I have no idea, to be honest. I haven't addressed this game and guide in a long time. -

Interesting that he's still updating that mod after all this time. -
Awesome! Thanks for the update!

Issue With Apps Launched from Within MO2
TechAngel85 replied to DsevenO's question in Mod Organizer Support
Is MO2 installed outside the game folder? If it's not, it should no longer be installed within the game folder. Install it in Common or any other location outside of UAC control. -
Heavy stuttering combined with FPS drop
TechAngel85 replied to Badger21's question in General Skyrim SE Support
You have the SE version of ENBSeries installed. Unless this issue is for Skyrim SE, you'll need to download and install the Skyrim LE version: https://enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0319.htm -
Welcome! Glad you decided to get more involved in our community.

bug STEP v2.10.0 Official Bug Reports

No, it contains what it contains. We simply have never provided suggestions for those mods. Set them up however you wish. -
Bash Tagger, Bashed Patch and SSE
TechAngel85 replied to L1Qu1D1's question in Other Utilities Support
LOOT will be adding necessary tags reported by users. There are a few cases where some mods could use extra tags (like Book Covers Skyrim), but LOOT should handle most of this. -
Request: Add the following as a configurable option for Skyrim SE. As far as I can tell, this controls the "light flare" on the fires, flame spells, fire atronachs, candles, etc. Users should have the options of turning this effect on and off, imo, via the interface. Currently you have to go into the file to change it after running BethINI. [Display] bIBLFEnable=(0,1)

CTD after exiting Cell in Live another Life
TechAngel85 replied to Scavver's question in General Skyrim LE Support
All you need is provided in that error message. Just go into xEdit and look at which mods are providing those IDs. Disable them before running DynDOLOD, if necessary. Report this to Sheson, if the issue persists. -
bug STEP v2.10.0 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
There's actually a script you can run to help you do this. Instructions are not provided because doing that is beyond the scope of STEP. However, just google it. You'll find your answer with a bit of searching. -
non-issue Linkjacking / Redirect to Phishing Site occuring
TechAngel85 replied to drudkh's question in Forum Support
I re-cached the templates again and will try to do so once a week until we release the dev work. @SleepsInSun The main issue here is the license we have for the current version of the forum software is not owned by STEP. It's owned by the old server admin, which went MIA on us. This means we don't have access to update the current forums to fix the vulnerability...so it's only a matter of time before we're infected again. We have taken steps to ensure losing staff never puts us in this situation again. As Mator mentioned, the only option we truly have at this point is to push through the development of our site redesign, which comes with fully updated software across the board. The only other option is to completely shut down the forums, which is no option at all. -
That's where I'll be putting mine, as well. The only thing I'm aware of it causing issues with is Merge Plugins by Mator. Other than that, I've experienced no issues with it in AppData.
-
Each time you run MO2, it will load the last instance you were working with. To install it as portable, you'll need to extract the MO2 files to the location desired, run the exe from that location, click the "new game selection" button on the menu (the first button), and choose "portable". This will run this MO2 install as a portable installation and no longer use % AppData%.
-
I'll be updating my instructions soon to change this. There is a bug (unknown to me at the time I wrote the guide) for some users when installing MO2 into the game folders. Seems most are choosing the "common" folder within Steam, but you can really install it anywhere you want.

bug STEP v2.10.0 Official Bug Reports
TechAngel85 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
I'll have to look into it. Perhaps the mod updated. You'll have to remove Vivid Clouds and Fogs from the STEP Patch. It really never should have been added to the patch and will be removed from it for STEP 3.0. Wait...if you're installing for STEP:Extended then you don't need to select any options. Just click "Next", select nothing else, and install the mod. -
Okay, Z is aware of the issue and will attempt to reset the server remotely, as soon as he can. If not, it will be taken care of this evening.

It when down sometime late last night. I have a message out to Z on Discord. I'll send him a text message if he doesn't respond within a few more hours. The server is going to be purchased, however, we're holding off until we're closer to live testing our development work. This is so that we're not paying for two servers, unnecessarily, for several months. Plus, we can't move the current setup to the new server until the dev work is complete because we don't own the current version of the forum software. We just purchased the latest version for development, though. Until then, I'm hoping for no more than a 24hr downtime before the wiki is reset. Not days like it used to be. Stay with us ladies and gents. It'll only be a few more months before you'll see some massive changes (for the better)!

It's down. I have a message out to Z. Just waiting for him to be able to get to it.

I've made another pass over this guide and added some relevant information to the wiki section. Other sections where just polished a bit more in terms of language, formatting, and provided information.

GUIDE Skyrim Perfectly Modded
TechAngel85 replied to hardtroll's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Per our Citizenship Guide, I have removed the links in the posts above. This post will service as a verbal warning. Please refrain from posting links "leading to individual mods or mod compilations, which allow the sharing of mod assets outside of the author's original hosted medium, without the expressed consent of all authors works involved". In this case, it's very clear the author of this mod compilation did not seek out permission from authors before providing the mod assets for download. This violates the rights of mod authors, which STEP has no tolerance for.
