  1. I'm all for one or two textures. Many mods only cover one or two textures. Why throw out an entire texture overhaul because overall you don't like it?
  2. I really like some of the SeriousHD textures, now that they've been added to the mix. AMB is mostly the best, then SeriousHD, and even some of the HRDLC textures look pretty good.
  3. It's a tossup for me. Tel Mithryn Big Root: Telvanni Reborn The SRTO one looks a like its slightly less resolution. Tel Mithryn Wood Root: Telvanni Reborn The SRTO one looks like it has a seam. Tel Mithryn Door: Telvanni Reborn I like the idea of a weather door, but the SRTO one looks like too low resolution. Tel Mithryn Building Top: SRTO The Telvanni one is just bland. Tel Mithryn Interior Wall: SRTO The Telvanni one looks like it has a seam. Tel Mithryn Interior Wall 2: SRTO The Telvanni one looks rather confused. Tel Mithryn Indoor Roots: Telvanni Reborn Telvanni just looks like it is in a much higher resolution than the others. Tel Mithryn Floor: Telvanni Reborn The SRTO one looks too washed out. Tel Mithryn Stairs: SRTO Those SRTO stairs just blow the rest out of the water.
  4. Could you test the SeriousHD textures as well? In STEP, they include: dlc2basalttop.dds dlc2crater1.dds dlc2road01ash01.dds volcanic_ash_01.dds volcanic_ash_01_n.dds volcanic_ash_03.dds volcanic_ash_03_n.dds volcanic_ash_04.dds volcanic_ash_04_n.dds volcanic_ash_05.dds volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01.dds volcanic_ash_darkcliff_01_n.dds volcanic_ash_rocks_01_d.dds volcanic_ash_rocks_01_n.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_01.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_02.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_02_n.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_03.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_03_n.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_04.dds volcanic_ash_tundra_04_n.dds
  5. Doesn't seem to do anything on my system, but then, I only have 4gb of ram.
  6. Semitransparent Stalhrim Deposits by chadsketch https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/50043 Makes the deposits of stalhrim ore just slightly transparent by modifying the meshes and adding a basic retexture. You can see a draugr body beneath the one deposit when you get close. From the screens, this looks like a promising improvement, and I don't think this texture has been touched before.
  7. Unfortunately, it appears that since the Creation Kit's script compiler is a 64bit application, it is currently not possible to compile the scripts in Mod Organizer. I guess you'll have to copy the scripts to the data directory temporarily to compile.
  8. Oh. I thought you said you wanted to move your Skyrim install. My bad. Yes, since Mod Organizer is practically a portable program, you can move it by simply moving the entire folder with relative ease. Personally, I just keep UAC off.
  9. You'll want to change the registry key probably. For Skyrim, I believe there is only one, under HKLM/Software/Bethesda Softwarks/Skyrim (additional WOW6432Node on 64bit systems).
  10. Your priority order for your mods is messed up. Please move the Unofficial Patches in the following priority order: Unofficial Skyrim Patch Unofficial Dawnguard Patch Unofficial Hearthfire Patch Unofficial Dragonborn Patch You may have other problems in your mods if you made that mistake. You have a lot of popular mods, but I'm not sure how all of them mix together.
  11. Mod Organizer doesn't currently support the "Oops, our database is struggling!" message sent by the Nexus servers. Therefore, Mod Organizer thinks it is downloading the file, when it actually is downloading that message constantly until the file is filled. It is currently, therefore, better to download the large mods manually. Hopefully Tannin will be able to add this new warning so it doesn't do this.
  12. I'm not sure about this really, as I've never had this situation. A mod author shouldn't do things like that, but some mod authors can do strange things. This issue on the bug tracker seems to say this is a problem, albeit I have not tested: https://issue.tannin.eu/tbg/modorganizer/issues/507
  13. Personally, I thought version 2.0 was the best, so that is what I use. Version 3.0 I didn't like as much.
  14. It looks like somehow someone went and replace all his comments with the letter a. They weren't all like that before.
  15. I personally still use this mod. I've looked at the images provided, and I still can't see why they say the mountain UVs look a mess. They look fine to me. I guess I'm not as well attuned as to what a mess looks like, but I simply cannot see the problem.
  16. You have to wait a bit for the MCM menus to come up. That is a standard procedure with SkyUI. SkyUI only checks every once in a while for newly installed MCM mods so that it doesn't spam the scripting engine. As for your not being able to start a new game, you must be doing something wrong. Please check out the Mod Organizer Guide wiki in my signature and follow the startup tutorial given within Mod Organizer.
  17. Shouldn't be a problem with saves. It's only textures. Textures merely turn pink when they are not found. You can technically play Skyrim without any textures, although it would definitely not be playable. It's things like scripts, esps, and esms that can mess up your save.
  18. If the BSAs are extracted, you simply remove the dummy esp and you are good. No need to go back to BSA form. At any rate, to reset the decision to always extract BSAs, click the wrench icon to go to settings, and click "Reset Dialogs."
  19. Just make sure you have all texture files so you don't have a pretty pink game. Why do you want to get rid of the Skyrim - Textures.bsa? Are you that low on space? Edit: read op You want the textures to only take up 8GB? Well, the only way I know to do that is to make the optimized textures into a BSA instead of loose files.
  20. As mentioned by others, this is normally the result of a corrupt download.
  21. Originally LoRd KoRn collaborated with MichaelRW for the patches, but because of the sheer amount of them, it became easier to simply set up a patch page, to which they both agreed. The CoT patch on the main page is an old patch that does NOT work with the newer version (open it up in TES5Edit to see what I mean). LoRd KoRn has simply never placed it in old files, or he doesn't realize that the patch is outdated. Use the CoT patch by MichaelRW, as he knows what he is doing.
  22. Don't remove the BSAs from the skyrim.ini. Loose files overwrite files inside BSAs every time.
  23. Well, when it comes to Sounds of Skyrim, my experience went like this: 1. Installed Sounds of Skyrim 2. Ran game and set up the sounds (that took a lot of time - needs and MCM menu!) 3. Ran into Dragonsreach 4. I began to hear Dwemer machine noises 5. I immediately uninstalled So maybe I didn't really give Sounds of Skyrim a real chance, but it needs an awful lot of patching to resolve conflicts with my other mods, and I didn't really like dwemer machine noises randomly playing where there were no dwemer. It seemed more work than it was worth. Maybe I'll give it a try another time.
  24. I believe Tannin said this issue would be fixed in 1.0.13
  25. Well, I tried, and unfortunately, that one is too hard for me to figure out. I generally don't try to use mods that are messed up like this.
