  1. Interesting. I probably won't risk adding it to my existing game, but I'll probably give it a go for my new playthrough. Awaiting for STEP to hit 2.3.0 and the Packs compatibility with 2.3.0 for this though :)
  2. Try hitting Shift+F12 to turn the ENB off and see how much of a performance gain you get. You'll get an idea if it's purely ENB's fault or something else.
  3. So is it safe to install this mod mid-playthrough? If so, would I need to do a cell reset prior to the installation?
  4. Let's move ETAC conversation to the relevant thread :)
  5. I run a mod set up with about 400 mods - and that translates to about 225 plugins at the moment (I have more mods in testing currently, mainly for Dragonborn addon). My game is pretty stable. I do get an occasional CTD, but I don't think one can avoid crashes with a silly number of complex scripts running in game. Sometimes I won't crash for hours - I've had 5-6 hours long sessions without a single CTD or any glitch. Must say that the crashes are very rare and I am happy with what I have. Now, for the best part. It took me about a YEAR to get my game to this state. I've started about 4 or 5 new games, and then ditched them after few levels, as I found errors and conflicts in my modlist as my character levelled. Each time I was able to get my character to a higher level until the game became unplayable. At this moment my character is level 30-something and it is highest level I achieved with this complex build. As said, my game is reasonably stable and hopefully it will remain that way (I want to finally experience end-game content!). Also, over the course of this 1 year a couple solutions were developed that helped with stability (Sheson's patch as well as better understanding of how ENBoost works). But the main problem was the amount of conflicts. So yeah, 230 mods (or plugins, if that is what you meant) is perfectly fine, but it requires A LOT of work to grant compatibility (custom patches, merged ESPs) and a conscious sacrifice of the mods that just won't play nicely with conjunction with all the other mods you have installed (even though they may be perfectly fine and stable in a less complex mod set up).
  6. My thoughts exactly :)
  7. An excellent and insightful review, thanks for this! Yes, yes they do indeed! Myself included :)
  8. Personally I have never came across this bug in my game. I've had a look at this mod few months ago and it changes a lot of other stuff apart from the flora respawn... Tread carefully. ::EDIT::Then again, I've never specifically tested if this bug is present in my game either. But I've never noticed it... If it is happening, it was never troubling enough for me to notice it. Furthermore With Harvest Overhaul (and I only use the lowest settings of it!) I'm always gathering enough ingredients to craft plenty of potions. IMHO - this fix is not needed.
  9. Please refer to this thread instead. There are TONS of useful info there and, frankly, the debate is still ongoing. The reason I'm asking to move over to the other thread is to keep all the info in one place. I'll lock this thread for that very reason. Thanks for your understanding.
  10. Ditto! But yeah, thanks!
  11. Sounds great. I think I will use your pack for my mage or thief playthrough then :)
  12. [OT] Why thank you! (I'm Elenear :) ). Yeah, the screens from V5 will be coming soon! [/OT]
  13. This pack looks extremely interesting! How far from completion are you guys? Also, which other packs from STEP do you plan compatibility with?
  14. Sounds good! Going to check it out I think.
  15. Is the exterior changed at all? Is the new floor an additional floor, or does it utilise the existing space? Sorry, I can't tell very well from the screens. If it's adds a completely new floor, the exterior should reflect that IMO.
  16. I would also add this website to the Find It list: https://www.skyrimsearch.com/about.php It's a godsend when it comes to find ID of pretty much anything in the game (incl. DLCs)!
  17. Shall we consider Quality Snow for testing for 2.2.9 inclusion? I've done some initial compares and it looks better than what we use now, however more testing would be required, as it overwrites a few different mods. See this thread for more details, and here's the mod thread.
  18. Some comparisons can be found here. Shall we possibly consider this for testing?
  19. Discussion topic: Skygazer Moons by fadingsignal Wiki Link Fresh upload. New textures for each of the moons. Available in 1K, 2K and 4K resolutions. Look good on the screens, but I still need to see how they actually look and feel in game.
  20. I can understand your frustration, as exactly the same thing happened me, and more than once. I mean it, I was just as furious. However, please respect our community rules and don't swear in your posts. Even if you'll censure it with asterisks, it's still a swearword. Please treat this as a verbal warning. Useful tip: you can backup and then restore both your load order (right hand pane) and install order (left hand pane) by using one of the little icons above both lists. @staff: perhaps we should add this information at the very beginning of the guide.
  21. I have now deleted the saves :/
  22. It was normal one. I didn't even test the dark one, seeing how good normal one blended in. Couldn't decide on Alternative Snow, so I tested both.
  23. After having another look I think I prefer Quality Snow as well, even to what's in STEP. I think I'll use that for my current mod set up. If we were to include that in STEP, it would need more in depth testing, as it overwrites a few different mods.
  24. Hi guys. I need BUM 6.7.1. installer if anyone has it downloaded please. I upgraded BOSS to 2.3 and BUM to 6.7.2 and it all stopped working :(
