GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Hey Ess, Speaking of Wasteland Flora Overhaul - Dead version, I don't think the instruction to download the update is valid. The "update" is from an earlier date than the latest version of the file itself. Mono supplied the latest version of the Dead file for Vurt, and speaking with Mono, he believes he incorporated the update in the file. Also, if we use the update, it overwrites the plugin, so we lose the changes that Mono made. Also, for Fallout Character Overhaul, there is a bugfixes mod that the FCO author recommends in the sticky post on the FCO Nexus page. The FCO author doesn't have time to update FCO itself, so he recommends this mod for now. FCO Bugfixes. It's an .esp replacer. Besides that Bugfixes mod, there is one thing that needs to be fixed with FCO. Due to an error in the FOMOD, the animated sweat ESP doesn't have the ".esp" extension added to the name, so it currently doesn't work. If you edit the filename to add ".esp", it should work with no problems. I can edit the wiki myself to add this stuff if you want. I don't want to add more work for you, lol. I'm just happy you're still working on the guide, and I'm getting into FNV at the right time. :-) -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Cut content - yes, as you untick the mods. Advanced Recon - no, as you only move the plugins to option and don't copy general assets when merging. Note these have different merging procedures. However, there is no real reason to remove the mods from the left pane, even when you can. It makes it much easier if you ever have to re-merge. Edit: Lol walked away for a few mins and missed 3 posts. -
Step CORE or Patches installation questions/concerns
Nebulous112 replied to Ellilea's topic in Step Skyrim LE Guide
The one you install after will have a higher priority index. This means it will win conflicts with general assets (such as textures and meshes). It will be visually lower down in the list if sorting by priority. You can see what overrides what by looking at the lightning bolt with green + signs or red - signs by the mod name. If you have a mod selected in the list, and it overrides another mod's assets, the mods it overrides or gets overriden by are highlighted in red or green. You can also double-click a mod in the list and go to the conflicts tab to see a list of individual files that conflict with other mods. If you have Mod Organizer managing BSAs (in the archive tab), it will show file conflicts within BSAs as well, not just loose files. This is all "left-pane" stuff. It's basically like installation order, except you can move the order around, hide certain files if they are loose, etc. If you want to know what wins conflicts with your mod plugins (right pane), that is dependant on your load order, which you can generally sort with LOOT. To see the conflicts themselves (and patch then if you want), you need to use xEdit. Hopefully that makes sense. For more info on MO, see the MO Guide. https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Mod_Organizer -

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn
Nebulous112 replied to Darth_mathias's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
FYI, the LotD Unofficial Patch on the main LotD page got an update to v1.3. One script needs to be cleaned. Quoting Ice: "Additionally, if you have picked up the book "The Saber Cat" prior to installing V1.3 and cleaning the script, you will break the Much Ado About Snow Elves quest. Revert to a previous save. Prior to doing this update and cleaning, just avoid that book. It had an erroneous script on it." -
I added a non-official testing tag to the OP. I would recommend Sabrecat, btw. Great re-texture...at this point can we expect any less from Kajuan? Edit: Also, SSE version of Sabrecat is here.

Discussion thread: MAMMOTH by Kajuan Wiki Link (SSE version here) Yet another fantastic texture by Kajuan. This is a great companion to his Giant re-texture, and is available in 4k, 4k-2k, 2k, and 1k sizes. Vanilla is 2k.

GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Good stuff, thanks. Just wanted to double-check it wasn't something that needed to be added. I decided to finally hop on the FNV train. Better late than never, I suppose...besides Fallout 1, FNV is the only Fallout game I haven't really played. Oh, a couple mod suggestions while I remember. I noticed on the YUP page that Yuki / Sandbox recommend these fixes (not integrated because they require NVSE): - Explosives Immunity Fix by Sigvaldr - Water Consumed Stat Fix by Asterra Not sure if they are of any use for the F&L guide, but I thought I'd mention them all the same. Edit: Nevermind, I see a couple people have recommended Unofficial Patch Plus. Includes these and more... That's probably the way to go if you want to incorporate more fixes into the guide. -
GUIDE Fear and Loathing in New Vegas - Feedback
Nebulous112 replied to EssArrBee's topic in Fear & Loathing in New Vegas
Hey Ess, I had a question about New Vegas Stutter Remover. The .ini section for that lists "bHookGetTickCount = 1" in the Master section, but that setting is not present in the .ini file for the most recent version. Is this just a holdover from past versions that had this setting? The only info I could find on the forum was a similar post about the FO3 guide, and Kelmych seemed to think it was just from a past version and could be removed. -

Also, it might be worth noting that the particle patch / subsurface scattering patch has been updated a few times since Vividian updated. Would it be worth adding it to the guide as a separate mod? -

SKYRIMLE SRLE extended LOTD. Suggestions for new additions.
Nebulous112 replied to Nozzer66's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
1) Recommended additions with no compatibility problems or other issues I would suggest a few addons from the SkyTweak page. These add FISS functionality to iHUD, moreHUD and SkyUI. Completely independent of SkyTweak, just hosted on that page in the optional files. More functionality with no downside. FISS Preset Patch - iHUD FISS Preset Patch - moreHUD FISS Preset Patch - SkyUI I would also definitely recommend Hearthfire Multiple Adoptions. It is the most widely used way to get a spouse and/or children to live in a modded home. Supported by many different house mods, including Legacy of the Dragonborn. From the LotD front page: " -Supports "Hearthfires Multiple Adoptions" in the safehouse living space for up to 6 kids and spouse!". 2) Graphical suggestions HD LODs Textures (which is used in the guide but mislabeled as HD-LOD Buildings) recommends Rustic Windows and Arri's Snow Elf Ruins Retexture alongside Noble Skyrim, as that is what the LODs are based off of. With Arri's Snow Elf Re-texture, either use the "SSE 2K" version (v1.2), or use 1.1 with ZoneRaven's fix. I haven't tested v1.2 but someone in the posts page said there were no issues. 3) Miscellaneous suggestions Thane Weapons Reborn is by icecreamassassin, author of LotD. Currently has admittedly poor textures, but Ice is working on it and the next update should have some decent-looking stuff. The idea of the mod is fantastic, though - instead of receiving a crappy, generic item upon being made a Thane of a hold, receive a truly unique weapon that you can be proud to own (and may actually want to keep). Has displays in LotD for the items. Tentapalooza for Campfire adds a variety of Tents and accessories meant to work with Campfire and Frostfall, and is a perfect match for them, IMO. Movement Speeds Fixed fixes some bugs and inconsistencies with movement speeds. For example, back-walking with a one-handed weapon is by default 0.6 times the speed of back-walking with a two-handed weapon. Ashien's Cursed Rings are a great way to help balance followers. Like having followers, but hate how powerful they are? Make them wear one of these rings. They use Slot 55, by default, so they do not interfere with regular rings (but there may be conflicts with other mods - need to check what slots are used by the guide). Read the page for more details. The Eloquent Reader is a great little mod that adds a small amount of experience toward leveling Speech every time you read a new book. The main file has compatibility issues, but the "True Scholar Sneak Preview" file is an SKSE version of the mod with no compatibility issues. It only makes sense...read and your skill with language improves. Keep Spell Tomes After Use does exactly what the name says. Why do spell tomes disappear when read? It makes no sense. Now they don't. I'll leave it at that. I have more I could suggest, as I'm sure everyone does. For example, I would never play without Stealth Skills Rebalanced or Smithing Perks Overhaul (both by Kryptopyr), but I doubt they would be compatible without a lot of effort. Anyway, this isn't a "suggest my whole load order be put in the guide" thread. :-P -

Uncheck have MO manage archives, but make sure all the BSAs are checked. It will be greyed out in the MO archive management tab, but make sure your plugins that correspond to the BSAs are checked. That should make everything checked in the archive management tab. Basically, regardless of whether MO is managing archives or not, you should have all your BSAs checked unless there is a specific reason you want to deactivate one. Edit: Note that this is just general MO advice...I don't know too much about the FNV guide. -
STEP Core includes every mod on the wiki guide with a green bar on the left-side of the mod name. STEP Extended includes everything on the Wiki, besides a few mods or patches that end up being redundant. Relevant instructions to not install these mods (or specific patch options with a mod) are found in the Detailed Instructions. The STEP Compilation detailed instructions include a table underneath the instructions that has the information on mods included in Core or Extended versions of the STEP Compilation mod. The STEP Compilation does not include all the mods in the STEP guide. It is a compilation of mods (mostly textures) that are not included elsewhere on the wiki guide, and are compiled together in one mod for ease of installation. The STEP Compilation also includes the STEP Patch (Core or Extended, automatically chosen for you in the FOMOD).

SRLE Extended: Legacy of The Dragonborn

Are you guys sure it wasn't just a typo in the guide? STEP, SR:LE base, and SR:LE LotD Reqtified links to this page for NoMaaM Breathing Idles by Fore. Same filename and version number requested on SR:LE base, SR:LE LotD Reqtified and SR:LE Extended LotD, "Female without BBB and Male Breathing Idles" version 0.1. The Nexus file ID is only off by one digit as well, "7093" for STEP, SR:LE base, and SR:LE LotD Reqtified, versus "3093" for SR:LE Extended LotD. -

[spoiler=DBM Unofficial Fix Patch.txt]- Massive amount of Typo's/Grammar/Punctuation fixes. Far too many to list.- Some USLEEP Text fixes carried over.- Repaired the tempering for Dawn/Duskfang.- Weapon Critical values fixed on many legacy weapons (too many to list).- Repaired a few food storage items in the safe house kitchen.- Updated Meshes for Stormlord Armor.- Updated Meshes for the Crusader's Sword. The following script needs to be cleaned: DBM_SupplyGrabScript The sticky says that the unofficial patch is how LotD will be maintained moving forward. Asterisks are a wild card. That means it can stand for anything. So yes, I would say delete both. Edit: Also, I saw that a brand new Helgen Reborn patch was released on Patch Central. [spoiler=Helgen Reborn Patch] - Added "Helgen Reborn" patch to the OPTIONAL file section. Fixes a conflict with a Stormcloak/Imperial camp and Legacy's Field Station #1. Patch courtesy of orian34
