  1. Nothing extensive, but I ran around the forest for 15-20 minutes with all options enabled, a distance of 20 feet, and 3.5 seconds without issue on a previous (although Vanilla) save with just STEP. There was one time he turned his head a bit further than 90 degrees to look at a chicken, which looked a little weird, but that's about it. What exactly am I looking for as far as savegame corruption when uninstalling the mod? Your wording is still confusing me, you seem to be implying that the mod is in STEP or has been at some point... It's not and never has, we're trying to evaluate it for inclusion. I have nothing against coming here to check out new mods; in fact I encourage it, just make sure you're reporting your successes and/or failures with the mods you try.
  2. Up to you I suppose. I don't even have NMM installed, so I'm not 100% sure how WB will interact with it. For one thing though, WB won't restore any files from NMM that it overwrites. For example, if Mod A is installed by NMM and uses texture X and Mod B installed by WB uses the same texture, uninstalling Mod B will simply erase the file, WB won't know to restore Mod A's version of X. Are you trying to use SkyUI or just the MCM by itself? SkyUI is just an ESP/BSA combo, so it should install through WB no problem. If it's not showing up then there's got to be some issue with SKSE, or you're not setting something else up correctly.
  3. I don't think it's possible for a mod to work with NMM but not WB as long as you're installing it correctly... I use WB only and I have it working. Not sure what the problem is though; worst case scenario you can remove any trace of SkyUI and re-download the files.
  4. v4 removes a bunch of Sound flags that Dawnguard.esm adds and oddly enough there are only 5 entries where these two mods conflict. Am I missing something or does TES5Edit not paint the whole picture because as far as I can tell they're editing the same values.
  5.      Better Bones     Enhanced Dragon Bones To be honest neither looks fantastic, especially the limbs. Out of these two I'd go with the latter (this mod). EDIT: Using the 1k, "No flesh" option for this mod.
  6. I had this a long time ago, but I can't remember the exact solution. If Google fails, try verifying the Steam cache, I think it had something to do with the string files.
  7. Giving this a bump. How does it compare with Realistic Smoke and Embers?
  8. Wow, it shouldn't be that bad, I have the 6870 and get 45+ FPS with all 1k textures. How does the game performance with Vanilla, i.e. a completely clean installation of Skyrim and the HRDLC? If you're having issues with Vanilla then something else is going on. When you're installing the mods, hop in-game after every section and see where the performance hit is coming from.
  9. Going through with TES5Edit I noticed that your Dawnguard file undoes a change from the original in the quest Discerning the Transmundane.
  10. What section of STEP should this go under? We don't really have a section for performance stuff, but since it's interiors I'm not sure if it fits under G.
  11. have you enabled "override skips" for this package? Yeah, that's the only way I could even get WB to install the files.
  12. Just checked, and the ESM in my Data folder and the archive have the same checksum, although isn't this expected since WB takes the ESM from the archive and puts it in the Data folder? I guess I should have mentioned that I've put the ESMs in the WB archive as well. Oh well, I'll just manually put them in the Data folder and forget about it.
  13. Thanks for the explanation, meant to last night but marking this for testing.
  14. Adding new mods generally won't introduce new problems (STEP mods anyways, since we test for incompatibilities), and removing purely graphical mods won't hurt anything either since they're just textures. What you need to pay attention to is removing anything with an ESP. You can follow these instructions on our Troubleshooting Guide to properly rid your savegame of the ESP changes. It could do with a re-write but it really shouldn't be as much of a trouble as it looks. You can also do it once for all your mods, so you don't need to repeat it for each one.
  15. Interesting... I wonder if we ever had FemFeet or if no body noticed it way back when; this mod has been in STEP forever. I'm not entirely sure that could cause this since she's not wearing footwraps, but if you made a save there please throw in FemFeet and see if it fixes the issue.
  16. It's never been in STEP... are you saying that you think the Mod Suggestions forum is the list of mods that STEP suggests?
  17. As the title suggests, both Dawnguard.esm and Hearthfires.esm are reported missing by WB every time I start it. I'm not sure why this is happening since they're both in the archive and in the Data folder (and they are the same file). Annealing both mods fixes the problem for that session, but a more permanent solution would be appreciated. Thanks!
  18. He sent me this reply: I'll add a note saying it's no longer available and add it to the list of removals for v2.2.3. Sad to see it go, but hopefully something better comes from it.
  19. My only complaints are with these (from the mod description): Can you post the journal changes you made? I'm not too keen on any in-universe written material being changed, but if you can justify the changes then I can overlook it.so that... what? Also, what kind of conflicts will this introduce?
  20. Gack, all this time I've been fighting all sorts of issues with the game that require INI file edits and it wasn't even using the real INI file.... This needed to be in big red bold flashing letters. I knew it virtualized the data directory, but not the INI files.....This is mentioned in the main STEP guide in the first paragraph of the INI Tweaks section.
  21. If we're being strictly Vanilla-friendly then we should stick with the "No Flesh" option.
  22. It's going to be very difficult to update STEP unless you're using a mod manager such as WB or MO, but once you're using one of those it's incredibly simple. Before I delve too deep into either, are you referring to updating the mod files themselves or being able to use the same savegame between releases?
  23. Is it the same bone texture underneath the flesh? This version has various flesh options, Bloody Dragon Bones just has more flesh right?
