I can definitely confirm that iRadialBlurLevel does nothing in-game inside SkyrimPrefs.ini, but I have no idea what it does do. The setting doesn't change the radial blur when set in-game (easiest to test is coc qasmoke and activate an enchanter's table), although enabling and disabling radial blur in-game works perfectly. Changing the INI setting inside SkyrimPrefs.ini does not affect the blurring, and changing it to anything other than the default 0 in Skyrim.ini results in perfectly reproducible CTD upon activation of the radial blur. Since that action should happen as well if it were set in SkyrimPrefs.ini, I conclude that it does nothing, and indeed may be entirely broken. Can someone test the following settings in Skyrim.ini and NOT CTD when activating an enchanter's table? [Imagespace] bDoRadialBlur=1 fRenderDepthMaxDepth=10000.0000 iRadialBlurLevel=1

I was waiting until I got a solid basis for these guides before moving them to subpage format. It should be an easy process, as I set it up using the header format of the ENB INI guides. I want to confirm completely that the above parameters are indeed supposed to be in skyrim.ini first, then study the shadows. There are so many conflicting ideas about what these settings do that it is crazy.

My study seems to indicate that the following values, which have been for years erroneously placed inside SkyrimPrefs.ini, will never have any effect in-game unless placed inside Skyrim.ini: iRadialBlurLeveliAdapterbDecalsbSkinnedDecalsuMaxSkinDecalsuMaxSkinDecalsPerActorI have also verified that iPresentInterval has no effect inside SkyrimPrefs.ini, and must indeed be set in Skyrim.ini to have any effect. However, the default is 1, so it makes no difference unless you wish to disable it. Also, it was previously theorized that higher values such as 2 could have a different effect since this parameter accepts an integer value. However, higher values merely seem to disable it from my experiments.

Mod Organizer FOSE installing with FO3 GOTY

Could you post the INI settings inside ModOrganizer\Default in spoilers?- 88 replies

I prefer leaving %LOCALAPPDATA% as it is, because if you put it in the address bar in Windows Explorer, it automatically goes to the correct location. It saves teaching people how to unhide folders and whatnot.

Ok, so this is definitely a WIP. I have tried my best to get a comprehensive list of all possible ini tweaks in this guide for Skyrim.ini, both working and non-working. My methodology was simply to change every value in Tannin's Configurator plugin, and parse the resulting Skyrim.ini file to get most of the settings. Then I went through the low, medium, high, and ultra presets and added all their values in. Please edit away at this, and bless the developers of NotePad++ for their excellent find and replace functions that coded most of this guide.

My "Download With Manager" Button is not working
DoubleYou replied to TheGamingGeneral's question in Mod Organizer Support
Problem: When I click the Download with Manager button on the Nexus, nothing happens. Possible solutions: There are many reasons why this may happen. Please try these possible fixes: Click the globe button.Go to the Nexus tab in Settings and click the Associate with "Download with manager" links button.Go to your ModOrganizer directory and run the nxmhandler application. If the program is pointing to Mod Organizer, click the Register Active button, click yes at the prompt, and close. If the program is not pointing to Mod Organizer, right-click in the window and select Add, select the game you are handling, browse to the appropriate ModOrganizer.exe application, click OK, click the Register Active button, click yes at the prompt, and close. If you are using Google Chrome:Locate the "Local State" file (enter %LOCALAPPDATA%\Google\Chrome\User Data\ in the Windows Explorer address bar). Open the file in a text editor such as Notepad while Google Chrome is closed. Search for "nxm" (Click Ctrl+F and enter nxm). Delete the line that says "nxm": false (if true, still delete the line). Save the file. Next time you click the Download with Manager button, Chrome should pop-up a dialog asking to launch the application registered for nxm links. Click Launch. If you are using Firefox, open Firefox, and inside Options, go to the Applications tab. Search for nxm and point it toward the nxmhandler application located inside the ModOrganizer directory if the option exists. -
Oh. Extract the BSA and remove the plugin. The plugin isn't needed.

I actually use part of this mod. I recommend hiding the forsworn armor, however, as it doesn't look good.

You should gather more information, such as OS, install location, and similar. It probably is something simple.
-
What the heck does that mean? Edit: OK, so you mean if MO was opened by first downloading with manager. Well, that doesn't reproduce the problem for me, so either LOOT team fixed that, or I'm not doing it right.
-
I hope you did a clean install. LOOT 0.7 required you to uninstall the previous version if I heard correctly. I removed everything except my userlists (in AppData\Local\LOOT\) and then installed.
-
Ah. I just ran it and noticed that they weren't working.

Mod Organizer internal LOOT not utilizing userlist.yaml
DoubleYou replied to fantasma's question in Mod Organizer Support
You're a heretic MO does show the report in info blurbs in the Flags column. Also, functionally, the lock load order feature can almost replace LOOT meta rules. What would be better is if we added a way to edit the meta info from within MO. The .yaml userlist file format looks simple enough. But then, I do get that is a lot of work to implement. Just the feature is there more for you novice IMHO than the meta rule editor. -
Wow, that's a major update! Looks like we may need to revise our instructions. Edit: They made a slightly annoying change to the userlist. Every plugin needs to have single quotation marks surrounding them. Just open the userlist.yaml file in Notepad++, replace all name: with name: ' and all .esp with .esp' and you'll be fine.

ACCEPTED Static Mesh Improvement Mod - SMIM (by Brumbek)
DoubleYou replied to z929669's topic in Skyrim LE Mods
I didn't even notice the update. Version 1.77 -SMIM'd the Solitude Gate doors (sgatedoor.nif and slgdoor01.nif) to change the flat surface to 3D using a custom higher resolution texture. Not compatible with other Solitude gate texture mods. You should either merge it into the base mod, or install it separately after it. -
