As I understand it, and experience has shown, CJ2311 is correct. Using vanilla armors with CNHF 2.5 should give you a CNHF 2.5 head on vanilla shoulders, which in my opinion defeats the purpose. You will only see the "heroic form" in armor converted for CNHF 2.5, or in your underwear (& while Conan manages to look heroic fighting in skivvies I don't think that's what y'all are shooting for here).

The only issue, I believe, with using non-CNHF 2.5 armor & clothing is that it will not display the CNHF 2.5 body rather it will show its own (vanilla, or UNP as applicable to the armor currently worn). My concern is simply that there aren't many CNHF 2.5 armors yet made, so it may be difficult to enjoy this mod as intended. If a comprehensive set of vanilla/dlc armors were available I think CNHF 2.5 would be a definite STEP candidate, but not so much without.

I've had the dragon corpse stalking issue (took a minute to figure it out as the dragon was clipping below ground & only the tail was visible looking like a strange tree waving in the breeze). I guess Dragon Combat Overhaul may exacerbate the issue (I had recently installed it in that new game), regardless I followed the suggestion from the DCO page & marked the corpse for delete via console. It happened again, same solution, and I didn't see a reoccurrence in the next ten slain dragons. Obviously not a fix, or an understanding, but mark for delete console command seemed to solve the issue for me. As for Louis, haven't had the pleasure (?), but I'll keep that in mind. Horsemanship is an untapped game aspect for me, I should remedy that, and get around to seeing Solsteim.

After reviewing the CNHF 2.5 page, I gather that it is compatible with but not intended for UNP armors. Meaning that it will "work" with UNP armor, but will be proportioned as UNP not CNHF. Unfortunately there isn't a comprehensive set of CNHF 2.5 armor replacers.

So I just finished a new install and finalized my mod list, started a new playthrough & promised myself I wouldn't tinker with it & just play the darn game ... and my modding compulsion kicked in. I looked at CNHF and its definitely more realistic & appropriate that what I've got installed. What's the situation with armor compatibility and a "complete solution" regarding a CNHF replacement, any suggestions from current users?

Not sure if it's my install order, or if I"m mismatching my meshes/textures. * not advocating what I'm using, just contributing data for your debate.

Nice work, that sounds really well thought out. I suggest requiring a visit & payment to Dr. Usanagi for upgrades to those two prototype implants. PN has a system in place for upgrading their cyberware, yours seems next level so it seems reasonable to require an expert in the field for modifications to it (by which I mean thousands of caps are a better limiting/balancing factor than some spare electronics or other clutter I have to prospect for). Unfortunately I haven't done much in the way of playtesting FNV, I did figure out my CTDs near Primm were the result of merging Lauren's & Yam's plugins (maybe think twice about merging Pinup Parade with anything). My FNV is seems dialed in, but I got distracted by Skyrim (just sorted my 2014 build & started three new characters to cover all the content bases). Speaking of distracted, Robert's Space Industries (Star Citizen) is doing a live broadcast on Twitch from PAXEast tonight to showcase their alpha release Dog Fighting Module, so I'll get sucked into watching that &/or alpha testing if they open their servers as well. -
Regarding the release of the next playable pre-alpha content, the Dog Fighting Module; "CIG is heading to Boston to show you what we’ve been working on! Chris Roberts’ presentation will be streamed via Twitch starting at 9 PM EST. You can access the stream at that time via the Roberts Space Industries website." That's tonight btw.

Outstanding research Keith. Sounds like the simplest solution may be to just set autodetect=true and assume it all goes to plan. I really appreciate your diligence in chasing down answers to these questions, and then posting them here for the community's benefit (sounds corny, I know).

Briefly off-topic: check out EssArrBee's Fallout New Vegas guide here on STEP forum, it's a giant step forward towards a more stable FNV. Back on topic: I've never had a problem that I can attribute to Skyrim autosaves. I have all the autosave conditions selected & the "in menu" @ "every 10 mins". Is there a known issue with Skyrim autosaves, any discussion or documentation to review?

I have a GTX 670 & 16gb of Ram; getting good results with reserved memory @ 512 and video memory size @ 10,240 (which I believe is the maximum value).

That compatibility seems critically important, IMHO the primary job of the STEP:Core body replacer is to eliminate seams and otherwise improve on vanilla (as Better Males from STEP:Core does), anything beyond that gets into personal taste and is better suited to STEP:Packs. FWIW I'm getting good results, with regard to neck seams and general appearance from the following combination (installed in this order with Wrye/BAIN) - ApachiiSkyHair_v_1_5_Full-10168-1-5-Full (from ApachiiSkyHair's Optional downloads) UNP BASE Main body V1dot2-6709 (NSFW, and you appear to have it already so no link here) UNPB Installer (various options, ditto the above) ApachiiSkyHair_Patch_UNP_CBBE_BodySize_0-10168-1-4 Ethereal Elven Overhaul (DG/DB & freckled texture for UNP) coverwomen look_4-3563-2-0 seamless UNP and Coverwomen Look_4-3563 (from Coverwomen's Optional downloads) Sub Surface Full Body Map BODYsk for Head and Hands - Map is half bright-30050-1-0 This is with Serenity's default enbseries values (subsurface scattering, etc.). Stateside HBO just ran the first 3 seasons in a weekend marathon (twice I think). I won't spam the thread with links, but your favorite search engine is eager to help you watch (mine sure is; Amazon fee/episode, others for free streaming). I've only read the first five books, so be kind, no spoilers.

Well the issue is removed with the absence of ASIS. Not sure of the exact "conflict" (if addition of iron armor is a "conflict"), possibly SSR + ASIS? While I would like to use further trial & error to discover the exact combination that causes this, my load order (see spoiler above) is feeling like a house of cards & I really don't want to tinker with it much more. I'm going to make the three characters I had in mind, run them through the usual Helgen bit, make durable saves after & add SSR/EA patch/ASIS back and go from there. Hopefully this bit of research helps the next to have the issue & maybe they contribute their 2 sepitms worth and we eventually define the perfect mod combo for free iron armor. -

Sounds very interesting, your script work. I thought the PN cyber was upgradable, I have the voice modulator from Doc's house and see a recipe to upgrade it at the workbench. As for increasing the degradation of equipment, I'm a big "built to destroy" guy, so I always take that trait (bonus critical chance, it's all about the criticals). -

I was unable to get the GECK to launch. I do not use MO, but rather Wrye/BAIN. I gave up on using it. I am able to launch the Creation Kit, except when I try to open Interesting NPCs v3.05 (latest). I will try your Monocyte Breeder (downloaded, thanks for that SRB) once I get to New Vegas Clinic (might be a while) and post the results.

I have encountered the same issue, my character has a complete iron armor set on start. The "problem" being I can't rid myself of the iron helmet during character creation (tried console commands but the helmet is still visible in Race Menu / Character Creation despite being "removed"). Apparently this site works differently than the Nexus (or others) in that my thumbnail links to photobucket don't actually link to that site. Anyway, I changed the first thumbnail to a direct link to my Skyrim album, open in a new tab and the first three pics are as described (Serenity with Real/Dramatic Clouds), photobucket allows you to "view original" which is 1920x1080. After the first three cloud pics its Realvision screenshots from my old playthrough, so ignore that (or don't, Star Citizen concept art too)
