I've seen many authors say that... I think its because sometimes MO doesn't install things correctly or people complain about the nexus downloads not working. SMIM has the same issues with MO not handling the archives properly... The Vividian one may be a different scenario though --This is another reason why I use Wrye Bash for Oblivion

Quick Conflict Resolution question
hishutup replied to Heliadhel's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
okay, by resolution.esm I am sure you mean resolution.esp... I am going to refer to it as plugin or esp When you want to do more conflict resolution that you want to store in the esp then yes you should also check it when opening TES5Edit. When you close TES5Edit it'll save like how it started out as. So presumably, your "resolution" mod folder (Mo mod folder). If you Edit a plugin then that plugin will be saved. I encountered a rare instance where MO moved an edited plugin to the Overwrites folder. I think this will satisfy your questions. If you have more ask again. -

Okay good, you got it updated. Its much easier to read at a quick glance. I did the whole fake tab thing works great for while but then it becomes messy over time. Try out this: Normal line:indent with padding top::larger indent:::much larger::::etc.oh and you have on the ASIS instructions 'Customized AI' maybe there is a better one out there. Even in the Skyproc menu it says to use an alternative scripted mod.... I don't don't remember how it was worded though. Anyhow its nice to see the guide revitalized. I more less got swamped with rewriting mine last weekend. -
Armour Value issue: Armours give "0" armour rating
hishutup replied to BiddinWar's question in General Skyrim LE Support
my guess is that the reProccer didn't see any keywords it liked so it gave armor rating 0... Give this a look -
SKYRIMLE ONE MOUNTAIN - To Rule Them All (by Gamwich)

If there is going to be an installer then I'll give it a peak. There were soo many optional that I didn't even bother to try it because I was short on time and preoccupied... -
Help! Please (Troubleshooting)
hishutup replied to chopain's question in Guide Support & Bug Reports (retired)
Sometimes if you save during the Alternate Start stuff and after you are teleported to Tamriel. The save can corrupt. LOD permanently gets stuck and doesn't load... Why? IDK... So start a new game and then wait till all the stuff finishes. Then give it more time till you have to save. Never use quick saves, especially the first one after you are teleported into Tamriel. As for the CTDs check any plugins for errors in their references like error cannot be resolved. -

I've been working on my guide this entire weekend. I haven't been able to take a peak or download the mods for that matter. Next week I guess I have to *try to* write a Nerhim install guide, update MMO, finish rewriting Oblivion Guide and do school work... yay, you can almost hear the enthusiasm... -
There is no need to leave caps lock on. Supposedly it was deleted by someone that hacked Tko007 Nexus account. I believe the mod page says if you do not have the archive backed up then ignore it and move on. No, STEP can not host a download unless Tko007 reuploads it himself and provides a link If I am wrong somewhere, I am sure someone will correct me if I am...

Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
hishutup replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
They're fine... DCO works just fine with DD... I am almost positive footprints has a larger script hit than DCO or CWO for that mater. To avoid some issues maybe turnoff frostfall/wet and cold during the civilwar CWO is as close as its going to get. There are engine related issues that cannot be fixed but generally it is fine. Just be aware of if you have issues look at the CWO mod page. That being said they are large scripted mods and are bound to weirdness in one way or another. -
Getting Nehrim to run with MO and Steam Oblivion
hishutup replied to RS13's question in Mod Organizer Support
No, you're not. I went ahead and jumped right in. After installing it and everything, it showed me a readme for installing it which instructs you what to do. They didn't bother to pack that outside the .exe, in some way. With MO the instructions are going to be a little different. I am sorry but I forgot to grab it before I deleted everything because I screwed up somewhere. I'll see about writing the install section in mediocre detail for MO users tomorrow but no guarantees -
Getting Nehrim to run with MO and Steam Oblivion
hishutup replied to RS13's question in Mod Organizer Support
I have not tried it but I'll work with you... Soire has been absent for quite awhile and it was her thing. EDIT: Okay, the install is actually more difficult than I thought. Worthy of its own wiki page... which is not complete as of today. I don't have time to work on it today... I might have time tomorrow but I set that time aside to work on my Oblivion guide... Here is the current wiki page for Nerhim Mo may make things easier or more difficult. IDK Sorry, i thought this was super easy but its consuming a ton of time and I rather type on a wiki page than a post -
GUIDE Mythic Dawn: Gateway to Oblivion WIP
hishutup replied to hishutup's topic in Oblivion - Mythic Dawn
If someone can, I'd appreciate it if someone could read through the beginning up to the INI Tweaks section and provide feedback. I removed and added stuff. I am going to say it was a lot because it was a mess. -
Can the MO profile ini settings be changed by anything else than the user?
hishutup replied to xxx78's question in Mod Organizer Support
No Problem, yes but only if they are not set to read-only. Here is the location if you are unfamiliar. <MO install>/Profiles/<your profile>/ I think by default MO saves the Skyrim prefs.ini to read-only The launcher will act like it changed them but in reality it didn't The in-game setting menu. It can modify the settings for non-read-only files but when the files are set to read-only the effects will be present in-game until you close the application. They should eventually end up in the skyrim.ini (I think, I may be wrong) after the game is run. I don't believe Skyrim.ini is set to read-only by default... I don't think anything edits it other than what the user does Also "naturally exists" implies that they are the vanilla records and are not changing what the default values is. -

hishutup replied to xxx78's question in Mod Organizer Support
the engine and launcher can. Mo may add lines but I can't confirm this Those lines naturally exist in the ini -
Help please with weird tree textures :)
hishutup replied to Codcat's question in General Skyrim LE Support
SFO 2.0 uses different meshes. TreesHD must be placed before SFO 2.0 Pre-SFO 2.0 work very well with TreesHD TreesHD can because placed after pre-SFO 2.0 in that case Edit: What TechAngel85 said... Step uses v1.87 and extra files I just answered the initial question. My favorite is 1.91 regular but I've grown accustomed to 2.0 -
I think skyrim always has one rouge file redownload for no reason... I may be wrong though

pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim
hishutup replied to CJ2311's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I don't have the permissions to make the edits. So, until someone that does, its kinda stuck. -
No biggie, you're fine I don't quite understand what you're asking but STEP doesn't recommend this but it really doesn't matter about backing the original esm because you can just redownload it. I believe STEP has a strict setup to keep things consistent with debugging, packs and several other reasons but its YOUR game and you can do what you please. I went off the deep end and when crazy but thats me. (lots of merging, lots of patching) --- I think STEP has you create a separate mod for each cleaned esm so I guess just delete those and redo the beginning portion. Disable all mods Delete your cleaned version of esm (if you want to start from ground zero also delete the original esm because you'll have to do the verify game files) Verify game files through steam Back up the Update, DG, HF, DB Clean them individually and more/less in the order above Create the separate mod folders for each cleaned esm move the uncleaned back Place the uncleaned DLC in the correct order in MO (refresh may be required) Place the cleaned DLC mods after each Non-MO mod ---- How I would do it... Go through re-clean each DLC individually and in this order (Update, DG, HF, DB) Play the game...
