  1. Hm... Not convinced. It looks too much Sci-Fi rather than fantasy.
  2. Hey there Osmodius, glad you have joined our community! :) (Elenear here from Nexus) As soon as you contact Z on Nexus (to confirm ID, standard procedure), you'll get the Mod Author badge, and in effect grant the access to hidden collab section of the forums - maybe a good idea to ask around there! Anyway, enjoy your stay and have fun, see you around.
  3. I do stuff like that manually :)
  4. Hm... Now when I think of it - yeah, it was roughly the same time. Saying that though, BSOD happened a few times recently as well - but well before the problem described in this thread emerged. I think I'll be upgrading to Windows 8.1 soon, so I may just leave it and do some tests after a fresh OS install...
  5. Putting quoted stuff in spoiler tags not to clutter the thread. 1. I do that on regular basis, and I don't store any data/passwords in my browser. I use LastPass as a password/forms manager. 2. Tried that, didn't help :) 3. I did a full system scan with an antivirus and Malware Bytes not so long ago. I may actually do that again just to be on a safe side. Boot sector virus, didn't think of that. Argh, had one of those years ago and it was PITA to get rid of... Thanks for the suggestion. Hypervisor viruses - never heard of those. Some homework to do :) Memory test is something I was putting off for a loooong time now, couldn't be bothered to do that. It may be the time to actually do it... I have lots of running services, but nothing new. I've always had them all running and never experienced any problems. Did not do any software updates or anything like that recently. Apart from graphic card drivers (the new nVidia ones, can't remember the version now...). I actually installed Process Explorer couple of days ago, but didn't have time to check it out properly, hence I was still using Task Manager yesterday. Thanks for all the help and suggestions guys, I'll keep investigating.
  6. See above in orange. It only started happening recently. I did not install any mods that could possibly affect it (Crossbow Reload is the only one I installed), but I got new version of ENB (preset files only, did not actually updated ENB itself). I've had all the programs listed in the OP running in the background + MO + usually Chrome with quite a few tabs opened. Now I have to kill all the background stuff and even close MO, and I still get the error message after a while. I noticed that my loading times increased as well. They were pretty long already (I learned to live with it) but now they're ridiculously long. Very strange, I've got no idea what's going on.
  7. My system specs: More info about my RAM: Now, my problem is that recently I started getting this error message when playing Skyrim, that my computer ran out of memory and I should save my data and close the program (Skyrim). It never happend to me before. I checked my memory usage and I'm getting 0 available RAM. When I start my operating system, Cached memory gets filled right away and I have around 300 MB of free RAM! I don't know much about this stuff, so if anyone can suggest any troubleshooting or can offer any advice I'll be most grateful. Here's the screen taken about 15 mins after I logged in to Windows. No programs were run apart from Chrome to open the forums, FastStone Capture to make the screenshot and Speccy to get the specs. I have Skype, Steam, uTorrent, Dropbox and Copy running in the background in addition to a few standard Windows system tasks. TIA
  8. Hm... Looking closer at the screens, I am not even sure if it IS a retexture... It just looks like the author tones the colours down a bit and that's it...
  9. I think you misunderstood. The OP is not very clear, so you're excused :D I think Halde installed everything via MO, hence they haven't got any mods in SkyrimData folder (correct?). To answer the question - when you will be reinstalling the textures MO will ask you if you want to Overwrite, Merge or Rename. Overwrite will do just that. Merge will overwrite any files with the same filename and add any new files (in this particular case it will be 100% overwrite, as there won't be any new files) and Rename will create a new mod in left hand pane with the new name. The beauty of MO is that you don't have to worry about overwriting mods, as each mod is stored in a separate folder, and you can modify the installation order in the left hand pane.
  10. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54546/? Not much to say... Just a new retexture. Looks nice in screens, would need to compare to what we currently have in STEP (do we at all?).
  11. A user contacted me via Steam recently with the same problem. Couple more reported it well.I never experienced it personally though.
  12. I think this is either due to the image space (lighting mods) or ENB or the mixture of both and cannot be fixed. I get very similar thing when I stand in Dragonsreach by the entrance (try going there and just walk from the steps leading from the fire pit towards the door. That's where I get the outline. If the above is the case, Aiyen will be able to explain this better, I am only repeating what he told me few months ago :)
  13. Mixed feelings. For some, STEP wins, for some V1 and for others V2 :) Like phr said, it could use better blending.
  14. It would be awesome if this was implemented for the filetree viewer for individual mods!
  15. Thanks both :) I actually have Photoshop plugin, but wanted something for a quick preview.
  16. https://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/dds_thumbnail_viewer.html This obviously isn't a mod, but a utility to view DDS files as thumbnails. Sadly, I couldn't get it to work on Windows 7 64-bit, but maybe someone more experienced will figure it out...
  17. This made me lol today :D
  18. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54450 Great, simple mod. What it does, it unequips crossbow bolts right after the shot, so that the reloading animation is not kicking in straight away, thus not slowing your character down. Once the attack button is pressed again, the same bolts are equipped again and crossbow gets reloaded. Extremely simple and not immersion breaking actually, as I doubt anyone would shoot crossbow in 3rd person (which would actually show bolts being unequipped). There is another mod that does similar thing, it was recently showcased by Gopher, but it's more complicated, as it adds an invisible container to store bolts in etc... Way to complex! Nice and simple, love this mod!
  19. And it's recognised as that much more than Modular Morrowind Overhaul.
  20. IMHO - purely from STEP Mandate point of view - I don't think so. The extra door is purely for convenience. It's not a bug fix or an improvement. It's not justified by lore or by any logic either (it's the secret base of Thieves Guild - they'd rather have one entrance that would take some effort to be found. A trapdoor in a back alley would be too obvious).
  21. I use it with EFF and both are working fine. If this was another MCM menu, then I'd say it's unnecessary. Yet another menu with just one toggle - not needed IMHO.
  22. I have also been using it for a long time and it works perfectly fine.
  23. Well at least you've ruled out the ENB. If you'll need any further support with this, please create a separate thread in the Support forum, as this doesn't seem to be realted to Skylight ENB after all :) Hope you'll find your culprit!
  24. It becomes a hobby in due course :)
