  1. Okay, I took a look in game... Its definitely better than but could be better. That may be a result of it being 2048... I guess, I was expecting something more defined. Especially, after seeing this pic (SFW) but I think that is a little over the top.
  2. I was just taken a peak at this but not in game. I see a ton of chromatic noise probably from compression. The face looks fine but the chin-neck region is quite colorful. I believe it would be quite safe to go to a 4k texture Maybe 2k uncompressed... I don't know you would have to provide examples. That and the ears and lips are quite pixely/ blurry. Just my opinion EDIT: I was comparing to other textures that I had used before. I also understand that it may look completely different in game.
  3. There may be weirdness with better males because he mentions "This was specifically designed for the vanilla male mesh (for now)" It could be perfectly fine without any issues though. The weirdness could be stretching and warping but nothing to bad outside of cosmetic. Yes, you would place it directly after Better Males. Make sure the textures override all other mods, otherwise you may need to place it lower.
  4. Install Nernies City and Village Expansion v1_25_loosefiles Then delete the plugin file install CJ's version If the above is correct then the instructions need to be fixed.
  5. Okay, that looks awesome. Is anyone else getting a Ratchet and Clank vibe or is that just me...
  6. Oops wrong pre release word, so no... Dragon Combat Overhaul Dragon Combat Overhaul V11 version 11 early testing upload. This is the same as the Alpha experimental. REQUIRES DAWNGUARD AND DRAGONBORN. DERGENBURN. Civil War Overhaul CWO V4 Alpha Experimental Version 4 - Alpha experimental, use at your own risk. REQUIRES A NEW GAME. I would say don't use Epic Gameplay Overhaul but rather use the separate mods that you would like to use. That above is my opinion because EGO seems to add a lot and I like mods like that separate because I don't like and found parts of EGO to be incompatible with my setup. Like IMPORTANT INFORMATION OVERHAUL with ENB or multicard (I can't remember which) has issues.ANDFire and Ice Overhaul which... (looks through changes tab) That being said, it is apparently fixed but I don't trust it but it was pretty awesome. *Your results may vary.
  7. I went ahead and took a look because I didn't know what it was. I have never payed any attention to that record before. I think its fine because it seems to be part of the Record header rather than an actual record. I believe it does not matter but I have no actual knowledge on the matter. I saw Skyrim.esm have Form Version 40 but the few plugins that I had checked had Form Version 43. Its probably a Creation Kit thing.
  8. Phazer11, in the guide neo has an older version of RS, which used to be compatible with elfx...
  9. Violens has a cdo patch (possibly scripts only) Indigo may miss some dialogues with eff but I am unsure There might be other mods in ego that you may not like. I would say use the ones you want the most. The reason I say this is because iio doesn't work with enb, multi card or both... Fio in the past murders papyrus. It's supposedly fixed. That and some patching here and there. Mostly merging individual records. Some one also said place VIolens after dco. I can confirm nor deny this. I think that's all but I may have missed something. I think it's best to use the betas but you'll have to decide that. On a side note, I hate it when mod authors hide their files. It's okay for a few hours while the page is being updated but seriously, it's still going on, that's absurd because it can wreak install guides.
  10. NO dont do that terrible idea Um, it could definitely be VRAM... You have 2GB, I have 2GB and I was watching my VRAM peak in some areas to about max but that could be me... Ah, in enblocal.in this caused massive stutter for me. why? I don't know. EnableCompression=false
  11. uhh... okay nVidia Control Panel-> Manage 3d settings -> Program Settings tab Drop down or add Skyrim (TESV.exe) Find: Maximum pre-rendered frames In the settings column click the drop down menu select 1 You individually set any settings there that will only affect skyrim (TESV.exe) Can you still add pics of FNIS after you run it.
  12. I thinks its better to resurrect a thread rather than create a new one because history and previous testings. Hmm, basically the same as DSR in almost every aspect. You'll download and installing AV and several (or however many you want) AV packages. After doing so, I start AV through MO and look through all the files and disable any textures I don't like and ones that don't display. I don't know if the textures are bugged or something but some textures refuse to display in the image preview thing. Is it bad, I don't know... I hate the odd purple textures that are added by some packages. Last, close the program or click patch. There was a problem with the old versions so I don't know if its still around but the mod esp will break because it can't properly check to see if it needs updating. So always check the little box in the corner next to the cancel button. The side effect is purple animals... Which means missing textures Does this answer your question?
  13. I had a similar effect and it was a program that was up. Kill the java and any other applications in the taskmanager that you might have run in MO, those can stick around Its been said to NEVER run MO as admin period. I know right, its a thing, I always thought that admin was to fix applications that don't have permissions. I guess its because of the whole virtual filesystem thing As for enb do what GSDFan said and if it works try putting it back and disabling these line in EnbLocal.ini: ExpandSystemMemoryX64=falseReduceSystemMemoryUsage=falseDisableDriverMemoryManager=falseDisablePreloadToVRAM=falseEnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=falseEnableCompression=falseAutodetectVideoMemorySize=falseSometimes with different SSME values there can be an issue with enbs ExpandSystemMemoryX64 being enabled I don't believe the type of ENB would matter unless the author messes up pretty bad but even then I think ENB puts default values
  14. Okay, I'll add it to the list but I think it can get mixed up with STEP.
  15. Ok for the lag thing: First, I don't have nVidia so going off memory. Some times ENB Vsync can do it but not to a high extent. In nVidia CC, triple buffering I believe is the same thing. you saying you can get 250FPS is actually bad for skyrim because the physics engine is FPS sensitive and so it can wig out, without vsync. Turn down the buffered frame count to 1 or 0. The higher the buffered frames the larger the input lag is. If you want just a basic Vsync to keep the physics engine happy, use normal forced vsync or use the Skyrim vsync (iPresetMaxinterval=1?)... If the Vsync is still bugging you you can just disable all Vsync and use a FPS Limter set to 60 for "it triggers massive nausea and eventually a migraine" I can understand, its a thing some people get. Try cranking up the fov to something pretty high. 90+ but it fill have a fisheye look to it. I personally like it and have it at 100. Personally, I use the fov XX console command OR add a few lines to Unoffical Skyrim Patch.ini. (or however it is spelled) The performance difference between Ultra and high is really significant but I think the difference is the iMaxShadowResolution=2048 verse 4096 Its a pretty large hit like several frames to just a better feeling. Yes, games can have a feeling to them.
  16. Show me pics a fins running please? With the other mods to
  17. Okay, I believe I will start editing the Oblivion Guide again this Friday and Saturday. I am usually in the unofficial STEP chat with a few other people. --Yes, its unofficial All you need to do is register your nickname (It should be the name you use on here) on rizon and then "/join #S.T.E.P.--(Unofficial)--Chatroom" without quotes Plus if anyone willing to more/less "Alpha" and "Beta" test the guide after I get it to a more complete Guide together. Just PM me and I'll ask some stuff, no biggie. Last, I also definitely need to come up with a better Title than The Complete Oblivion Modding Guide because its a terrible title. Here are some titles that I have received: Any and all help/suggestions are welcome Guide location https://wiki.step-pro...p/OblivionGuide
  18. Look for redirishlord posts in previous pages... He has a list somewhere I remember on patch that also had new records that kept breaking (IM aural assortment CCO patch) I think it was. It would break unless: all the masters were before all the plugins, regardless of master requirement RenumberIDs was off this was right after 1.65 came out The references would look fine until you add any plugin before the merge. Then everything would break. honestly, I don't know why it happened but it did and it happened every time This is when I was playing around with it early on so I had little understanding of it. Things may be different now.
  19. Don't get me wrong, mo is great for some games like skyrim but oblivion is interesting because there are so many different types of packaging types. Omod, exe, wizard are the archive and installers that don't work with mo. Yes, there are way around it but only if you know what you need and know the precise install order. There are definitely perk to MO but wrye bash is way easier to manage when lo is constantly changing... Like unique landscapes... The wizard makes it in credibly easy but mo doesn't natively support it... Which is a huge problem for me because have to try all the possibilities for the guide that need different attention. In wrye bash check/uncheck a few boxes then anneal and it's all good. Mo is a different story because it's quite a long process. Some tools that are going to be used later may take several minutes to several hours. Mo wouldn't be able to handle that. Mo takes about 2.5x longer on a few mods (dlc)... It may take longer. This can go on but it's off topic and is definitely a personal choice because the guide so far is sticking with it and I also go out of my way to avoid band wagons.
  20. I don't believe this is the correct place for suggestions.Locate tannin's bug genie site for mod organizer. Make a post there under feature or enhancement. This part of the forum is for support and troubleshooting for mod organizer, not suggestions. EDIT: ty phazer11, I was on my phone and links are a hassle...
  21. For me it doesn't matter. I am unlikely ever going to switch to MO, including the guide.
  22. I was talking with Soire and she said there isn't an issue if the mods are manually installed in the actual Oblivion/Data/obse/plugins folder I never tired it...
  23. wait... What was it? I am curious What it a pseudo effect? or actual?
  24. Oh dang there more to it than I originally intended it may take awhile to get back to you... Its outdated on info and I don't have perms to change stuff for that pack. If you pick ones you like... I'll take a quick peak to see if there is anything severe
