Wrye Bash lacking wizards where NMM has them
WilliamImm replied to gajop's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Mod Organizer definitely supports FOMOD installers, and will install about any mod that uses them correctly. Sent from my LG-E970 using Tapatalk 2 -
The Elder Scrolls Anthology revealed

...even through I make a lot of installers (Bash mostly, a few NMM/Fomod) for Skyrim. Then again, a lot of Skyrim modders are new to modding in general... -
ACCEPTED Weapon and Armor Fixes (by kryptopyr)

I would include it in my curent game (do agree that it should be added). Gonna add that to the BOSS masterlist really quickly. -

Thanks for the links. I'll keep those in mind. Tamriel Rebuilt has been recommended a lot... so maybe I might end up installing that. Agree with the rest of your recommendations, through. Got Morrowind Overhaul already - when I was first fiddling around with the game. -
Skyrim Revisited Pre-Release Feedback
WilliamImm replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
That should be fixed in the guide now that I've notified Neovalen about it. -
[Rewarding Steam Game] 100% Working S.T.E.P via TeamViewer
WilliamImm replied to lukeyboy89's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Just one question - What mod manager are you using? If it's NMM, ditch the whole installation and start using another mod manager (Mod Organizer preferred), NMM really isn't that good of a mod manager. (Title slightly shortened due to limitations) -

I got Morrowind for $5 too on a sale. Think it was last Christmas. We have it for the XBox, but I think I was too young at the time to really understand it. Now, if I can only set apart some time away from Skyrim and the millions of other games I own, I'll run though it. Any recommendations for mods? -

Well, you would survive well if you were somehow time travel'd back to the classical times... you'd be a cunning linguist. -

[video=youtube] (WARING: NOT SCARY AT ALL) From the Retsupurae channel, a horrible Elder Scrolls: Oblvion creepypasta gets a dramatic reading, and gets torn apart as well. (Also, getting games in under an hour is not impressive, Mr. Marty Stu Super Hacker. And why would you ask Geek Squad if you had super hacker skills?) Retsupurae's channel has done readings/commentary on bad creepypasta - look at the "Crappy Pasta" videos on the channel for more.

I'm loving it. The only things that I don't like are the rocks in the 4th compare, Beauty of Skyrim looks the best (not streched and horrible), and the jarring looking (to me) unchanged cave rock - it juts out. Then again, we can use Beauty's mesh and textures that fix the horrible stretching for the rocks, and ask CaBaL to cover that untouched cave texture. -
His review of Skyrim, like I've said in the post.

Agree with roots and Sparrow that the new fur simulation is quite cool looking. @Sparrow - I liked the first Despicable Me, and I do quite like watching Pixar films too. As for why exactly I don't like the Khajiit retexture... ugh... it looks gaudy, and sticks out like a sore thumb when placed against the art style of Skyrim. In fact, they really don't transision well with other textures, shown in this image, and this user submitted one. In fact, the screenshots made by the author look really crappy - like this one, which looks like a badly done Photoshop, and this doesn't even look like it was from Skyrim. If anything, it looks more like WoW concept art. When even the author fails to make them look good, then it's not likely for it to be a quality mod. Then again, this is OT, as we are talking about another texture replacer.
-
Well, it would be helpful to do comparisons, but they are not required.
-
You know, I was kinda expecting you to put an actual screenshot (comparison preferred), not a random reference to some children's film that nobody will bother watching. Also, don't really like it. It seems more a "cutification" mod than anything realistic. The current mod included in STEP looks better. Is the author so sensitive to criticism that he/she disabled all forms of commenting on the mod, or what? But, at the very least, it's better than this Khajiit texture replacer which is most definitely not going into STEP. Then again, that could be damning by faint praise. Why exactly is that a hot file, again? (Yes, I do know which film you are referencing, because I have seen it. The sequel was really disappointing though.)

wanted Installing ASIS and SkyRe with some additional stuff
WilliamImm replied to Iroha's topic in Skyrim Revisited (retired)
You can move SUM.esp from the MO override directory to the data directory temporary so that Wrye Bash can change the master properly. After doing so, delete the copy of SUM.esp in the data folder. Then again, qotsafan's latest patches integrate all of Balbor's non-replacer ESPs, so if you use them, you don't even have to bother with changing the master. -
or, to borrow a quote from Yahtzee's review of Skyrim:

ACCEPTED Enhanced Skyrim Factions - Companions Guild (by DreamKing)
WilliamImm replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I've been using it too, along with ESF: Aela, both of the werewolf mods and Dreogan's Skyforge related mods. This really is worth it, especially since the author was very nice and incorporated the EBQO-improved objectives into his mod. If you are going to be in the Companions, get all those mods. However, if you don't care about upgrading your Skyforge weapons later on, you can use the new aMidianborn Skyforge weapon retextures (which adds a few new weapons to the Skyforge, as well as a snazzy looking shield). Not really core STEP material, but would be really good for a Companions overhaul pack. -
PondFish and Salmon Replacer (by Nexus79)
WilliamImm replied to ControlledChaos's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Looking really great. The only thing I don't like about it is the salmon (let HQ Food and Ingredients overwrite this mod), but other than that, it's well worth the addition. And it blends in to the vanilla game nicely, unlike another retexture mod that is making the hot files. And isn't Amidianborn caves. -
The Elder Scrolls Anthology revealed
WilliamImm replied to rootsrat's topic in General Game Discussion
....While it does look attractive, I kinda already have all 5 Elder Scrolls titles (Arena and Daggerfall I could get for free legally from Beth themselves, the rest were on sale at Steam), with all expansions (Morrowind and Oblivion were the GOTY editions, I bought the expansions for Skyrim as I went along). And besides, if it's an anthology for serious fans, you might want to include some of the more obscure games (I'm looking right at ya, Battlespire and Redguard!) Might be nice to own phsical maps of Tamriel and the major reigns. In fact, I believe my older brother once had a map of Morrowind (that came with the Morooiwnd GOTY port for the Xbox, what a trainwreck that was). I don't know where it went, but if I can find it, it's going to be hanging up in my room. Still, $80 for CD copies of all games with all addons and some maps? That's actually a bit of a steal, espically considering how expensive collectors editions actually get. -

Yes, they are compatbile. I leave the exterior lighting at default. I use Unreal Cinema ENB, your results may vary if you use another ENB. -

..and then I deleted the Beauty of Skyrim thread by mistake. Techangel apparently moved thelastwon's OP from the Hectrol thread to the Beauty of Skyrim thread, which made it the OP instead of mine for some reason, so I attempted to delete by deleting the false OP - which deleted the whole thread again for some reason. Techangel, check to see if the post you are trying to move was made before the OP of the new thread - if it is, it will just screw up the ordering of the new thread. -
Yea... the eyes look like they were plucked out of some random anime. Let's hope that doesn't discourage people from trying the fangs out for size... maybe...
