  1. Make sure that you don't end up with floating posters from Yam's if you use Open Freeside. Not sure if it conflicts, but Open Strip has floating posters where the walls used to be.

  3. WMX gra is not needed AFAIK. The mods that are purple can be unchecked. Technically they are merged. Only use the drag body trooper overhaul plugin. Maybe we of you can run the Fnvedit merge script on the cut content mods. You get the script from the skyrim nexus it should work. I used it for the Adam plugins. Edit: I posted a new improved sounds WMX patch. You don't need the IS-WMX gra patch or the IS-WMX weapon sharing fix with my patch. Just search my user name on the nexus, same as here, and I put a load order and all the info on the page.
  4. Thinking you may have to reduce the number of plugins you have. Post your modlist and load order so I can see what you can use the FNVEdit merge script on.
  5. We advocate the use of Wrye Bash which can do the same thing for leveled lists, Stats changes, and Name changes. Merged Patch is just a different approach.
  6. Mo auto detects skse if it is installed correctly. No need to add it. Just restart MO and it should list SKSE in the executables drop down.
  7. I don't know that you would want to stop Optimus from working or you would always be using the discrete graphics for any application with hardware acceleration. Basically, your browser would be eating your battery power up like a fat guy at fried chicken buffet. But, if you really want to do it, I think you can do it in the BIOS. There may also, be another way if you use device manager, but I've never really come across that and don't know if the intel drivers are two separate drivers for the chipset or combined.
  8. Tales of the Burning Sands is excellent and will be in the guide when I finish up testing For The Enclave and seeing if some of these quest mods all work together. I'm afraid that is most time consuming thing that I can currently undertake. The quests that are built in the existing worldspace and spread out across the wasteland cause the biggest compatibility issues with other mods that do the same. I know that Searchlight Airport would not get included if I go with For the Enclave. It is great though since the Enclave is now a full faction with a big base of operations. I like it so far. Saw Ewi's mods and he has the Ultimate Edition already out, so I'll post some screen of his stuff soon. Let some others help make up my mind. After War Nevada looks like a really great mod, but would require other authors to go and patch their mods to work with that. I just don't have the time to test that, but anyone can do so and just make a thread and tell us all about it. Road Fighter Armor does look great and it is really nice to use in game, especially for characters that use guns. Try it out. I might try that Snow Globe mod tonight, I hate that they are nothing but 2000 caps. They aren't quite as hard to find as the bobbleheads in Fallout 3, but there are so many less of them around. I might actually try out the bobblehead mod that hides them and assigns bonuses. Thanks for all the suggestions. Should be adding a lot of conflict stuff the next couple days. Still haven't decided if I want to tell people how to patch or if I just want to distribute a collection of patches or a combined patch.
  9. When you see that red text, just right click the folder you see that should be the data directory and select 'Set data directory'. That should remove the error. Any mod that has that problem is fixed this way. Also, so mods require you to do a few times to find the right folder.
  10. Maybe you've tried so many 4gb patches that Steam gave up.
  11. No clue why. Fallout gremlins. Because of the nature of that section it is a pain in the ass to test so I'm putting off adding to it, but flashlight nvse and advanced recon gear see the short list. Maybe powered power armor, but I'm not as big a fan of that mod like I thought I'd be. If armor had upgrades that mod would be better cuz you could upgrade from using cells to using fission batteries or something awesome like that.
  12. No yup is just fixes. Install flashlight nvse right after one HUD then run unified HUD again.EDIT: or right before one HUD. Check the one HUD page at the bottom for directions.

  15. Try enhanced shaders neutral edition to get one that works with all the visor overlays in project Nevada. I haven't had time to work on the guide much the last couple days. Just a little here and there, but should have a couple hours tonight to get some more mod testing, enb testing, and general rewrites of some areas that bother me.

  18. The MO external installer handles fomods that the internal installer can't do, but if there is an additional script which is common with with fallout mods then you can't install with MO. Depending on the mod see if it has a manual version or if you can remove the FOMOD from the mod archive and then try to install. That means you need to most of work the FOMOD was doing but at least you can install it.
  19. I can't watch the video ATM, but I can guess it is trying to crush a myth from the olden days. This has more to do with non-physical digital projection of movies in modern times vs the physical analog projection of the old days. You had to project over a certain amount of slides of film per second to make the black lines between frames 'disappear' and that has turned into something else entirely over the years as we moved to non-physical mediums. Get a 60hz TV and 240hz TV and it will take a while to get used to one after viewing the other, pretty much because a lot of >60hz TVs tend to remove motion blur because they suck. Video rendering is so much different in games than a movie projector, so that myth should really die off. Actually, this speaks to a very prevalent problem in the world today about the blending of words non-physical and digital, also physical and analog. I blame music for this when we switched from tapes to CDs. Digital just means base 2 number system was used to manage data, but we somehow forgot to tell everyone there are physical mediums that are digital. IBM makes 12 TB tape that is for storing sequential, digital data. Also, there is many, many non-physical, analog mediums. DARPA is working on this very thing and trying to rebuild the entire world of computer architecture at the basic hardware levels using analog systems. Words are important people!!!! /rant Also, the myth that we only use 10% of our brains should die off. The quote isn't even correct, brain doctor once said something about only knowing what 10% of brain does and that turned into something else entirely. That was also, said about 80 years ago, I think, so we've come quite far since then.
  20. They may start at the same value, but as you gain perks and gain skill levels they will be different since the progression for light and heavy isn't the same. They start at the same point, but do not finish there is what I'm getting at.
  21. Yes it makes sense since Orcich is heavy and takes three perks minimum to get to on the tree, where elven is light and only takes two perks. Kryptopyr just made the whole thing a little more intuitive to the perk tree progression.
  22. You can install the entire list like we have it. Then when done, you can go to Profiles, the ID card button, and just make a copy of the STEP profile and uncheck all the mods you don't want to use in the left pane. Don't uninstall them though, that is across all profiles. but you can move mods around and it will not affect any other profiles.
  23. So, some people use different setups for Wrye Flash with with MO. I use pythonw.exe, some people use python.exe. Has anyone figured out something that might work for everyone or is it a crap shot?
  24. You don't need to extract those BSA files. For mods that have missing masters just untick them in the right pane until you install the master.
  25. Do the step guide. Then just make a copy of that profile with MO and install what you like instead.
