  1. Our current STEP Guide (v2.10.0) is very dated. We're currently working on building a new platform and website for STEP. I already have this corrected for the next release of the Guide (v3.0) on the new website. What I have done for the current Guide is: copied information from the v3.0 Guide and placed it on the current Guide to bring the cleaning section up-to-date: https://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.10.0#2.B._Cleaning_Vanilla_Master_Filesedited the DLCs mod pages to remove the cleaning procedures from them.updated the xEdit mod page for creating a new executable for Quick Clean: https://wiki.step-project.com/TES5Editupdated the cleaning section of the xEdit Guide: https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:XEdit#Cleaning_plugins_with_xEditHopefully that helps with regards to the STEP Guide. The rest of the guides on the wiki are not officially associated with STEP. They are the guides that various users have put together. I will try to reach out to their authors and point them to this topic. Also, I can be reached on Discord for some anything urgent, as well. Same username.
  2. I see the message on your account, but there isn't a reason for it that I can see. You have no restrictions in any of the CPs that I seen. Does the count go down?
  3. You can try to delete the default INIs, then launch the game from Steam and close it at the main menu. Then delete the INIs from your MO profile. Finally, launch MO. That should rebuild everything back to defaults. Final recommendation is to close MO, and run BethINI on your MO profile before playing.
  4. You can do that using DDSopt.
  5. Yes, as long as all required files active cross all profiles.
  6. Just skip it or replace it.
  7. Well, I'll left you know if I get it to freeze again. Magical fairies visited and sprinkled their fairy dust because now it's working like a charm with all settings... Nothing changed in the setup, the computer hasn't been restarted since, and all the same programs are still running...
  8. I don't think there are any plugins changing that worldspace. It's a very small worldspace, but I have to check to be positive. I'd have to test it again but I want to say it does hang on the next one when you uncheck that world. I don't understand what changing billboards would do because I can run Tree LOD all day with no problem unless I have that one specific combination of settings checked. So changing billboards doesn't make sense to me. But I can try I it if you insist. I can test the alpha version of MO, but I will not go as far as testing outside of MO because that would mean moving all my mods into my data folder...I have nearly 300 mods in this setup. That would take days on my schedule....
  9. The follow list is a series of runs and the results. In each run the Advanced menu was used, all worlds were selected, and Medium was chosen: DynDOLOD = works.Static LOD = works.Texture Atlas = works.Tree LOD = works. All the individual settings work fine on their own. DynDOLOD + Candles = works. DynDOLOD + Candles + Glow = works.Tree LOD + Texture Atlas = works.Tree LOD + Texture Atlas + Static LOD = freeze (froze on generating Tree LOD for DLC01FalmerValley, didn't notice any issues while watching the log)Tree LOD + Texture Atlas + Static LOD (2nd run to re-test freeze) = workedAll the above combinations worked. I did get a freeze once, but a 2nd run with the same settings worked fine so I chopped this up to a fluke. Tree LOD + Texture Atlas + Static LOD + DynDOLOD = freezeTree LOD + Texture Atlas + Static LOD + DynDOLOD (using High instead of Medium) = works. This particular combination results in a freeze at the start of generating Tree LOD for SkuldafnWorld every time. The way it just halts here seems like a memory issue, as if it just runs out of memory to use. However, I have plenty of hard drive space and about 10GBs of RAM is can eat up so that can't be it. Windows never reports it as hung either. It just like it just sits there halted or stuck in a loop that isn't outputting any messages. I also checked the bug reports file and nothing is being written there either. During the freeze, Resource Monitor sees it's not using any of the CPU (0%) and about 1.5GBs of memory (unchanging so it's not doing anything).
  10. Anytime I ran things as a batch this happened. When ran individually, it was fine. I changed some tree mods and need to run again, so I will do some more testing today to see if I can narrow it down to a specific set of options. So far I've only tried running on Medium and High. High had no issues running as a full batch. Medium however, just seems like it's hanging in a process because it just sits there. I've left it for an hour with the time just running in the title bar without it doing anything at all. The hard part is, when this happens I have to force close DynDOLOD via Task Manager, thus, it's not writing to the logs....well, I didn't think to see if it's writing to the bug report log or not (I'll check that). But there has been no information to go off of to figure this out other than running the program over and over again.
  11. This is true. Just thought you'd like to know the process and logs since this seemed to only happen after several update runs to DynDOLOD.
  12. This seemed to only happen only during updating an existing DynDOLOD patch and didn't matter where the master was (I did try moving it up and down in the list). Consequently, I discovered the game would crash when using a DynDOLOD plugin that also caused the access error. I did try removing the Bashed Patch, but it didn't work as expected. My Bashed Patch is only used to manage leveled lists. It's not doing anything else. To me or just seems like a bad update as removing the master and plugin and running fresh would bypass the error.
  13. I keep getting a repeat access violation. Restarting MO2 isn't helping. Here are the logs: https://mega.nz/#!J5l2FIyJ!PD_NA_OXTJb2OED3q9dqVrtlUZPRrKW1vQY_XmeVrrM I have also been running into an issue where DynDOLOD stops and hangs after so long when generating trees. It stops on "SkuldafnWorld". I found another thread discussing this, so I've posted there.
  14. I'm having the same issue. DynDOLOD stops generating on SkuldafnWorld and freezes up. I have to force it closed. I believe I have generate the trees individually for each worldspace and put it all together myself, but when ran in a batch, DynDOLOD freezes up every time. EDIT: Can confirm the High setting has no issues.
  15. The short answer is, yes, they can. Packages just tell what the NPC to do. If you have a simple, general package that says "sandbox here", then you can assign that package to many NPCs. More complex packages (usually within quests and such) typically aren't shared though.
  16. Unless there is a specific recommendation, it's user's choice. I don't remember if this one has a recommendation. (Not at home)
  17. Have you tried using BethINI? I don't have any issues with its preset shadow settings.
  18. There should be anything special you have to do. The only concern some users have is when SKSE and SKSE mods aren't updated to the newest game version. Currently, I believe they all are so if you're allowing your game to update, just be sure to check those mods for updates too. You can do this easily in MO by right-clicking any mod, go to "All mods", and click "Check all for update". This will filter your mods to the mods showing incorrect version numbers compared to Nexus. Sometimes it's for an update, other times mods will show up on the list due to wrong version number in MO or due to the author's own versioning scheme. You'll just have to check them all and update where needed.
  19. What game are you trying to use MO2 with and what mod are you trying to install that isn't functioning properly?
  20. Does is say that it's cleaned anything on the messages tab when cleaning the mod?
  21. I let this mod overwrite SRO.
  22. False positive. MO2 is totally safe.
  23. Currently, all the Guides I've ran across for Skyrim LE are a bit dated. Everyone seems to be moving to Skyrim SE.
  24. Do you want to create an ESL file (modName.esl) or flag an ESP file as an ESL?
  25. A post like this would normally get you a warning. I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you're just frustrated. Please be kind when posting.
