Plugin Count May Matter (More)
WilliamImm replied to Neovalen's topic in General Skyrim LE Discussion & Support
Heh. Good thing that there are easy scripts to combine mods. Better start combining the simpler mods together... -
I'll probally drop the merged fix next release. Reason being, a) string files do not work properly with merged mods and b) there's automatic scripts for merging mods anyway in TES5Edit, so keeping a merged version isn't justified. Along with that, I'll update the fixes to the 2.0 unofficial patches + add patches for the new Thieves Guild Requirements and Timing is Everything. I'll try to time it within the actual relase of the 2.0 unofficial patches.

What would you do with an old PC like this?
WilliamImm replied to DanielCoffey's topic in Step Banter Inn
Honestly, recycle it. Services for it exist. The input devices, the monitor, and maybe even the case can be kept for future needs. You can pass it off as is, but see they will agree to a new custom-built computer, and if so, the needs/wants and budget for it. PC Part Picker would help a lot in that respect. -
Kia ora? What does that even frikken mean?

Companions (and Werewolves)
WilliamImm replied to WilliamImm's topic in Step Skyrim LE Packs (retired)
Well, I've got at least some of it done, through I am looking for a lot more feedback about making both packs. -
I actually use a pair of Monoprice headphones - they do the job quite nicely. And they are quite affordable too.

Skyrim hang when using MO to launch SKSE with ENB configured
WilliamImm replied to steveley's question in Mod Organizer Support
If you have Virtu MVP or similar running, disable it. That interferes with ENB operation. Also, try updating your graphics drivers - the sun issue that the 320x drives used to have with ENB is fixed now. -
I could update it, but since WAF overwrites many weapon/armor records, and because of the author's recommendation, the mod needs to load around the DLC fixes. This is done so that mods that change select weapons actually work properly, and are not overwritten by WAF. Not going to change unless there's a compelling reason to do so.
-
The notes have been further corrected - the Guard Dialog Overhaul patch is needed because BOSS sorts WAF before GDO, and without said patch, GDO will overwrite WAF's changes.

DROPPED Enhanced Projectile Soul Trap (by William Imm)
WilliamImm replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I haven't asked the USKP team about this fix yet. I'll do it soon, but I'm pretty sure it's something along the lines of my mod. -
DROPPED Enhanced Projectile Soul Trap (by William Imm)
WilliamImm replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
If you use Acquistive Soul Gems, this mod is still needed because ASG does not include a fix for the projectile. At least not yet. -
I would have thought that the author had brought this up to the unofficial patch team - maybe he did, but it got turned down for some reason.

ACCEPTED Audio Overhaul for Skyrim (by David Jegutidse)
WilliamImm replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Interesting. I'd like to see this in conjuntion with Sounds of Skyrim - for the ultimate immersive sound experience. -
...wait, Acquisitive Soul Gems or Enhanced Projectile Soul Trap? Does the author not realize that EPSG is a addon to ASG, and is not meant to replace it?

SKYRIMLE Hold Border Banners by Thicketford
WilliamImm replied to rootsrat's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
By mistake, one thinks? Unstuck. -
Nice. If anything, I'll offer to do the BAIN wizard to go along with Sparrow's FOMOD installer.

...so, Iran may be acquiring nukes, Syria has a bloody civil war, and the thing the GOP is most passionate about is repealing the Affordable Healthcare Act, to the point that the government is in hibernation? I sense skewed priorities...

Pack implementation (or what is currently made) here. Since I have done a partial Companions playthough, I could at least provide some mod ideas for Companions. And, well, some for the Werewolf pack. Firstly, here are the ones I've used: Enhanced Skyrim Factions: The Companions Guild - Essential for anyone looking to do a Companions playthough, it improves immersion greatly. Enhanced Skyrim Followers - Aela the Huntress - From the same author as the above mod. Didn't get far enough in the questline to be able to recruit her, but still, worth a look. I've also used Dreogan's Skyforge Weapons and Skyforge Shields, though I'm wondering if those should be used instead of the aMidianborn versions. And for the Werewolf pack: Moonlight Tales - Damn, every werewolf pack needs to have this mod, it's so complete and so comprehensive. Disable the aftermath re-equipper if using Dual Sheath Redux, as using both together can cause the "stuck shield" problem. Werewolf Mastery - A great companion mod with Moonlight Tales. Adds new perks, and allows you to customize your werewolf character to your liking (including having it properly scale). Some issues with ESF: Companions, but they can be worked around. There are two other werewolf perk mods I know of, namely, Werewolf Perks Expanded and Bloodmoon Rising, but I can't vouch for either because I've never used them. The former mod I may try next time I do a werewolf playthough, instead of Werewolf Mastery. But, maybe not (I love Werewolf Mastery's little features, like allowing you to revert back to human form without waiting and allowing you to feed on animals instead of just humans) Heart of the Beast - A werewolf sound overhaul. Moonlight Tales has the new textures from this mod... but, not the sounds. You get the alpha werewolf sounds from this mod, no question. Let's face it, it's a ton more satisfying to use these sounds (and a ton more horrifying if you are on the other end of a werebeast). Predator Vision - Vanilla nightvision sucks. Probably would be shared with both the vampire and the Khajiiti packs (as both use night eye as well). If you have any other mods that you use relating to either the Companions or werewolves, please share.

I used to use AMD, but I went to a Nvidia card in a heartbeat.

SKYRIMLE UFO - Ultimate Follower Overhaul
WilliamImm replied to Ichigo2012's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
My recommendation goes to Extensible Follower Framework instead, since it's non intrusive, works with a lot of popular mods (Convient Horses, Moonlight Tales, natch) and custom followers (as long as they are in the PotentialFollower or PotentialHireling factions, which all should be) work fine with it. Serena and Cireco isn't affected, but that's because expired doesn't want to mess with quest-related followers. -
SKYRIMLE Lush Trees and Grass by SparrowPrince
WilliamImm replied to DoYouEvenModBro's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
The mod actually used to be in STEP (as Lush Trees), but was dropped after making the trees look silly. Don't know if that's still true - I use Grass on Steroids for my grass.
