It's related to weather to some degree. I would try lowering brightness/contrast and increasing gamma under BethINI Visuals (or via Skyrim INIs). If you are using ENB, that could also be a factor.
-
That's what I though as well. It's a bit like Crafting Overhaul options in that way. I didn't mark it 'testing' because I wasn't sure if we would want to add this. I like the concept though.

Agree that 3D Snowberries HD is best, particularly since 99% of snowberries are snowy. The non-snowy ones in the screen posted are rare, so I will take the overly-bright textures as a tradeoff. It should be easy to correct by simply hiding the offending texture in the HD version. The standard version needs to be installed regardless for the meshes and all textures:

To be clear: Install the 5 stand-alone patches and NOT the FOMOD, since it doesn't get updated as often: I have named them according to my preference, but they are all alphabetized and simple to find by the abbreviations under Misc files. The other patches you mention DO use the FOMOD installer, which is the "click defined" stuff you are talking about. I updated the instructions for clarity.

It probably remains mostly valid, but for updated mods that may not need certain tweaks or that may have other dependencies. I would follow it as a general guide to the mods to download and general setup.
-
Thanks ... after looking at the snowy versions in-game, 3D snowberries HD looks best, IMO. Note that the MA fails to note that the 3D Snowberries original mod must be installed and loaded first for the mesh. Where is a non-snowy location for these?

Discussion topic: FIZZLE by dAb Wiki Link This mod would seem prudent if we pick up any of the relevant mods that distribute spells to NPCs. It also keeps the PC in check. Most likely will have some compatibility issues with some of the other related mods, so patching may be necessary. Come to think of it, this mod may be redundant with these mods as well: Spell perk Item Distributor Odin Enemy (R)Evolution

ACCEPTED 3D Junipers - Trees and Berries (by wSkeever)

This mod is a good replacer. The foliage and bark actually resemble junipers more than current Step. The berries are a bit large though.- 5 replies

I prefer 3D Snowberries standard for the first screen set (the HD texture is way too bright for the lighting). For the second screen set, 3D Snowberries HD texute looks best. Would need to test in game more.

I would suggest following the guide I linked and just skip downloading and installing all but the mods through Foundation in Step 4 (and your grass mod). Then do Step 5. I've never used Vortex, so I can't speak to how it may or may not be a factor in the issues you are having. Running through our guide and using the tools we recommend will provide you with some perspective and understanding that should illuminate what may be going wrong.

ACCEPTED Odin - Skyrim Magic Overhaul (by EnaiSiaion)
z929669 replied to TechAngel85's topic in Skyrim SE Mods
Thanks ... the 'tools' mentioned may be worth considering to balance things. I'm not typically much of a magic user in RPGs, but I like the idea of NPCs getting a boost in line with the PC to enhance the challenge.- 36 replies

So these perk overhauls essentially "coordinate" related perk nodes to be long common paths to maximize efficiency when spending perk points? Do they alter vanilla perks or just rearrange them?- 15 replies

Which modding guide did you use? 'Deleted' DynDOLOD output, or the program? What version are you running? Advise using v2.xx and NOT the latest alpha v3.0. First, you don't need to start over when using MO. You only need to get your mods and DynDOLOD sorted out. Since your issue could be caused by a great many things, and we don't support the guide or mods you are using, I'd suggest reading through our System Setup Guide and the following sections of our Skyrim SE guide, which will probably correct all of your potential configuration issues. These instructions apply to any Skyrim mod build: Step 1 - Env Configuration Step 2 - Tool Configuration Step 3 - Cleanup Step 5 - LODGen The BethINI configuration instructions will possibly help with grass rendering in terms of proper INI config for grass and LOD. Also, you need to regenerate all LOD when updating landscape mods. There is always a chance that you have a compatibility issue as well, so you can just disable DynDOLOD mods entirely, sort mods with LOOT and load up without this to see how your grass behaves. When disabling DynDOLOD, you need to go to an interior cell, disable DynDOLOD in the MCM GUI, save/quit before disabling the relevant terrain, texgen, and object LOD 'mods'. Then load the save game, and exit the interior cell. Check things out from here, and be sure to go into an interior cell again and save before you regen LOD. Then once you have done all of the reading and regen LOD, load this save game and reinitialize DynDOLOD. In fact, your issues could be related to improperly disabling/re-initializing DynDOLOD. sheson would advise you to read the doc on how to properly initialize (which I basically outlined above).

You need to do this on the archive, not the extracted folder.

FEEDBACK Weird LODgen and DynDOLOD Instruction
z929669 replied to TheKingDede99's topic in Step Skyrim SE Guide
MM xLODGen files are not instructed, just the MM DynDOLOD. All is correct. -
You are skipping over some basic stuff from the top of the guide, so you need to follow the System Setup Guide and the MO section in particular. We recently moved the Tools Setup from the main guide into this guide, since this piece is generally applicable to all of our Bethesda game guides.
-
Thanks. Open Cities mods have lots of compatibility issues for one, so running them presents many additional support challenges. Many things tend to break with such mods, so it's a much larger level of effort for most. You can certainly add that mod though.
