What should I pump up in the .ini's then? I didn't have this issue before I dialed it down. -

Halde replied to Halde's question in General Skyrim LE Support
A video would have been optimal, since you can see how this thing move, but I simply don't know how to make one, so some screenshots have to make do. I also, after taking the screenshots, learned that it has nothing to do with my characters position, but the cameras position. Picture 2 and 4(in order) is the same, 4 being zoomed out. -

"Blocking" textures(especially in snow)

AF is set at x16 in the nvidia Inspector. In the Skyrimprefs.ini "iMaxAnisotropy=" is set at 1. And I doesn't seem to be a problem with AF. When AF is low, textures looks blurry, and you can't see a exactly where they are rendering proportional to your character. Here, I can litteraly see the blocky textures being removed instantly when I come close enough. And it's pretty darn close. Perhaps blocky is a bad word. Pixelated might fit better. -
I am certain that FNIS doesn't have a plugin. Installing FNIS is immensly simple. 0. Remove everything from your "Overwrite" folder, located at the bottom of the left pane of Mod Organizer. 1. Download it through Mod Organizer. 2. Install it through Mod Organizer. 3. Go into the "Modify Executables" tab in Mod Organizer. 4. Type "FNIS" in the "Title". 5. Click the "..." in the "Binary" tab and find your FNIS mod. It's installed in your Mod Organizer folder, wherever you installed Mod Organizer. From there, go into the "mods" folder, then into the "Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS" folder, then into the "tools" folder, then into the "GenerateFNIS_for_Users" folder and pick the "GenerateFNISforUsers.exe" file. In overview, the folder is "ModOrganzer/mods/Fores New Idles in Skyrim - FNIS/tools/GenerateFNIS_for_Users/ 6. Then you untick the box "Close MO when started". 7. Then you pick your newly created executable called "FNIS" in the dropdown menu in the topright of Mod Organizer. Hit "Run". 8. If you only use FNIS for STEP: Extended, then you tick the "SKELETON Arm Fix" and hit the big yellow "Update FNIS Behavior" button. (8b. If you use other FNIS mod, read their description page) 9. Go into your "Overwrite" at the very bottom of the left pane in Mod Organizer. Rightclick it, click "Create mod" and name the mod "FNIS Output". 10. Tick the mod in the left pane in Mod Organizer. And then forever leave FNIS alone unless you reinstall, or download another mod that require FNIS. https://wiki.step-project.com/Fores_New_Idles_in_Skyrim#Recommendations

Hi all! I have some textures, or something else, that's really blocky. When I get close to it, it disappear. It's like a field around me that renders normal looking textures, and outside of the field, the textures of most things are blocky. This is mainly noticeable in snow. It also carries along a slight tint, or shadow. I am fairly certain this does not happen if you have Skyrim set at Ultra, but it does happen if you have it at Medium/Low and perhaps even High. I honestly don't know what's causing this, but I hoped someone here could definitely(if there is a definit answer) tell me what the problem is. I messed around with the .ini's because when trying another preset from the Skyrim Launcher, Mod Organizer doesn't automatically use it. So I had to go through the .ini's(mainly Skyrimprefs.ini) and manually changed them so they matched, except for the things that are listed in the STEP guides. I did this as a way to get some FPS. ~Sincerely Halde

Boss fighting Mod Organizer for mod load order..
Halde replied to alocrius's question in General Skyrim LE Support
I think Mod Organizer only wants to change the installation order in the left pane, not the plugin order in the right pane? I stopped listening to it, if it is in fact the left pane we are talking about here. This feature seems quite bugged. The times I've tried to change the installation order, the warning didn't go away, so I've just assumed that it didn't and doesn't work. You would do yourself a favour by removing BOSS and use LOOT. It orders the list dynamically, and it is kept more up-to-date. There are a lot of plugins that BOSS doesn't recognize. -
Insanely low FPS after updating to Windows 8.1
Halde replied to Halde's question in General Skyrim LE Support
Well ModOrganzer.exe and skse_loader.exe was specifically set to use the integrated graphics, although I don't know if they matter, or if the SkyrimLauncher.exe and TESV.exe matters. Anyway I sat them all to use the GeForce one, though I don't have a chance of testing at the moment. -
Hi all! So I've always been reluctant to udate my computer to Windows 8.1, but nevertheless, I did update just a few minutes ago. I am now running an updated version of an already horrible system. So I went into my game. I have been wanting to see a true vanilla FPS, so I created a new profile and sat the preset in the launcher to "Medium", and ran the game through Mod Organizer. I then launched the game, and in the cart into sequence I had a measly ~10 FPS. I mean. Unmodded Skyrim with "Medium" preset, running 10 FPS. I checked enblocal.ini to see if I somehow managed to set the limit to 10 FPS, or if the update messed up the files. No such luck. It appears that my PC is now running unmodded Skyrim at 10 FPS. I honestly have no idea if there is a conflict between Windows 8.1 and Skyrim. I haven't tried reinstalling Skyrim, but I am not aware of any calibration done between the operating system and Skyrim. My specs are: GeForce GTX 760m 2GB VRAM i7-4702MQ 2.2Ghz 2.8 Turbo 8GB RAM Running on a 5400 RPM HDD Laptop PC. Now this makes absolutely no sense. Before I updated to Windows 8.1, I was running 25-35 FPS with a fully modded STEP:Extended plus a lot of non-STEP/STEP Pack gameplay mods, all textures except HiRes DLC was capped at 1k. Now I'm running 10 FPS unmodded with only "Medium" preset, with no HiRes DLC. I unticked the .esp and unticked the .bsa in the archive tab. Help! ~Sincerely Halde

Ok. If I go into Wrye Bash and find the specifc plugins, should I be able to see the bash tags?

When LOOT write: Weapons & Armor_TrueOrcish&DaedricWeapons.espCRC: 399C31A9Delev, Names, Relev, StatsShould I add these bashtags when building the Bashed Patch?

This mod is amazing. I love killcams with both melee and ranged, but it's so freaking annoying with spells and makes no sense. Furthermore, these new animations is complete and awesome. There have ever only been 1 killmove for sneak attack, now there is at least two. Endorsed x100000

How bad is it that an .esp has 1 deleted NahMesh? TheDomain.esp has one, and I think it's out of my technical ability to repair it. -

Nevermind, I actually just like the vanilla texture more. -

Well I actually only have my vanilla preset at medium. For some reason my computer completly tanks at ultra. I'm almost solely using 1k textures though. I optimized all mods(except for HiRes DLC) with 1k limits, and It's rare I see a vanilla texture. I have all the texture mods of STEP;Extended, except for Skyrim Flora Overhaul, and I'm not using any distant terrain mods either. I'll go ahead and install them then. Should I optimize ETaC? -

Well in that case I'll just skip it;) I didn't intend on using more mods from the pack than the ones I've picked already:) I don't think my computer can handle these mods:) -

Ok, after installing the patch, and only ticking on mods I was using, I get a couple of errors in the REGS.esp's. The "REGS Patch - CRF.esp" is missing "REGS - cities.esp" and "REGS - Resources.esm" The "REGS Patch - STEP Extended" is missing "ETaC - Complete.esp" and "ETaC - RESOURCES.esm" In all honesty, I have no idea what any of these means, except for "REGS Patch - STEP Extended.esp" and "REGS Patch - CRF.esp" I don't know which mods I am missing... ... Gen 4 i-7 is pretty sweet to have though. -

Yea but REGS covers mods already covered by STEP:Core/STEP:Extended. Hence I ask, if I should use both REGS Patch and STEP Patch(Extended in my case), or only REGS Patch. -
I think this issue can happen when something script-heavy occour. I used(and currently am using) Dragon Combat Overhaul. With this mod, dragons generate shockwaves when they land and take off, and they have a tail move that also causes it. 1 time so far, I got trapped in the "fall" animation. After I got up, I walked around with a camera similar the "cutscene" view from when I was falling. It's the same sort of view that occour when you are mining. Not to say that this will happen at random, it's most definitely a problem with whatever the other commenters mentioned.

Also, should be used with STEP:Core/STEP;Extended Patches, or instead of STEP:Core/STEP:Extended Patches?
