  1. Added information about settings that have been added/moved/changed across official updates
  2. All should work with ENB if you follow the notes. Shadows thread has experimental ENB shadows recommended tweaks in OP at bottom.
  3. I think your INIs may be the leading cause of the issues, as they are horrendous. Please use https://wiki.step-project.com/Guide:Skyrim_Configuration_Settings to tweak your INIs. Any other INI tweaks that you have found from anywhere else are most likely harmful and/or placebo with extremely rare exception. Two biggies in there are very unoptimized shadows and grass settings. See reference threads on these two: https://forum.step-project.com/topic/8780-grass-optimization/ and https://forum.step-project.com/topic/3758-shadow-optimization/
  4. It's only ~5gb once you remove the DLC and HiRes Texture pack.
  5. Just copy the data folder into your own mod and load it at priority 0.
  6. I was thinking about bUseNavMeshForMovement, and I think this might affect arrows and bolts, believe it or not. fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist in the same section is believed to increase the distance that arrows can actually hit people, so perhaps turning off bUseNavMeshForMovement might do the same. My next question would be: If fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist should be raised to increase the distance that arrows can actually hit people, perhaps fNotVisibleNavmeshMoveDist should be raised as well. Except, what is the difference between a visible and not visible one? See default here.
  7. You do have the Unofficial Patches I presume? If not, you may not have the arrows can hit as far as they can be seen INI tweak included with it: Skyrim.ini [Actor] fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist=12288.0000
  8. I've never experienced instability that I could blame on this mod. Perhaps by ddsoptimizing it I avoided these issues.
  9. I'm sure there's a way to remove these hiccups (I get them too), but I haven't found it yet.
  10. If you use sync, disable it, wipe it, whatever. I remember someone else who had their browser hijacked, and with sync back on, it would just keep reinstalling the browser hijack!
  11. Heh. I totally missed this post. fOverShoulderAddY doesn't exist at all in the game.
  12. Hmm that sounds like update.bsa might be overwriting skyui.
  13. True. I have 16GB RAM on my laptop, most of which is never used, so I see little reason to disable it.
  14. I think the best thing about this tweak is it altogether removes the grass pop-in effect that has driven everybody batty for a long time.
  15. Chrome seems fast because it is always running. Google Chrome starts up at Windows startup, so it seems extremely fast.

  17. Did you checkmark the FNIS mod in the left pane?
  18. Yes, but are you using a MO shortcut or the dropdown.
  19. I think he said he was having trouble with stutter, not CTDs.
  20. See here for more detailed instructions: https://wiki.step-project.com/LOOT/Meta_Rule_Instructions
  21. He's on a GTX 980TI, which has 6gb VRAM I think. From the looks, your VideoMemorySizeMb is too low. Did you follow the instructions here to get your 6GB number? https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost#tab=Recommendations You might play with ReservedMemorySizeMb as well. Or do you really have a GTX 980TI in combination with very little actual RAM. If so, it sounds like your problem is not enough physical RAM.
  22. Are you running FNIS from a shortcut? If you are, you need to remove the shortcut and regenerate it once you change it, as that shortcut won't reset on itself.
  23. It's battle of the browsers, and I believe in competition. I left Chrome there for the past year for Firefox. Now I'm back on Chrome again. Firefox was taking 15 seconds to start up (WT!?). Chrome, like 3 seconds. I'll switch back to Firefox wants Chrome starts acting up again.
  24. The benefit is you can install and uninstall your mod at leisure. Grant's way is that you could mimic the MO installation process by creating a folder My Awesome Texture Mod inside the mods folder and place your textures directory and such in there. I'm just afraid you might accidentally delete your work that way.
  25. When MO installs the mod, it unzips the files.
