shouldn't result in any issues.
  13. Hopefully we can provide enough feedback through this thread to nudge them in the right direction. I'm still not sure why they aren't all working together, but whatever :P
  14. Moved a few posts from the v2.2.1 thread to this one so we can find them later. Carry on!
  15. That depends on the licensing, unless they're public domain, GNU, or CC then we can't use them. If you can find the publisher/author of them and link to their copyright terms then I'll see about adding them.
  16. Under the bsa tab in MO when you right click there is an option to "extract". Can I just use that? When I first started MO there was a dialog box with option to auto extract bsa's but I told it not to and not ask again. Is that option hidden somewhere..? Thanks for the help so far.... Using that should work, just make sure you extract it to the right folder. I'm not sure how to undo that specific "do not ask again" setting, but I assume it's stored in one of the INIs in the MO folder, I'd check there and toss the author a message.
  17. Author released a smaller (1.23x) version so that the blades don't clip with the Solitude Stables. Not sure if we want to use this version or convince the author to move the windmill a tad.
  18. Thanks for using that icon, I just cleaned it up to get rid of the white edges and re-uploaded it. Let me know (in the Features and Requests forum) if you come across any others. Nah, I'm pretty sure it was Farlo's minions.Obviously, Z is one of my minions White edges still present :@ I am disappoint!Ctrl+F5, I'll go rebuild the cache right now.

  20. You should see all the Admin-only threads we have piled up in the back room :D That's pretty interesting, we're currently using TSOHost if I'm not mistaken. I assume falling outside of "normal" would be if you were using the site as a file server or something like that. Those prices aren't bad and the 100% wind energy thing is a nice bonus I can think about while driving to work :P Z's the one paying the bills and Stopping would have a lot more knowledge on all that, so I defer to them.
  21. At the moment we're using 68/150 GB of bandwidth for this month. In all of December we used 70GB. This is very rough, 3AM math, but at the current rate I'd estimate we top 85GB at least for the whole month given current rates, which leaves an "extra" 65GB to deal with the increase in traffic. According to Firebug the guide "costs" ~900K per hit with an empty cache and ~300K otherwise. If we take a rough average of 600K per hit that means we can handle an additional 100,000 or so hits to the guide this month. Mind you, this doesn't include people clicking through to the mod pages or downloading the BCFs, much less signing up for the forums to ask questions and what-have-you. We'll definitely have to keep an eye on the bandwidth meter as we roll out v2.2.1.
  22. So I'm not the only one that watches that intently! I imagine we'll blow that record out of the water in the days following v2.2.1's release.
  23. One day soon! v2.2.1 will be fairly bare-bones but with all the awesome work Neovalen's done we just need to implement some Semantic stuff to catalog all the beautiful customization and then we can merge them.
