SKYRIMLE Amazing Follower Tweaks (by Dheuster)
WilliamImm replied to Noobsayer's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'll also note that AFT seems to block Dual Sheath Redux's scripts, leading to the "sticky shield problem" on your follower. At least, that's what I gathered from the comments of DSR. -
Probably a mix of both. Not exactly sure what he uses - I have, however, heard that the Dragonborn patch for Requiem doesn't always like to go through SkyProc patches - I'll try it out myself and see how it can be fixed, if at all.

That's true - 320 GB reg. and 90 GB SSD would practically be nothing by 2013. Also, if you are going to shell out money for a 250 GB SSD, get one that has read/write speeds of over half a gigabyte/second. Must say, don't regret getting the 840 Pro over the M500 now...
-
Yea, you can't actually put the Correctif ESPs right after the unofficial patches, unless they were also false-flagged. Might actually be a good idea to remind the creators of that to do so in the future.

I received $515 total from Christmas - adding that to my leftover $130 from my nov. Birthday money, I got $645 total. I decided to spend the cash on a new SSD and a new hard drive - specifically, a Samsung 840 Pro 256 GB (around $212) and a 3TB Seagate hard drive (around $140). Man, can't wait for when those will arrive.
-
Thanks for showing me that, Ess. Couldn't hurt. Valve's games (when they are released) are always good.

I got lots and lots of monetary gifts. Planning on getting a 256 GB SSD and a 3TB hard drive together with the money.

SKYRIMLE House of Horrors Alternate Ending (by Kevin Kidder/sushisquid)
WilliamImm replied to WilliamImm's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
Yes, the alternate ending will not count towards the Oblivion Walker achievement, and you can't get it back after the ending, since the mace just fizzles out of existence (at least until Molag finds a willing vic^H^H^H"champion"). Not sure about if it will affect usage of the house afterwards, only know about this mod from the description. Along the same lines, there are alternate solution options for two other Daedric quests. Here's one for Boethiah, and one for Namira. Both are by a different author, but they are in the same vein - Boethiah's lets you avoid sacrificing a friend, and Namira's... you basically shanghai him/her by creating a fake version of the priest that you are supposed to sacrifice (and a alternate reward to boot). Looks like that warrants some form of a compilation... -
Mod Link This adds an option to spare the captive priest of Boethiah during Molag Bal's daedric quest instead of killing him. In the vanilla game, this is a hard quest to RP properly if you are a good character, because there's no justification for why you'd HAVE to kill the priest of Bolethiah (unlike the poor Vigilant). To trigger the alternate ending, when Molag asks you to kill the priest with the rusty mace, drop it instead. This automatically ends the quest and lets the priest escape, but for defying a powerful Daedric entity, you get cursed with 50% weakness to fire and no divine blessings. To remove that effect, you will have to go to a Shrine of Stendarr, which will also give you a minor boon when fighting daedra. I haven't checked if this has any ESP conflicts (it'll most likely conflict with Even Better Quest Objectives, maybe The Choice is Yours), but this looks like a really good mod. Scriptwise, it conflicts with one of EBQO's modified scripts (I'd have to make a merged script later), but not with The Choice is Yours. This may actually be a good mod to integrate directly into The Choice is Yours (if both authors are willing), now that I think of it.

I admit, that is the major stumbling block for the free software movement. If there isn't a satisfying solution, no business would adopt it. However, there are solutions for this. Probably the best for general software (games excluded) is Red Hat's. Each and every one of their software has a free software counterpart (Fedora to RHEL, WildFly to JBoss Enterprise Server, etc.) - but, while the software between the two versions is essentially the same, you are paying for professional-level support, maintenance, and other such goodies. They also use a subscription based model, so that they are able to get consistent income that they can use to further develop free software projects. This should at least fix the income problem for free software-based companies. For games, however, a different approach would be required. Subscriptions for games don't work (unless the game is a MMO). Instead, I'd look more towards what I'd like to term "neo-Shareware". Like the old Shareware busisness model (and what the current game market seems to be heading back towards), the first part of the game will be free, but the rest of the content you'd have to pay for. The difference: the engine of the game will be released as free software along with the actual game. That way, game companies will still get money, but it will let people play around with the internal engine. Plus, as a side bonus, it may actually reduce piracy.

Nope, doesn't work. Redirects to some domain name page or other. I'm wondering why that is. While this is interesting technically, I don't think it's a complete replacement for sticking some Linux distro on your system. More of a novelty than anything.

...what? I know that gender equality is a good thing to enforce, but you do that via equal pay, equal benefits, and similar. Forcing companies to have a almost-equal female/male ratio is NOT how you go about this, especially when you consider fields that, by their very nature, will have much more males than females. If that was passed, businesses everywhere would have to skip out on many potentially bright recruits because if they don't maintain a nearly equal ratio, they will get shut down. If the law was for enforcing things that WOULD actually make females and males equal (pay, general benefits, no sexist remarks), then it would have been a good idea. As for torrents, while I don't really condone piracy (and the excuse of doing so for "demoing the game" - there's a reason why most companies offer legal demos themselves), a lot of people used those same sites to share completely legal stuff (there's even a site called LegalTorrents.com, which hosts, well, guess). Shutting down those sites will also shut down the users who share 100% legal content on the sites as collateral damage. Plus, most of the real action happens on private torrent sites, anyway.

Link doesn't work for me.

I can tell you already that you didn't install the Skeleton correctly by the image. Reinstall XP32 Max Skeleton and try again.

Legendary Edition - must install via Steam?
WilliamImm replied to mtar925's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Skyrim, even the official disk versions, require you to register the game with Steam; That's just how it is. If you end up getting a version that does not require Steam for some reason, then it's a pirated version, and you'll get called out on it (and banned) if they find out you are using one of those unofficial versions. Since at this point, many mods (and STEP) will assume you have all three DLCs installed. For some reason, they are not on the DVD itself (prob. because, techinally, they are no different from actual mods), so that will have to be downloaded via Steam. Get the high-res texture pack too, it's certainly worth it. -
Mmm. I'm seriously considering a gameplay improvement pack that would include this mod and SPERG for sure. Want something that keeps the feel of the vanilla game, but at the same time, is a refreshing change and gets rid of the weak spots the orig. game had. Sent from my Optimus G using Tapatalk
-
I was going to ask why the SPERG plugin had so many bad references. Well, guess they were just mistakes.
-
A SPERG edition? That just makes me even more interested in trying out the mod! Thank you, thank you, thank you! EDIT: This looks like one mods that would warrent a BAIN conversion - the archive is not packed correctly for that. I'll see about doing so once my computer is active again.

CTD After a while and Textures Pink

Then consider moving to America or something, I don't know. At least they didn't block those sites. For now, at least.Â

ACCEPTED HD Enhanced Terrain (by Hritik Vaishnav)
WilliamImm replied to Neovalen's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I'd love to do one, but computer being out and all that... -
You are welcome. And here's another question: I've noticed that prod80 recommende both of the Lorkhans Vision mods (Galaxy and Moons). Would you recommend using both with Skylight, and if so, what version? I'm pretty sure you would, but it doesn't hurt to ask anyway.

I'll fix up BOSS's load order regarding ELE soon (to match JawZ's recommendations). For some reason, Mediafire is blocked by the school ISP, so I can't really examine the plugins up close. What I have done is deregexed the CoT patch plugins (so that the load order remains constant - I used Smile44's recommendations) and added the two Skylight-specific plugins to the masterlist. This should hopefully fix a lot of issues.

Fallout 1+2+Tactics Free
WilliamImm replied to EssArrBee's topic in General Fallout 3 Discussion & Support
Damn. That's a deal. I got F1+2 already, so I went ahead and added Tactics on there. Hey, it was free. Wondering when the D&D games sale will start - I'm sure they'll have one. -
As I said on the comments, seriously looks good. I'm itching to see SFO Regular support. Also wondering about TreesHD support, but the bark on Vurt's latest trees looks great enough (judging by your images) that THD may not be needed.
