  1. I can help with a personal fix, but a fix for everyone is going to take those mod authors making their stuff compatible. Do you have the meshes and textures for the mods? If so, just archive them and post a link. I will look at them if I have some time.
  2. I agree. It looks awful and just seem to apply a dark filter to the snow more than anything.
  3. Dawnstar has this snowy mine entrance.
  4. That looks like a normal map being applied. I wonder if it's the projectednormal.dds? Good finds coming in!
  5. Sweet! Good find!
  6. Huh? Book of Silence is already part of the Guide. Will not likely make the cut. It's not a 1:1 to the old content addon as some options have been "locked in". It's inclusion would have to be discussed because it's adding in several, non-vanilla armors/armor variants that we used to keep out of the Guide.
  7. They would be putting up the LE Guide, but I have no idea when that will be. The latest version of that is 2.10.0. Version 2.10.1 was a developmental Guide that was never released.
  8. Check the MCM menu. It has some additional styles. You can get the NPC's reference or base ID and use those to look them up in xEdit. From there, you can view their inventory and outfits they're using. That will get you started and you'll have to investigate further from.
  9. NPCs are either assigned specific outfits or will use an outfit from a list.
  10. Yeah, you can make it a mod. Actually leaving it active won't hurt anything either.
  11. I take it there is no custom patching? I see a bunch of individual patches, but nothing custom. I guarantee RWT is at least conflicting with something in your setup that isn't patched, but that shouldn't be the cause of your CTD. However, no custom patching could be the cause. I'd also verify the QW_* patches. I discovered the majority of these that I tested were out of date.
  12. Well, my understanding would be that most users install the guide and play. Not be re-generating LODs all the time, like I would for testing. I can certainly update the instructions to make it a mod instead of just tossing in temporarily.
  13. That's probably because without the patch, the edit is still present in the STEP CR Patch. I popped into a new game and the tablet is fine with the patch removed and the edit removed from the CR Patch:
  14. I don't think they have it up yet, but when it is up, it should just be the "Skyrim Total Enhancement Guide".
  15. I think if it did, we would have heard complaints of snow in Solstheim instead of ash a very long time ago. I didn't check, but I'm 100% on the "no" for the diffuse, at least. Good question though, considering there is ash material like snow material. Now I'm curious why it doesn't...
  16. Thanks! The feedback of switching from ELE to Luminosity has been nothing but positive so far. Thanks. I forgot about Modern Brawl Bug Fix. It was included in EBT, but since we switched versions, that's no longer the case. I've got it added back to the Guide. As for the MM and Pilgrims Delight patch, that is already included in the CR Patch...though I thought I remembered someone saying it wasn't necessary with the new version so... Yes, I checked with the edits removed and there doesn't appear to be any issues without the patch on the new version of MM. The next version of the CR Patch will have this patch removed. Correct. Weird in that the NPCs are doing different stuff than they did in ICAIO?
  17. Then you're most likely cause is something that isn't patched. Did you do any custom patching after you installed extra mods?
  18. I bet they are just removing the gradient/glow from the mesh, just is likely causing a filter to brighten things up. I'll take a look. You should have set an output path during setup. It got updated, so check out the Tool section again.
  19. I wouldn't mind it being removed by default and Project Diffuse to be on for all presets. I wouldn't put it in the Recommended Tweaks, though. Seeing that it darkens the snow, and knowing now that is it likely the cause of the mine entrance going white, I wouldn't recommend it. It can also cause some issues with landscape textures that aren't snow. I'm not sure about the top two, but the bottom two most likely control how the either the projecteddiffuse.dds or projectednormal.dds is scaled/tiled over the objects (or both since the normal is the "normal map" for the diffuse).
  20. We're going to rely on the projected diffuse, but correct objects that have issues such as bad application, stretching, etc. Then the rest of the most will be an expansion to what we're already doing with the farmhouses. The farmhouses should see some improvement too.
  21. The next update to Cathedral Landscapes should have roads. I know JonnyWang was working on them at one point.
  22. You don't need it. I'll drop it from testing. When you run XLODGen for terrain LOD32, that is the map. You're generating a custom map from the textures in your install instead of relying on mods like this to provide "semi-accurate" maps.
  23. Holy crap! There is no way I can recommend the improved snow shader after seeing those shots! Looks like it's the culprit of that mine entrance issue users have asked about. It also darkens the snow. Thanks for the shots! As for BDS, I guess the cat is out of the bag. SparrowPrince and myself are fully aware that the enabling the projected diffuse (which BethINI does by default, I think) does the same thing as BDS. In fact, I've been aware of it for some time. The thing that we weren't aware of was how far reaching the INI tweak went. We recently found out that it should cover anything that has a snow material applied. The main differences from my own testing turned up just about the same as yours. In some cases BDS is a bit smoother, which can be seen in shot 2 (porch) and shot 6 (up-close ground). In other cases, the projected diffuse is better, as seen in shot 1 (logs on entrance, ground at entrance, mountain side behind barrels) and shot 3 (rock cliff). With all that said, we're already planning a remake of BDS.
  24. You really need to ensure you have a strong and stable Guide setup before adding anything to it. My recommendation is to remove the mods that are not in the Guide, their patches, etc. Go through the details of the Guide, again, if need be. If you're still having issues with a 100% pure Guide setup, then we can talk business. The reason you're not likely to find much help until you to that is because the staff is not familiar with the mods you've added. This is why we ask for a pure setup of the Guide, ensure that is stable, and then move on to adding additional mods. As it stands, we have no way of knowing if it's the mods you've added or something Guide related or something system related. Lets get the Guide portion ruled out, first.
  25. Seems legit. The creators/maintainers approached us and we gave them the approval to put up the LE Guide there.
