  1. From the OP: If making posts or reporting errors, upload/paste these files (if they exist) to a file service or pastebin ..\DynDOLOD\bugreport.txt ..\DynDOLOD\Logs\[DynDOLOD|TexGen]_[TES5|ENDERAL|SSE|TES5VR]_log.txt ..\DynDOLOD\Logs\[DynDOLOD|TexGen]_[TES5|ENDERAL|SSE|TES5VR]_Debug_log.txt If issue involves LODGen upload/paste ..\DynDOLOD\Logs\LODGen_[TES5|ENDERAL|SSE|TES5VR]_[Worldspace]_log.txt
  2. This is the problem. Find the source of those textures to determine if it is from a mod. Otherwise, sheson may need to add an exclusion for this file. It probably has a non-standard compression type for normal maps: Error loading ... textures\lod\mtnridge02lod_n.dds: Not a valid DDS texture textures\lod\mtncliffsm01lod_n.dds: Not a valid DDS texture textures\lod\mtncliff04lod_n.dds: Not a valid DDS texture EDIT: Well ... you aslo have access violations, so that could be the real problem. I will step out of this now :P
  3. I echo elenhil. WB is great for certain things, but MO has tackled the all-in-one mod management solution better than any of the competition. Anyone who disagrees is either being stubborn or considering the things WB is very good at (e.g., bashed patch, and certain config edits). I recommend WB as a helper app to MO though, but we don't advise that in our guides, since it isn't necessary. MO will provide all info needed for ESL flags and allow you to easily do that in the app. you can merge plugins as mentioned outside of these apps and just load those according to the LOOT rules I assume you will set.
  4. The name of this mod sent my mind to the gutter. Now I see that there really is a replacer for just about everything. Seeing a before/after would be interesting if not too tedious to capture.
  5. I prefer this mod, even with the banding
  6. Agreed. I use this as well without issue, and it works nicely with AMD drivers
  7. I didn't even think of that ... did you use the suggested settings for 3.x in the guide? If so, can you try that version with alternate settings to let us know what works?
  8. Like I mentioned, be sure to disable resource mods that should only be enabled during LOD gen. The really bright stuff looks like ice/glaciers, which uses that material shader I think. This could also be an option you used when installing Cathedral Landscapes or Majestic Mountains. I would revisit those ... agree that your LOD looks ok.
  9. Yes, the issue is probably with CL and DynDOLOD ... did you run DynDOLOD? If so, be sure that you have the proper mods enabled in MO when running that and then disabled when finished. Revisit detailed instructions for those mods and the DynDOLOD instructions. You are only worried about terrain LOD regen, I believe. You should not need to re-run object LOD or occlusion ... but be sure that you note each of the details in your review. It's almost certainly a very small error. If you are lucky, you just need to enable/disable one of these mods in MO. This is assuming that you don't have anything custom at this point. That could throw a wrench into everything I must mentioned. If nothing above fixes, you could have a driver settings issue or a Skyrim(Prefs).ini setting wrong, in which case, you should get that all sorted in vanilla first and then check those portions of the guide. MO should make it simple to do this without any extra work.
  10. Mod page Fomod updated to reflect BDS 3.x options. We will need someone to test these settings in game, each of the three plugins will need to be tested with each of the three Projected Diffuse Texture options and the Optional Addon. I would do it, but I'm waaay busy with the site upgrade, so any assistance would be appreciated. Post some screen compares if possible on the mod thread.

  12. Awesome. THANK YOU
  13. My suggestion is to move to alpha 14 just to rule out mysticism.
  14. This is merged in the STEP patches ... note the merged indicator in leftmost col of the guide next to this mod. I updated the instructions for Krypto's Patch Hub to be a bit clearer. I reexamined LOOT messages, and all clear but for a message about USSEP - Gemling Queen Jewelry SE compatibility patch. Since I'm not sure what the issue is here, I defer to Tech or others.
  15. Thanks for the update. Good stuff!
  16. You should open up EVT for maintenance ... maybe cathedral-ise it
  17. Sheson will correct my mistakes, but when I did this, I kept all branch shaders but for those that are not compatible like parallax (forget if those were on trunks or branches). And yes, the planes are trunks and the z values correspond to the high/low of the trunks in the planes used. You can see this in some of the hybrid trees in the DynDOLOD resources as I recall. I also found that using the trunk shaders without converting them to 2D planes was much easier and looks better without any performance impact (assuming optimized poly counts). That's also what kojack did for Myrkvior.
  18. The issue is that autoplay is not working because mute is not set in the HS plugin PHP. That's why it just does nothing on click. I updated the HS plugin on Mediawiki but am not applying it to the current software to avoid breaking anything. I can probably go into the code and update it. Embedvideo is a different extension. Not sure why that doesn't work. EDIT: Fixed it. I didn't update the plugin though.
  19. Yes, that is actually LOD4 or the closest LOD in the LOD lineup. The excerpt I quoted implies that the SFO pine LODs are not supported in EVT (IMO). You will probably need to make the billboards or passthru LOD meshes yourself in that case so that DynDOLOD can use them. Vurt may have some by now ... or maybe someone else created them for his mods, so those would work with EVT.
  20. From the mod page description: Semi-compatible Mods Skyrim Flora Overhaul - incompatible out of the box. Users can use the updated meshes for the Vurt's SnowyPines option, being sure to grab the billboards for them from SFO. Users may also hide/delete the trees from SFO and only use the grasses.Last LOD? Do you mean LOD4/8/16/32? You can use DynDOLOD to generate 3D trees from the full (stripped-down) models or any available billboards for Billboard2. If SFO has the billboards for those trees, you should be able to use DynDOLOD to gen the 2D versions for those. Tech will be able to give you more specific advice for the SFO LOD, since he maintains that mod, but I would probably build the needed passthru models from that mod so that DynDOLOD would produce 3D trees. I would strip out the animation and other incompatible stuff from the base models and just use those if you know DynDOLOD pretty well. Otherwise, you will need to consult that doc for instructions.
  21. Thanks, we'll check it out. In the middle of prepping for the site move (finally), so guide revisions pending that event.
  22. First, it requires extra work :) It would also distribute our guide from a source redundant with what we already offer here. Our goal is to not only provide a guide but a forum and a more versatile method of guide building and maintenance using a wiki. We collect and compile as much relevant info as possible and try to focus more on the why and how of building and testing a setup. We'd rather be a resource for Wabbajack users and authors in addition to people that are trying to learn, tweak, and test. Step is more a "hobby site" with some hopefully reliable and useful info.
  23. Agree with Tech .. also, SE is higher res and 64-bit compliant, so naturally, performance requirements are bumped as well. The mandate is all relative to the game, and the 3.0 guide has a different base game.
  24. Huh? It's "Cathedral Landscapes" on Nexus and in the Guide. Mod page was "Landscapes - Cathedral Concept" as is this thread name, so wiki is consistent with Nexus now. Just need to change this Topic name (optional).
