DROPPED BLESSINGS - Altar Descriptions (by MyGoodEye)

If these were rewritten in a lore friendly manner they would be great additions. -
Skyrim Unplugged (by stoppingby4now)
frihyland replied to stoppingby4now's question in Other Utilities Support
Yeah all my other stuff is there as expected, I assume its the way I regularly abuse skyrim by manually deleting the folders than rebuilding using steam validate, I also have a scheduled registry cleaner so I checked its log over the last 3 months but I get nothing searching for any of the above terms. -

yep I filtered by keys. the uninstall path is still there and loaded with data but searching for 72850 there with no filters yields zip -

You can't touch installing STEP with AHC we are still top of the food chain, I may however have to get my hands dirty and do the programming myself.

Interpreting Papyrus Logs
frihyland replied to Neovalen's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Any mod throwing those errors is very badly designed and needs to be flagged and the author notified, because its common doesn't make it ok. Its a trivial fix to avoid all those errors just need to attach all of the scripts to a quest that only gets triggered when you reach a certain point. This also allows for a completely clean uninstall, if you stop the quest all attached scripts will stop as well. -
Probably not, it just totally blows immersion for me, like fast travel.

Well half of it worked thats the weird part. -
They will be resized and stretched or shrunken as appropriate to a regular size, this will cause degradation and usually quite radical in my experience.I would set the parameters to avoid remipping for those particular mods.We are trying to move away from bcf to ahc in general, the next STEP will likely support both formats unless we fix the ahc issues very soon. Incorporating ddsopt processing into AHC is a very interesting idea and quite doable in the long term, but not for this round of STEP.

Skyrim Unplugged (by stoppingby4now)

I'm getting an unhandled error on Win 8 32bit Skyrim i installed. PATH: C:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim Install Source: Software\Valve\Steam No path data found for CK (it is installed and works fine), I guess that's where the error occurs -
This is the thread for the Official MO wiki site, so anything discussed their is appropriate as well as stuff you would like to see covered there.

Interpreting Papyrus Logs
frihyland replied to Neovalen's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Everyones papyrus log is gonna be different, what you have to do is start with a vanilla install and ini and start a new game and familiarize yourself with the vanilla errors. Now add the uskp and take another look. Now add a few mods at a time and take another look each time, report errors to the mod authors. Most errors are innocuous in themselves, the problem is however insidious and even non serious errors can lead to serious problems if their are too many of them. -
It all depends on how you play really, if you disable fast travel and waiting then there are some potential issues unless you are also sleeping regularly.

Black Circles, z-fighting and texture shimmering

Thanks majin, its becoming inevitable that we will get into mod editing here at some point and that's a fabulous tip. -
Basically vendors will never restock and monsters will never respawn, and bodies will never clear unless you change their timers accordingly as well, other than that you are probably ok. I change it to 60000 when I want to pass 31 days, I been forgetting to add that to the troubleshooting guide for a while now...

There are a whole variety of options when you right click on an esp in bash, check them out. Check for udr is the one I use most frequently, the rest may not be fully skyrim compatible yet, need to do some testing of bash there. Anyway the other tools are coming along nicely we'll have something useful soon.

Its might be property in the mesh, can_receive_light or something, I haven't messed with meshes myself at all so Its a pretty big guess.

DROPPED Better Rocks and Mountains (by Four Leaf Clover)
frihyland replied to JudgmentJay's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yeah it got dropped in the giant cleanup when the first DLC was released, perhaps the meshes were completely overlooked or there were performance issues or ctd's, its a good candidate to get reevaluated for STEP.
