  1. I've got the original FOMM from 2010, and it more reliably launches the uHUD installer pop-up (NMM can be very finicky about launching that). Are you referring to the FOMM-Fork version uploaded 2014? To setup MO do I really have to install each individual mod packeage to that application? I can drag and drop every mod in my HDD archive into Wrye, I really don't have the patience to do a one-at-a-time thing for a switch to MO (FNV or Skyrim). Speaking of patience, mine is pretty well spent, I've been trying to play FNV for a month and am still unable. I really expected to have seen a good deal of the wasteland by now, SC's dogfighting alpha is only 2 weeks out now, time flies.
  2. Weird, I took a run at the Flashlight NVSE page & forum, but didn't find anything related to your issue. I have uninstalled/deleted/re-installed my FNV and am now adding mods to hopefully end my "missing master" issue. Is there a consensus re- the merge plugin script for TES5Edit/FNVEdit, is it safe to use as directed? I assume your ADAM merge plugin was created with it, and that merge plugin is safe? I wondering if I should proceed with or avoid creating merged plugins where logical. I'm at 124 plugins now, wouldn't mind trying for double digits (instead of triple). I assume Optimizer Textures &/or the large/UHQ versions of NMC/Bueno are not advised, I'm thinking I may have corrupted my bsa files by optimizing them. In any event I have installed the medium/poco versions per the guide.
  3. So, are you concluding that Advanced Recon (various) requires the Flashlight NVSE plugin to work? That might explain the "missing master" I've been struggling with. I have had the various Advanced Recon mods installed, but not the Flashlight NVSE.
  4. re- Wrye and modified dates, if you right-click the "File" column under the "Mods" tab, is "Lock Times" checked or unchecked? Might could be that is allowing plugin date reset, mine has been checked & I don't believe I have your issue. So, about that flashlight nvse plugin, is that merged into your ADAM patch? It appears checked in my Uinified HUD / NMM install pop-up, which confuses me as I don't have it independently installed.
  5. Odd, I don't have any files overwritten. I have Rifle Animation Fix* installed early with fixes as directed by the guide. I have Weapon Animation Replacers installed later with Poosh, also as directed. I downloaded the original Commando & Professional files from Nexus and moved the Core + Guide recommended Optionals to the top level of the compressed file for BAIN compatibility and installed in the following order; Rifle Animation fix, WAR Professional, WAR Commando, WAAR Quick Patch. I show no conflicting/overwriting files in Wrye's installer tab. * Rifle alignment fix does have conflicts/overwrites with other mods;
  6. This is America, greed is good, right? Anyway, I'm trimming my mod collection now & coming back in line with the guide, more or less.
  7. My original hope was to be able to use both, obviously that was incorrect. I have since removed the breeze body and armors dependent on it. I'll update my load order post (and make a new post indicating I did so) once I have the game working correctly. Seems like body issues may have been the source of my problems, will test that today. Note: I can play without error if I stick to the guide as written, it does seem to be stable. Unfortunately I've never been able to color within the lines, so I can't help but try to push the envelope by cramming more content in.
  8. When making a merged patch I just select the plugins I want to merge, and FNVEdit loads masters with the selected plugins, so you my be on to something there. I check for errors in FNVEdit, but that relies on its error checking, so if I'm doing something that isn;tplanned ofr I'm blissfully ignorant. Thanks for the suggestion, gives me something to chew on at least.
  9. I'm only trying or trying to try really) the GECK angle is to explore a suggestion made regarding patched esp's made with the merge script. I'm baffled by this recurring "missing master" error message, it continues to strike randomly during the game, I can't get out of Doc Mitchell's house without it a crash to desktop caused by it. I take you haven't encountered such an issue, or any difficulty from patches made with FNV & the merge script?
  10. Am I the only one unable to launch the GECK? I get this error message every time I try and launch "The instruction at 0x00455f51 referenced memory at 0x00000000. The memory could not be read." which led me to some information about virtual memory when I asked google, but nothing in the way of actual help. I've installed the GECK to my FNV directory direct from Steam, verified my local files and still immediate crash on launch attempt with the error message above. I am trying to launch the GECK in hopes that opening my merge patches in it and subsequently saving them will help the return of my "missing master issue which occurs randomly when attempting to play FNV. At this point I only desire to play the game out of spite, as I don't want the errors to win.
  11. Perhaps STEP: Neverwinter? Maybe in time, dare I say, STEP: StarCitizen?
  12. I'm so much happier & healthier after my CoT-ectomy. It was great (and quite beautiful) in my previous playthrough with Realvision ENB, but losing it and all the compatibility patches in my switch to Serenity ENB has been a pleasure. Back to topic, I'm curious how this mod would interact with others? Is it going to necessitate patches in the manner of CoT?
  13. Rusey's post 25 March enumerates some non-critical conflicts with SFO, mentions no conflicts found so far with Hearthfire Chimneys and minor issue with No Snow Under the Roof, see Nexus forum posts for more detail.
  14. During my frequent "new" starts as I troubleshot a working extended mod order I would frequently get body texture "weirdness" which was always solved by exiting, toggling archive invalidation off/on in NMM and relaunching the game. I would imagine FCO responds similarly, from the mod page: "turn archive invalidation off then on again ... and also make sure bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles=1 in FalloutPrefs.ini". Edit: ninja'd by SRB.
  15. I wanted the Colt and cutlery to start with, I'll drop those once I add them to my kit. You caught me cheating. I was glad to find that it wasn't my merged patches that were causing the crash at start, I really like how they clean up my mess of plugins (although I went a bit overboard with the Cut Content Compilation merge, kinda threw a bit of everything into that one). I'm still confused by the "white screen" with Enhanced Shaders (and disappointed I didn't get an answer on the mod page), but Diablotherium has a Nevada Skies version and is working fine. I'm updating my Skyrim to STEP 2.2.8 plus my other must have mods, the merge script should prove invaluable for that as well. I'm excited about playing these games after so much time modding/troubleshooting them.
  16. Finally determined my "missing master" mystery was not having the Breeze body replacer for an armor mod. FNV is up and running again, new installed package list; The Merge Plugins Script works just fine with FNVEdit, I have made several, both FNVEdit & Wrye Flash think they pass muster. I am able to launch the game and start a new playthrough with them active, although I haven't had time to gather any data ingame yet. See the spoiler tab above for which mods I was able to merge, keep in mind it's a work in progress. *** Spoiler now with links to the mods not found in the guide for your testing & evaluation convenience ***
  17. Noooooo! As I Star Citizen backer I had high hopes for Oculus Rift as my virtual cockpit. [REDACTED] Facey-spacey stickin their [REDACTED] nose in where it isn't wanted or needed!
  18. If only that were the case my friend, Wrye & FNVEdit think all is well, unfortunately my new game is interrupted by a CTD caused by the "missing master" error popup. I suppose it is possible that something else is erroneously causing the "missing master" message, but I'm not able to determine what that is. I've verified and reinstalled my local content through Steam, I've also tried without optimized texture files, and I've switched from Enhanced Shaders (that was giving me a white screen in Doc Mitchell's during a new playthrough) to Diablotherium ENB. Clearly I've got some weird game engine gremlins here, just can't seem to find what I did to summon them.
  19. For what's its worth, I have been using the 15.5 version of Wrye Flash, no problems. To optimize textures I downloaded Optimizer Textures from the Nexus, seems straightforward and easy to use (I didn't use the greyed out resize option, I did use the greyed out reduce files larger than 2048 option, and I selected my various BSA files). What I am currently having difficulty with is a missing master file after merging various plugins. I can't seem to track it down, loading into FNVEdit isn't finding the error, unchecking the various merges plugins isn't resolving the issue either, so I'm trying to sus out the dependant plugin in my order that must be placed after the file that requires it?
  20. Regarding Enhanced Shaders ENB, after a recent reinstall I'm trying to start a new game, but I am running into an all white screen where I should be looking at Doc Mitchell's exam room (immediately after the opening video sequence). Does this sound at all familiar? I'm trying to troubleshoot the issue but I've exhausted the info from the mod page, read me & my personal enb experience. I'll use Diablotherium ENB until I come up with a solution for Enhanced Shaders (perhaps its Nevada Skies version will solve my issue).
  21. Ice Wraith's are attracted to standing stones and other Nordic ruins, kill them for their Ice Wraith Essence which can be used as a frost resist potion. The more you know!
  22. The Vilja Companion mod page on the Nexus might be a good working example of what you describe, and its an impressive mod/collection of mods (with history reaching back through previous TES titles IIRC). I definitely agree that Wrye Musings (original or paraphrased) should be required reading for all mod creators & end users. I also agree that I would like a more "cathedral" oriented Nexus (although the current rules are of the "parlor" variety, not sure if that's the founders intent or just how things worked out). Kudos to all involved if you can open a dialog between Dark One and STEP.
  23. Visit the Atronach Stone for a bonus vs. magic *, seek out a daedric artifact that grants resistance to magic, and what the other posters said. Remember, enemies can't cast spells while impaled, so attack the mage first and continue through the order of battle from there. * edit: stack with the ward spell and ward absorb perk and you have anti-magic riot gear effect (ethereal lexan shield), conjure a bound sword for that cool jedi style.
  24. From the mods description page, "meshes included in this replacer are curtesy of MadCat221 from True Circlet Gems", re- compatibility (quoting the mod author) "Gemling Queen Jewelry only affects the circlet gemstones, so it's fully compatible with mods that replace the metal textures, such as Better Circlets HQ and AEterna Circlets. My mod does not overwrite the vanilla gemstone texture (circletstones.dds), instead I have the meshes point to my custom textures. So you can still use texture replacers for the onyx and moonstone gems, but sapphire, emerald and ruby will not be affected. You can mix and match to your heart's content!" Take a look at the Gemling Queen Jewelry page for a graphic depiction. Looks like another great fit for STEP.
  25. Guide Suggestion; Extenders - 4gb FNV Updated Add line: For ENB wrapper version users, once the loader has created the "exes" sub-directory, simply copy your d3d9.dll file into the "exes" and launch FNV using the 4gb loader application (no command line arguments need be added unless specific loading issues occur). I found the sticky in the mods description a bit intimidating, all the command line argument information was overwhelming and ultimately unnecessary for me (although others might require it in specific instances for troubleshooting). BTW Love the addition of themed graphics and quotes to the aptly titled guide, well played sir. note the stylish jacket with the guide's name inked on it, and Drag's description reads: "So download and enjoy if you want, or use it as a modder's resource."
