SKYRIMLE WAO - Weather and Ambience Overhaul Megapatch (by UnmeiX)
hishutup replied to deadbody's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Ever since this was released I have been keeping my eye on it. It saves me a lot of time when patching. -

thank you, I kind of don't know what to think. It appears that this was dropped on to everyone and it also seems that s4n is not going to change him mind. Inline css is definitely not something that I want to deal with... I did that when my guide was tiny and it was a massive pain and never looked right. Then someone mentions the css and all my worries were gone. I could apply my css to what ever I wanted to and I edit all the pages css by editing hte one page. There are several things wrong with the wiki whether it be issues, limitations, compatibility I would have never guessed that the css feature would be removed because it is amazing. I will be open to other options but the css has proven its flexibility WAY beyond expectation. Do any of the other guide writers know about this? -

If someone remembers the link, where to look or the pm conversation can you share or add me so I can take a look through it? -
pack A Real Explorer's Guide to Skyrim

Going back to the discussion of WAO, I am currently working on a section over on the weather and lighting pack. I thought maybe a few of you would be interested. -

Even though it is off topic, what exactly do you mean by abuse? Is what tech said abusing it? I would call it a temporary workaround because something unexpected changed without me knowing. I don't know about you but I was expecting more freedom and features in the future rather than restrictions and losing widely used features. -
I would tend to agree if it is similar to the graybeard calling thing but like I said, never used it.

I completely dislike and upset by that. So, I have to use a mix of html and css to make my guide look the way it is? Is every wiki page going to look the same because I am not okay with that. -

doubleyou already gave that a shot and I guess it didn't do anything because he didnt mention it Tech, I dont think anyone has the perms other than full admins. I am unsure why moderators and up don't have the perms though. If you feel like going through the effort then put it on a regular wiki page and I'll just copy/paste it. There is no rush though. -
Earthquakes is a mod that adds earthquakes to skyrim. I have never used it but I remember this mod from around the time that it was released. There are a few variants in the files section on the nexus such as: * Earthquakes * Earthquakes - MCM Version * Earthquakes - MCM Version - With moving object * Earthquakes - With moving object
-
Like I said, after I edited it, I couldn't decide if it was from the author or not...
-
Sounds of Skyrim - MCM ever since this mod was released I have kept my eye on it. The normal old dialogue boxes are annoying at the best of times and take quiet a bit of time when testing different things. In short this mod removes the old dialogue boxes and replaces it with a fully functional mcm menu.

I understand that it is abnormal and would expect something strange to happen but the reason that I did bring it up is because it wasn't like that before. Its a fairly new effect. I took a glance at the .css and there wasn't any changes that were made to the h5. Is there a better way to have the same effect or is it kinda stuck the way it is? I think I can figure out a way to make the link disappear but it would be kinda hackish. I see that multiple people have attempted to make the annoying line go away and it didn't matter. Man those lines like my guide, what more can I say. -
pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
hishutup replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
WAO does a lot of the major patching but there are a few mods that I am going to add to the mix. I am reinstalling everything so its going to take a little but Ill make a new section called WAO - weather... you know the rest. If we are only talking about STEP stuff then there isnt much patching but I'll include a SRLE mods... such as the relighting Skyrim, ELFX and ELE. People should be able to figure out a good place in their RELE install if they do want to use the mod. WAO doesnt just patch the mods but rather make small adjustments if needed. I think any ENB that is for pure weather and COT should be compatible but like I said, I think. There would need to be some edits made to the weathers.ini if users wanted to use something other than the standard vividian. Personally, I am not going to offer any patching other than the mods I use (I know I'm selfish but w/e) and STEP stuff. I am not going to handle requiem stuff because that is not a mod that I use, it's not out of the question but still, no promises. STEP and modular setups do not go well together when a pack tries to do it. That is the reason I based my guide solely on one page and convinced dreadflopp to drop some modular parts. The whole pack because a high maintenance mess. Ill poke in for a while do my part and then probably leave, it depends on how I feel, I tend to jump around quite a bit. I may have said this somewhere but the kind of patching that this pack requires is really easy. Its mostly make Tes5Edit look green and you should be good to go but that isn't 100% the case all of the time. I am pretty confident in getting it down to two plugins. ClimatesofTamriel.esm and the weather merge should be all that is needed. -
all of them are recommended by loot but did not appear in Wryebash. That is the purpose of that list.

pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
hishutup replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
I was going to include SoS and the WAO weather patch... I was also going to give merging instructions so that the plugin count can be reduced to something less than 5. It may be possible to get is down to 2 -
TES4LL and MPGUI doesn't work with MO

Can you move the discussion of tes4ll to the mod topic as that the current discussion is no longer related to the topic title. Here is a link if you unsure of what I am saying. -
GUIDE Skyrim Installation Guide
hishutup replied to frihyland's topic in Unofficial Skyrim LE Guides
I think that it is a soft requirement rather than a hard one. I don't see how 256MB would break the bank. That being said, I don't know anyone that isn't running a 64bit OS anymore or anyone that has less than 8GB or RAM. -
If your game is heavily modded then it will go over 255MB. My current install is up in the 350MB range. Without this patch I would ctd immediately. I'll up date the 2nd post with some extra info. EDIT: I wouldnt say that ENBoost is a requirement nor a 64bit os because that isnt a requirement that applies to the memory blocks log but rather the actual memory patch and a stable game. I however did mention this at the top: "For the Memory Patch 3.0 or SSME to be effective you must have a 64 bit OS and have more than 4GB of RAM."

pack Weather and Lighting (by Smile44)
hishutup replied to Smile44's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Hmm, I remember this pack from awhile back and I think I may have a few ideas that you may be interested in. First of all how do you feel about different paths. Like a cot section, pure weathers section and a merged section. Also, I think I may be able to assist in adding merging instructions to greatly reduce the plugin count. Do mind if I give some new things a shot or would you like me to explain it out here? -
I think most work just fine... You may need to add the esp to the perma blocklist if the patcher throws a fit I was working with duel and a few other scripted combat mods, the patcher didn't seem to care
-
well, I came across Mystery Modder's file... This link will likely break but here you go. A simple search works I updated the mod page with the new link EDIT: I gave the page another look and I can't decide if it is from the author or not.

Should dawnguard.esm still be cleaned twice?
hishutup replied to Satur9's question in General Skyrim LE Support
You can try to clean twice but there shouldn't be any difference. Personally, I would say leave but there may be other that will argue differently. I'm sure that someone will come around and say to redo it on a new file. -
you can do it but its frowned upon... The game is cheaper in that region because over there $60 is not the same as over here in the states. I think it is illegal to a small degree but I don't have any basis to support that claim.
