  1. If you're only able to use 4GB RAM, that could very well be the issue. 4GB for modding is used up pretty fast. ENBoost should relieve this, but would require more RAM than 4GB if that is indeed the issue.
  2. Use the OP
  3. It's installed for my upcoming playthrough, so I'll be fully testing it out as well. Just waiting on my SSD to get here so I can get started.
  4. It's an alternative Guide that is based off STEP. It's actually quite nice, but much of its additions are beyond the scope of STEP which is why it exists. It's technically not officially affiliated with STEP in any way and is maintained by a single user (Neovalen). https://wiki.step-project.com/User:Neovalen/Skyrim_Revisited_-_Legendary_Edition While STEP's mandates keep the project inline with vanilla, SR:LE goes beyond vanilla and includes many more mods.
  5. That is unforeseen, but it shouldn't. The only reason v2.2.9.2 does is because of ICAIO and with it's latest update (v2.5+), it will no longer require new games for it's changes and updates to take effect. This is good new all the way around.
  6. Latest version of STEP (v2.2.9.2) requires a new game.
  7. It will not be getting any easier to install STEP. v2.10.0 will simply be a mod update release. It'll likely be a few months away.
  8. New USLEEP version out. Small update. I don't see anything that would really require patching with the STEP Patches.
  9. Leaving out DynDOLOD might help. A note on the 2gb VRAM requirement. We'll be changing that to be more specific next release. You really need a card in the 500 (maybe 600) series or newer to run STEP smoothly.
  10. There's more to the story and it's his right, but I do agree modding should be about sharing and collaboration. All my works are free to use as long as credit is given and this is how STEP is driven.
  11. No, not the Combined Patches. Just the Core and Extended Patches.
  12. The new version that the team is working on will take a long while.
  13. STEP Patches has the CRF patch integrated. It's just not completely updated to the latest patch. It will be in a couple of days.
  14. Ah, so this is for the candle LOD option in the Advanced section? I actually I'm planning on using that for testing for possible inclusion in STEP. I should probably install the script then. On that advanced note, how complete do you consider your window glow LOD option? I've been curious about testing it out, as well.
  15. Okay, cool. What about the LoS compatibility I asked about above?
  16. Looks like something is causing your GPU load to drop to 0 and then ramp up again and is repeating this pattern. This would most likely be something running that is interfering with ENBoost's processes.
  17. Looks like he's simply applied some threaded optimizations. He doesn't explain the individual settings. If you've not had issue with ENBoost in the past, I wouldn't change anything.
  18. First, some users (like myself) who have the VRAM available can play without ENBoost, but we don't recommended it. I have 4GB VRAM. Second, remove the ENB manager from the equation. These have caused issues in the past and manually managing ENB files is not hard once you learn what the files are. Third, cut your "ReservedMemorySizeMb" in half to 256 to see if that helps; set "InitProxyFunctions=true" to "false". Also, make sure you're not hitting "Shift+B" which enables Brute Force and will bring your system to its knees.
  19. Links updated. As for the LoS bit, I saw that too but there's not enough information there to actually tell anyone what that does. I'll ask Sheson about it.
  20. We should be pointing to whatever is required by DynDOLOD. I'll update the links now.
  21. What exactly does the highlighted part above mean? It seems to be contradicting your "download and use FO4Edit" statement. Also, what is the new Lanterns of Skyrim compatibly for and what does it do? The information in the manual is a bit lacking on what it actually does besides "switching LOD on/off". What LOD? Lanterns along the roads? Candle LOD for the added lanterns along roads and cities? ...it's not clear what this is for. I'm asking because STEP doesn't use the lanterns along the roads options so if that's all it's for then we can safely ignore it.
  22. Looks like several mods are getting updated. Usually happens after UP releases.
  23. No trouble. It's the nature of modding.[emoji106]
  24. At most, there might be some redundancies since all he did some forward some changes from other mods. We don't use his CRF patch anyway so that's would not be an issue. Nothing that will break anything.
  25. Any existing save anywhere regardless of where it's at could be an issue since some things are initialized at the game start before you even see the opening cart ride. Just an FYI.
