I would just ask this, before I tried it and potentially messed something up. Should the REGS patch be downloaded if I only handpicked some of the mods(and didn't use this guide as a "Pack"? I downloaded the Thalmor quest mods and "Amber Guard" and "Granitehall" settlement mods. I also have "Hearthfires Chimneys"(from STEP:Extended) and "Cutting Room Floor"(from STEP:Extended) but not "Lanterns of Skyrim". -
I think I did something wrong. I didn't follow the instructions of the installation to the letter. I tried it the first time, and when I got into the game, the graphics was completly horrid. It was like all textures was 128x128. Anyway, a second time, I tried it by just putting the preset files in the enbseries folder, and turning off AmbientOcclusion and Reflection(I learned from a video form Gopher that those are two big FPS suckers in ENB). When I then started the game, I had, believe it or not, gained a FPS gain, at least in the areas outside Whiterun(I am standing there as I write this). The biggest thing I notice at the moment, is that it seems that lights have gone realistic, much like Realistic Lighting Overhaul or Enhanced Light and FX. And it there appears to be some more sharpness as well. Which is great! Back to the wrong part. While I certainly like what I've so far gained from this, it seems off that I would get a FPS gain instead of a FPS hit.

Well even a vanilla Skyrim can CTD, due to the nature of Skyrim. That's one thing I can think of. The other thing is that your save is corrupted due to not having started a fresh one, after you've completed setting up your mods. Although you didn't clearly state it, but due to the thoroughness of your report, you indicate that this is in fact a clean save, which would make this not possible. The only other thing I can think of is SkyUI. I once had CTD and lagging issue with SkyUI when I opened inventories and looted stuff. But if you have gone that long a time without a single CTD, and it isn't reproduceable, it's probably a random nonrecurring CTD. -

Hi all! So looking into different ENB presets, not all preset clutter the /common/Skyrim folder. For instance, I have been looking into(and soon trying out) Skylight ENB, by this forums very own Aiyen, which have only a few files. Another couple of ENB's I've looked into is Project ENB and True Vision ENB, which have a complete cluster**** of files, many of them being .txt documents. Now this kinda confuses me in case I would have to remove the ENB, due to not knowing which files to delete. An option would ofcause be to delete everything except for the Data folder, and then use Steam to get it back, but that takes time. So I was wondering if there is a way to not clutter this path completely. Like adding a dummy folder or something to that effect, to keep all the files neatly in one place. I don't know a lot about how system and programs access files, and as such, I don't know if this would be possible, but I kinda hope it would be. ~Sincerely Halde

I thought that one could not use an ENB preset, if ones enbseries version was different from the version, to which the present was made. Thank you!

What are "extreme" peformance options for this ENB? If attempting to use the Vanilla version, not using a lighting overhaul. And also, where can I find the 0.250 version of ENB? On the website, I can find version 0.261 and the one before that is listed as 0.236.

Hi all! I have a guy whom are naked in my current game. I can't remember his name, but it's the guy that is leaning on the beam outside of Belathor General Goods store in Whiterun. I read a thread on these forums, that after the release of 2.2.9, a common issue arose in which people in general were naked. The guided fix was the add bash tags Delev, Relev to aMidiaborn Content Addon. I did this, yet he is still naked(as he can be). It's not really an issue for me, but nevertheless it would be neat if it would go away. And furthermore, I thought it would be good to contribute this the staff in any case.

Try change the setting "ForceBorderlessFullscreen=" to "true". If what you are experiencing is what I think, this should fix it. This setting is in the enblocal.ini.

Having a somewhat minor problem with Elven Dagger(and what I presume is this mod). If duelwielding Elven Dagger(or perhaps just having an Elven Dagger in your left hand), instead of an Elven Dagger sheath, a Dwarven Dagger sheath will show instead(the are almost the same, but Elven Dagger have a curve, whereas Dwarven Daggers are symetrical). I suppose this could be a problem with Duel Sheath Redux. Just before I equipped the Elven Daggers, I had duel Steel Daggers equipped. They were both tempered to "Fine". When I then equipped the Elven Dagger in my right hand(the first one I got) and a Steel Dagger in my left hand, two Steal Daggers would be visible(I use the on-back-hip thing that STEP recommends), and when I drew my daggers, my right hand weapon(the Elven Dagger) would be invisible. When I dropped one of the Steel Daggers, it seemingly fixed it(but calling that a fix would be a stretch). But my current problem is that the left hand Elven Dagger sheath is a Dwarven Dagger sheath. Found something called "Green Water Fix" and I'm in the process of installing it now. Hope it helps. https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/14007/? Well this seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure I understand what the mods does, on the page it says something about DepthOfField, even though I thought that was an ENB feature. I can't see through the water surface from underwater though, but I can't remember if one can do that in the vanilla game or not.

Well the water is still broken. I disabled the .esp's, and the problem persisted through it...

Hmm well outside of STEP I have no mods that intefere with water. But I'll try that, see what happens. Although I think there is a perk in SPERG that affects waterbreathing, but I can't imagine that's an issue

I'm using ENBoost only. I have no preset installed and graphics is turned off in enblocal.ini.

Is it this mod that causes me to not be able to see underwater? My screen just turn blackish(I tried a console command called "setfog 0,0", that someone said would fix it, but it didn't, before this command, the screen was greenish), and I can see absolutely nothing on my screen. I have more or less always had this problem. I remember using a console command that turns water off(sadly I can't remember it anymore), that I once used everytime I needed to dive. But I don't know if that's still an option?

Can you tell me how to get Skyrim Performance Monitor(henceforth SPM) working with Mod Organizer? My Skyrim Main Game Path is TESV.exe and the Launcher Path is ModOrganizer.exe. However, when I launch Skyrim through Mod Organizer(through SKSE), the monitor ain't monitoring anything! I haven't been able to find answers on this. I posted this question in the thread on SPM in the section on Other Modding Utilities as well. -

I don't know if this is the casue, but your VideoMemorySizeMb should be "= ". There is not supposed to be a 0 there, although I don't know if that makes a difference. You should check out thie thread on enblocal.ini settings: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/4781-correct-enblocal-settings/ -
Ok. I have another issue with it though. Some enemies move in über slowmotion. I googled, and read that this might be due to SPERG. Someone said to add SPERG in the "AutomaticPerks.ini" would fix it. Would you know where in this enormous .ini files this should be added?

Hi! I can't get Skyrim Performance Monitor working with Mod Organizer. In the "Main Program File Path" I choose TESV.exe and in the "Launcher File Path" I choose ModOrganizer.exe, as per the description on the mod page. However, when I launch Skyrim through the SPM, it launches Mod Organizer, and when I then launch Skyrim(SKSE.exe through Mod Organizer) no graphs or nothing moves, nor can I see the FPS, GPU/CPU use etc. in-game. I read on the mod page, that the in-game Counter won't work with ENB(I use Boost only), but for me, the graph doesnt work either. Sincerely Halde
