z929669 Posted September 18, 2022 Posted September 18, 2022 Discussion topic: Step FalloutNV Guide (curated by Majorman) Changelog Nexus Mods Please submit feedback about the 1.2.0 guide to this topic.
darkglobe87 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 When following the guide to the letter, I don't get "FalloutNV.esm" showing in the left pane of MO2.
darkglobe87 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Ignore above. Just got to the end of the guide and I'm getting an error: The only migkao esp I have is migkao-wmx.esp. Please help
darkglobe87 Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I don' know how to delete a post. Ignore above.

Majorman Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 I guess OP downloaded the optional patch for Mostly Unarmed Tweaks instead of the main file. WMX was dropped in Step Guide v 1.1.0 in January. Edit: in MO2, if you highlight a plugin in the right plane by left-clicking on its name (not the box), it will in turn highlight the corresponding mod in the left plane in blue. This way you can make the connection between plugins and mods.
Akatosh Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 Brotherhood and House Truce now has added a version which doesn't require other mods, except NVSE of course. So technically it would work again with this guide.
Majorman Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 @Akatosh, ah, good to know, I asked the mod author for that version several weeks ago, it's great they kept their promise!
darkglobe87 Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Hey. Thanks for the assistance - Majorman - completely correct ha, I was very tired when following the guide. Which is why I'm starting again. Fingers crossed this time. Last time I halfway through realised I was using 1.1.0. So starting again fresh. Hopefully I get further than I did last time... soon as the courier opened his eyes he saw a red triangle where the vig-o-matic was meant to be. Sad times. Thanks again for your help. I did give up on your guide and used wabbajack to install VNV modlist but it's not as comprehensive as yours.
Majorman Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Hey, good luck this time around. Just be careful to follow one version of the guide (1.2.0 has been just released) and don't rush it - you can do a couple of sections at a time. I don't think all 300+ mods can be installed in one day.
walterAgator Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 I must have completed my install of version 1.1.0 about an hour before 1.2.0 release. LOL I am going through everything again. So instructions for Improved Sound FX v0821 tell us to disable Improved Sound FX.esp. That leaves 7 others enabled. There is also a hidden esp called Improved Sound FX - Merged Major DLCs.esp that makes me wonder if it should be used instead of some of the others. Thanks for sharing your work. I know it takes a lot of time to sort all of this out. Truly appreciated!
Majorman Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Good catch, I've got the instructions reversed. They are updated now. BTW, no need to redo the whole installation process. You can try using the changleog and going section-by-section, adding the new mods and deleting the obsolete ones.
walterAgator Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 Thank you Majorman General! I went through the change-log as advised. Going to run LOD next. Once I made the change to Improved Sound FX and ran loot it told me which other esps are not needed. So I end up with 3 esps enabled, GRA, Merged Major and sharing fix.
Majorman Posted September 21, 2022 Posted September 21, 2022 This doesn't sound right, you need Improved Sound FX.esp and Improved Sound FX - Merged Major DLCs.esp only.
Aegison Posted October 17, 2022 Posted October 17, 2022 Ammo Burst Case Count Fix is now hidden on the Nexus and recommended to be replaced by lStewieAl's Tweaks and Engine Fixes.
