I, personally, don't. magic in the game is probably the most unbalanced part of the game. You can easily go and become a warrior with a weapon, but if you're chosen weapon is magic, then you're going die and die often. I tried playing a straight mage once and it was the first time I beat the game and you know how I did it? God mode! It was impossible for me to play straight through as a striaght mage. I've tried several magic mods here and there, but none I were completely happy with. That was some time ago.

https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:0.3.0b#STEP_6 Move them to the mod's folder. The entire folder structure.

They are too subjective to the user's preference. The decision to not include one is that simple. ENBs can drastically change the look of your game so we've left it up to the user to decide to install one or not.

Yeah, I think it is reversed. You can flip it easily using a data or word program. Sorry, PC master race here. I only use a controller when developers fail to realize PC gamers don't have three hands to play with (looking at you Witcher and Assassins Creed ).

RUSTIC CLUTTER COLLECTION - Special Edition (by Gamwich)
TechAngel85 replied to sirtechfan's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
I believe most of the stuff in that mod is covered by other mods in the Guide. I remember checking it out once a long time ago and it was all very similar to what we had. I've probably not looked at it on SE. -

bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.3.0b - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Wow...I am surprised you were able to decipher that reply. haha! Just Exit then. Same program running in the background but different wording on the prompts...programmers. -
You should be using the latest guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:0.3.0b

Yes, you set all four levels. Each level represents a LOD level....think of this as distance from player where each level is a further distanced terrain rendered than the previous. LOD4 and LOD8 is most of the LOD terrain you see. LOD4 being be closest. LOD16 is the very furthest terrain you'll see in the game. LOD32 is the map.

All that info is at the end of the Guide in step 5. Just expand the spoilers.

Suggestion: Unlimited Bookshelves Patch Generator
TechAngel85 replied to Tykune's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Nope. The Patches have always covered this. I don't have those issues with the few bookcases I've used. Proper bookcases have a collision box in front so you can't grab the items off the shelves (also so they don't fall off when havok is settled). The books may fall over, though, until the bookshelf is full. -

Suggestion: Unlimited Bookshelves Patch Generator
TechAngel85 replied to Tykune's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Yeah, this is just a patcher. It will basically forward the object bounds so they sit correctly. The STEP Patches do this already, but it would be great for anyone needing to create their own patches. It allows a very quick way to patch Unlimited Bookshelves for the load order because there can be quite a few conflicts and it can take a while to patch manually. -
It's currently not required, not. I left it unpatched this time until we decide to keep it or not.

You mod list is stored in your modlist.txt document. This is found within your profile folder. If MO is used for instances, it'll be in AppData. If portable, it'll be wherever MO is installed.
-
You can just update your mod list. Just pay attention to the changelog.

Yes. v0.3.0b drops ELE and adds Luminosity which takes care of this. I had to go look...Haha! I always use "qqq" to leave the game (habit from authoring). It's there....just go to the System page and scroll down to "Quit". You can also open the console and type QQQ, hit enter, and it'll quit the game for you without saving (so save first if using). That's probably vanilla, in all honesty. If not, we did switch out ICAIO with AI Overhaul, so there a change with NPCs in v0.3.0b You should be loading via MO and not manually so that is right. If you restart MO after installing the SKSE, MO should detect and add it automatically. Yes! Since you're right at the start of a game, I would encourage you to update. There have been a lot of things addressed and new processes for LOD added. You will have to start a new game, though.

The RX480 only slightly underperforms compared to my GTX 1060. In fact, you system is very similar to mine, therefore, you should get close to the same results. I stick to a 2K baseline, going to 4K only for the larger objects who's texture doesn't repeat (think giants and dragons, not buildings) and 1K for some of the small, insignificant items (think clutter). With a lightweight ENB, I rarely drop below the mid-40s and I only go that low in intense places, like the frozen marsh.

bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.3.0b - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Thanks! I took care of all that. There isn't any list anywhere. General advice is it to clean whatever LOOT says. I'll make a decision on LoSII. I'm not sure I want to keep it in or not...it's a fair deviation from vanilla and a patch is needed for the light colors. I haven't fully patched LosII yet because I'm still undecided on it. Thanks! These are corrected. -
bug STEP Skyrim SE Guide v0.3.0b - Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
No, it was going to be until I got JonnyWang to include it in the next Cathedral Landscapes update. Because of that, I decided to not add it and just wait for the update. I've removed it from the log. Yes. This was from before ELE was removed. I've corrected the instructions and updated the links. -

ACCEPTED 8K Night Skies - Stars and Galaxies (by JonnyWang)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
After some more testing and playing for several hours, I grew to dislike Vistant more and more as it consistently looked a bit low quality. This one seemed to look good while still being a close resemblance to vanilla. The recommended option provides a vanilla-like experience and when combined with Cathedral Weathers, pairs nicely default ambient light during clear weather.- 4 replies
