redirishlord Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 [General]ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 Will allow SKSE to clear broken scripts, not a perfect solution but helpful. [Memory]DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 The 768 figure is specific to SKSE 1.7.x (x= 0, 1 or whatever the most current version is ). The older SKSE 1.6.x with a compiled loader would use the 512 value, although both amount to the same thing. If possible use the SKSE 1.7.x instead as it is more current and offers additional (non-memory) features that newer mods may require. Keep in mind, I'm just an end-user like yourself, the current STEP Guide (2.2.9 at this time) is your best source of info (and covers SKSE install).
z929669 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 @Staff & contributorsThis patch is bundled within SKSE, and we are not recommending any alternative implementation, correct?
phazer11 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 The SKSE version seems to work just fine for me I'd say not add another recommendation since that'd just be one more thing to download and keep up with unless the SKSE version is genuinely broken in some way.
TechAngel85 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 Bundled with SKSE. SKSE version works perfectly. No reason to use anything else.
z929669 Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 OK, then I am going to unpin this thread ... does it make sense to close as well, or are people still discussing sheson's patch?
hishutup Posted October 27, 2014 Posted October 27, 2014 I would leave it open... I consider the one in SKSE 1.7.X to be memory patch 3.0, others may have a different opinion.
z929669 Posted October 28, 2014 Posted October 28, 2014 Unless there is an existing "Skyrim Memory Patch" that exists and remains in independent development, then we should close this. I am just trying to figure that out ... SKSE can house any further discussion on this piece if there is no "Skyrim Memory Patch" any longer
