Glad it's working now.

Disabling autosaves introduces LOD bugs, so no, I will not add it.

These things are so easy to overlook, Bethesda games are plagued by them :confused:

If I remember right, qucksaving and autosaving could break scripts in Morrowind. So I went and disabled autosave.

Thanks again for your great tool! I think I and probably some others could benefit from a warning feature that warns of potentially harmful values, if you would be willing to invest the time.

Need more information than that. What were your previous ini files (find them in spINI Cache/Before spINI)? What are your current ini files?

so basically i found out my previous game i had these settings:

uExterior Cell Buffer=64

uGridsToLoad=7

and your program makes it to

uExterior Cell Buffer=32
uGridsToLoad=5

so if i dont put it to these values it crashes my personal save ... how much are those option will effect me if i leave them to 32 and 5 ?
also if u can add me on steam here i got some more question please : https://steamcommunity.com/id/1tay/

You should be able to change ugrids in one of the tabs, I think under details tab. Setting it to 7 is a performance hog, but you can't change it for your existing game.

I don't do the whole Steam chat thing.

wouldnt bother too much on performance right?

also now that i set it to 7 what should my uExterior Cell Buffer be at ?

Whoops, spINI causes LODs to simply disappear for me, with its default settings + ENB Optimization.

Here's the working, normal, probably ugly .ini files:

Skyrim.ini: https://pastebin.com/SnXr0BrY

SkyrimPrefs.ini: https://pastebin.com/i4u7Me1G

Here's it after spINI modified them:

Skyrim.ini: https://pastebin.com/XgenuZGf

SkyrimPrefs.ini: https://pastebin.com/DJ6Ysu55

I used DynDOLOD to generate the LODs.

Also, thanks for backing up the old files, I thought my game was practically a goner there.

On an unrelated note/semi-related note: Dragonsreach is semi-invisible from the inside with meshes even missing (can walk through ground where the wizard dudes office once was), is this a mod error or a fancy visual glitch? It's not ENB nor DynDOLOD. I used spINI in hopes of it fixing this but it didn't help.

Edit: This might be of some help:

fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=1e+007 <--- spINI

fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist=10000000.0000 <--- not spINI

That's the only significant difference I could find. Pun, uh, not intended.

So I tried both versions of spINI and for some reason it's not altering my INIs anymore

1. I'm using MO
2. I've triple checked to make sure I am using the correct profile

3. I've made value adjustments in spINI (like setting grass density to 0) but it never changes the INI when I look in MO within the correct profile

Suggestions?

Please verify that the INI Path under Setup is set to the correct directory. It is possible that spINI may inaccurately detect your Mod Organizer location.

You must have accidentally enabled Terrain Fade-in, unless spINI had a bug in it. I removed this settings entirely, so it can't be a problem anymore anyway if it was a bug. To fix, just set bUseNewTerrainSystem to 1 in Skyrim.ini. fMeshLODLevel1FadeDist doesn't matter, and 1e+007 is simply the vanilla ultra value in exponential notation, which both are identical.

As for Dragonsreach, I don't know of the issue you describe. If it was there before, I assume it is some mod problem.
