  1. Tested with Microsoft Edge. Steps I used: 1. Used Bing to search for "step project forum" 2. Clicked the link to the forum. 3. Within a few seconds I was transferred to the phishing site. So if it is on my side, it infected both Chrome and Edge.
  2. Via the View New Content button. Only happens when I access STEP website, which is why I think it is on your end. I can browse for hours on other websites with no trouble. Windows Defender detects no problems on my Windows 10 computer. I will try looking at the source code in the browser next time it happens and see if I can see anything. I will try and see if Microsoft Edge behaves the same.
  3. I have had this happen to me several times, only on the STEP website. I have Google Chrome. I have Ublock Origin installed as my ad blocker.
  4. Ok, after the update, I have 12224, so that is definitely an improvement! Took them long enough.
  5. Testing hasn't really been performed that can reliably tell if iNumHWThreads has a significant effect on the performance/stability of the game. The reason why this is difficult is because the default value is 4. This value is used even for users with dual-core (two hardware-threaded) processors without any reported problems. However, if you decrease it to 2, it can freeze the game! Most people don't have more than 4-threaded processors, and since you would have to set it higher than the default of four to reliably test it as a possible performance increaser, no such tests have been done. Therefore, while I do expect it to increase performance if you have the right processor and increase it, it is a controversial setting at best, and could possibly incur unknown bugs. So is it safe? We don't know.
  6. I consider the fade settings to be bug fixes since they virtually eliminate a certain kind of pop-in, so it retains the vanilla fade distance, while altering the settings to eliminate the pop-in. You can change Weapon Debris settings in Fallout4Prefs.ini in the [NVFlex] section. BethINI will only change the INI file when you run it.
  7. Oh. Well that definitely was not made clear. I think I will wait for it to be rolled out then.
  8. Still reads 4064 for me and I have the Creator's update.
  9. @GhostGSJ Fixed the bugs you mentioned in the dev build for the next release. Verified that iVSyncPresentInterval actually works properly in Skyrim Special edition. 1 is for your refresh rate vsync, 2 is for half that, 3 is for a third, and so on. On my 75HZ display, 1 sets it to 75fps, 2 sets it to 37fps, and 3 sets it to 25fps. Not sure how I'll incorporate that. The feature doesn't work properly for the older games, at least for me (Fallout 4 and earlier). @Tech I have this tweak already incorporated into BethINI, but only for Skyrim Special Edition for testing purposes. It is buggy in the current build, as mentioned by GhostGSJ @hejohoo 1. This is merely a default value in case somebody sets the incorrect screen resolution it won't bug out your display. There is a setting in BethINI to fix that ;) 2. Generally speaking, no. However, some mods require specific INI tweaks. BethINI has a list of mods that it recognizes that will automatically detect that need and apply the necessary tweak. However, most mods don't require that. It certainly wouldn't hurt to simply open BethINI and hit Save and Exit just in case. 3. Weapon debris I haven't gotten around to adding, and rain occlusion is impossible to turn off because Bethesda borked that setting, despite the game launcher trying to tell you otherwise. 4. You can make your own changes. BethINI may modify your changes in some cases to improve them (e.g. optimize fade distances for grass and lighting), or remove any that it knows are harmful, or incompatible. As to iFPSClamp, I have a bug in the current build that could be changing that. Also, iFPSClamp is on the list of controversial tweaks, so make sure you don't tell BethINI to set it to default once you save at the pop-up. BethINI uses advanced methods for grass, lighting, and other fade distances that cause it to look like that to the game launcher and settings, but that is merely because BethINI is optimizing the distances to show the same amount of grass distance in a way that it will not cause pop-in and decreased performance. No, it is not outdated. It merely is smarter than Bethesda.
  10. They look the same, but I expect that the static trees would be less demanding. I never found a measurable difference.
  11. 1. I noticed this bug the other day and will try to fix it. 2. I will have to investigate this one. 3. This one I will have to look at too. 4. Never got a round tuit. 5. In my testing, this didn't work like that. I suppose it must affect different systems differently. Therefore, I don't think that I will support it. I will test your settings, however.
  12. Restoring the ini files fixes the issue? What are your system specs and please post your ini files either in spoiler tags or on Pastebin.
  13. Uploaded version 2.5.1 -Bugfix: If the Mod Organizer path was not found, and the user browsed to its location, INI Path would not be updated to include the profiles indicated by the Mod Organizer path, and could also display items duplicated.-Bugfix: Skinned Trees and Tree Animations are no longer on top of each other (Thanks synthtech0).-Bugfix: Remove Grass tooltip now correctly indicates that it changes bAllowCreateGrass and bAllowLoadGrass as necessary in Skyrim, Skyrim Special Edition, and Fallout 4.-Decided to upload the utility to the relevant Nexus site for each game to make it easier for people who have never heard of it to find. This likely will be the final update to this utility. Source code, like always, is found in the source folder. I worked hard trying to eliminate z-fighting. I just simply arrived at the conclusion that it was impossible, and have implemented a solution that makes it mostly unnoticeable. As for the shimmering, I would expect that it is z-fighting. Otherwise, I am unaware of any issue with distant snow on distant mountains.
  14. Interesting. I will have to update BethINI so that it recognizes the new file. This is not turned on with Recommended Tweaks. It is simply the default value copied from the Fallout 4 default configuration file. What I should do is make a toggle to turn this off. It doesn't cause any problems on my computer. Fixed in my dev build. I have the Dynamic Trees issue fixed in my dev build. As for Post Load Update Time, it affects scripts that might startup at initial load time, giving it a few extra seconds head start if you will, so there is no benefit in increasing it in regards to textures, meshes, etc. I was trying to wait for the antivirus companies used by Virustotal to clear up their false positives by submitting my file for analysis as such, but they are foreign antiviruses and I suppose they might not understand English very well, so I will just have to upload it anyway.
  15. Install Crash Fixes.
  16. Increase your Actor Fade distance.
  17. I can. It's a little tricky though.
  18. Hmmm... Seems I broke Mod Organizer integration somehow already. Edit: Correction: I did not brake it. I just missed something.
  19. The antivirus co finally cleared it. Uploaded version 2.5: -Behind the Scenes: Added support for Mod Organizer 2. Please treat Mod Organizer 2 exactly the same as the original Mod Organizer. The INI files will be duplicated to the relevant Documents\My Games folder for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition as a temporary workaround until profile INIs are fixed. This will need to be done manually if you are using Mod Organizer 2 for the older games (recommended to stick with Mod Organizer 1.3.11 for them atm). -Behind the Scenes: INI Path under Setup will now reduce Mod Organizer profile paths to ModOrganizer > Profile-Name if the current INI Path is set to a Mod Organizer profile. -Behind the Scenes: INI Path will always display the Documents\My Games location as an option. -Behind the Scenes: If you select "Browse..." for the INI Path and select the same location that is currently the INI Path, BethINI will no longer reload. -Captions: Improved description for Flickering Light Distance dropdown. -Controversial Tweaks: Added iNumThreads:HAVOK, iPreloadSizeLimit:General, uExterior Cell Buffer:General, uInterior Cell Buffer:General as controversial tweaks for Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 4, and Skyrim Special Edition. Added iPreloadSizeLimit:General, uExterior Cell Buffer:General, uInterior Cell Buffer:General as controversial tweaks for Oblivion. Do note that Fallout 4 does raise the default values for iNumThreads:HAVOK from 1 to 7 and iPreloadSizeLimit:General from 25MB to 400MB. -GUI Messages: Disable Tutorials message of "The game will no display tutorial pop-ups." was fixed to say "The game will no longer display tutorial pop-ups." -GUI Change: Renamed the Foliage tab Visuals, since there are not enough foliage-related settings, and I need more space to place settings that affect the visuals. -GUI Change: Moved all the Grass and Tree settings to the right side of the tab. -Harmful Tweaks: Added bForcePow2Textures:Display 1 (CTD), bUse Shaders:Display 0 (CTD), uExterior Cell Buffer:General -New Tweak: Gamma under the Visuals tab for Oblivion, Fallout 3, Fallout New Vegas, Skyrim, and Skyrim Special Edition. -Tweaked tweak: Flickering Light Distance dropdown now has better numerical preset options in the dropdown.
  20. Only use at the beginning. No need to run afterwards unless tweaking for extra performance.
  21. Rain occlusion setting in Fallout 4 Launcher is unused and bogus. Rain occlusion will be on no matter what you set it to. You can see it in effect when you take shelter under a roof in the middle of a storm.
  22. Make sure you are selecting your Mod Organizer profile under INI Path in the Setup tab of BethINI.
  23. As long as the INI Path is set to where your INI files are, you are okay, even if the Mod Organizer Path says ERROR.
  24. Outside, just like always. I try to keep things consistent.
  25. I only added some tweaks to Controversial Tweaks detection for Fallout 4. And it will probably be a week before my app gets approved, so go ahead.
