The main difference is in the base enbseries.ini. That is almost completely reconfigured. We've yet to start on multiple weathers. For whatever reason Cathedral Minimalist lacked a lot of simple adjusts. It also lacks support for some of the latest ENBSeries features and settings. But as Z mentioned, we're still developing it. There is a lot going on for v2.0 of the SE Guide and no one should be using it on a save they plan to keep.

Yes, this was something that we requested and mindflux provided. He didn't have to, but we're thankful that he did!

ACCEPTED Flickering Meshes Fix (by nicola89b and gururaj20000)
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
This is what ELFX has been doing for years. Do note that it potentially cause issues. ELFX author had to make a patch for BDS (v2) for the Windhelm bridge due to this technique being used. It was causing a CTD when the shader was applied. However, bravo for it being a standalone mod. I've thought about adding ELFX into the Guide just use their meshes.- 64 replies

FEEDBACK v1.0.0 - Feedback & Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to z929669's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
Thanks for the info. Do note that you can "track" mods on Nexus and they will tell you when they've updated. Users can always install updates to mods between releases of the Guide. -
My guess is they are/were for Custom Pines03 (which would have a greener bark texture). Whether or not that pine is will in the mod, I can't remember. The mod never really touched Pine03 (small, player-height tree) when I got a hold of it and I think I removed the remaining from all options. I'm not sure if I did that for the Custom/Greener options, though, or just the main mod. SFO Snowy Trees will have a snowy pine03 version.

Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition Announced
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
No, there isn't likely to be much bug fixing. There was some minimal stuff done to SE, but nothing major for fixes. The new edition sounds like it's simply going to be SE+CC content. All they're saying is a free upgrade to an "enhanced vision" without saying what that is. I'm not expecting anything really worth upgrading for. Also what some haven't realized yet is the "500+" is not 500+ mods. It's 500+ of individual content. So one mod may cover a multitude of that "500+" . -
Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition Announced
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
Yes, it all depends on what those 500+ CC mods are. If it's just enemies, clothing, items, weapons, etc., then there shouldn't be any issue with only having a single Guide. If, however, they toss in new locations, buildings, things that have wide-reaching affects, then that is going to be an issue. So now we're going to have to support a basic Survival Mode in mods and Guides. That has only been an issue with mods that interact with weather conditions, in my experience. -
Skyrim 10th Anniversary Edition Announced
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
The update is just a few free things. They're saying "Enhanced Edition", like all the other Game Pass stuff, but what is "enhanced"? All the other game's "enhanced" mentionings have meant better graphics and visual effects. They're only mentioning content here. Furthermore, you're still going to have to purchase the Anniversary Edition (SE owners are supposed to get a reduced price). It seems they're just dumping all their CC stuff into it. ...I wonder what they means for the future of the CC? -
ACCEPTED Fixed Mesh Lighting (by Catnyss)
TechAngel85 replied to DoubleYou's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Just guessing because I haven't looked, but my thought is this is probably just checking the "receives shadows" flag on the meshes. Would need to look. If so, making any patches should be super easy.- 32 replies

DROPPED Obsidian Mountain Fogs (by DrMegaloblast)
TechAngel85 replied to wojsku's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Turns out it's the ENB settings and they are supposed controlled by VolumetricFog settings. These parameters are going to need to be adjusted per weather and for time of day. I already tried altering the mesh, but it was a quick look and didn't work. Since these are all hand-placed, we could set the Emission for each to that of the weather, which should make them change tint with time of day and weather settings. That is getting into "mod" territory.- 26 replies

ACCEPTED Bring Out Your Dead (by Arthmoor)
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Yeah, I was thinking it should be as simple as allowing Guests to download in the software. They may not be willing to go that route, though. I'm mixed with whether or not they should be masters. Don't you also have to have an account at Nexus to download? If the agreement goes that such mods shouldn't be masters, that is going to cause a big issue with patching so we might just want to revaluate such mods. Most of Arthmoor's mods are not necessary for the Guides. For the most part, they just gameplay addons and quality of life stuff. EDIT: I'll message Arthmoor.- 13 replies

@DoubleYou I only noted three drops (0:39, 3:15, 5:09). The only thing I could discern was you're not having issues from grass crossing/loading cells. You're running through cells fine. 0:39 isn't even discernible unless you're watching the counter. There is no hitch in the video. There isn't enough onscreen to see anything at 3:15, however, I noted at 5:09 the background pops into focus directly before the drop. The only thing all have in common is there is some sort of AI running around you while you're in these spots (combat event at Whiterun with giant, rabbits/deer running and wolves attacking). You might turn off the AI to see if this stuff still happens (TAI & TCAI). EDIT I did your run on my system and it actually drops in the exact some places.

Almost finishing S.T.E.P. but...
TechAngel85 replied to Jarda's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
You can gain some performance back simple by turning down the quality settings in the enbseries.ini. You can just do a search on the file for "quality". 0 being High and 2 being Low. Only if the weather mod is a master of DynDOLOD, then you'll need to redo that. Yes, DynDOLOD will have a performance hit of around 10FPS for most users. As for the cap, enblocal.ini also has that stuff so check there too. -
Picture? Load order?

I've ran into this with a few higher level destruction spells. Just remember it's doing the same thing to the NPCs. No more getting blasted by high level spells when you accidentally enter the wrong around too early from exploring!

TechAngel85 replied to Jarda's topic in General Skyrim SE Discussion & Support
that is very odd. Not many first left for me with this game, but you managed one! How?...I've no clue. There are a lot of things wrong in those images. Yeah, as Greg mentioned, the v2.0 Guide is still very much in development. No one should be using it. -

DROPPED Obsidian Mountain Fogs (by DrMegaloblast)
