Then the problem lies with something other than my tool. Please ensure you have all your plugins checkmarked.

Go to Setup section and hit the restore backup button and choose the Before BethINI backup and see if that fixes your mods. That will reset the INI files back to how they were before you used BethINI. I just want to make sure that it is an INI file issue.

That guide is outdated for this program. That was from the earliest incarnation of this mod. Just follow the instructions I have on the mod page. The blur tweak may be on or off. I didn't care for it, so I recommended to disable it. It is possible that there is a mod in that guide that may require it to be on. NVFlex is weapon debris. See this link: https://www.geforce.com/whats-new/articles/fallout-4-patch-1-3-adds-nvidia-hbao-and-flex-powered-weapon-debris

Sounds like you failed to select the "Default" button before changing things, and an existing INI didn't exist, so the file was incomplete.

Learning how to make FOMOD Templates.

Common practice is to only list the option you want to use. -
iNumHWThreads may be useful if you have more than 4 hardware threads on your CPU, but testing hasn't been done to confirm this. Default value is 4. bMultiThreadedAccumulation and bMultiThreadedRenderingUNP are Boolean settings. A value of 1 is on. A value of 0 is off. Default value is 1. I would recommend leaving them on. Increasing the number beyond 1 will make the value become invalid, so the game will use the default value of 1. There are several more bMultiThreaded- tweaks of interest, but testing hasn't proven them to be useful: bMultiThreadedRendering=0 bMultiThreadedRenderingDFL=0 bMultiThreadedRenderingFWD=0 bMultiThreadedRenderingPPLD=0 bMultiThreadedRenderingPPM=0 The default values are 0, off. In testing on my old laptop, it caused severe graphical issues, but they don't seem to have that effect on my current rig. Here is a quote of what I discovered early on with my laptop and had difficulty for reference.

fVisibleNavmeshMoveDist is the tweak you want, but it is also included in the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, so you probably already have it.

I understand your reasoning, and I agree that it is less than ideal for the power user, but it's the only workaround I have at the moment so that functionality will stay intact. A backup is created of the FalloutCustom.ini every time, so I guess I could replace the backup every time, but then any settings the user might have wanted to change could be overridden by it. I'd have to write a lot more coding to handle FalloutCustom.ini in a better way, and since the mod version of the file is different than the way the games have typically used it, I would have to do two separate versions or something. I just will have to leave it for another day when I have time to make it work the way you and I would prefer, which would be to have a toggle button to allow changing of the Custom file, or gray out the settings that are in the Custom file. I compiled it like an hour ago. The antiviruses generally take a while before they recognize it as being safe.

Version 2.7 -Behind the Scenes: Fallout New Vegas can now use a FalloutCustom.ini file if using the JIP LN NVSE Plugin (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/58277/?). This file will now be backed up if present. Functionally, the mod description says that the file will overwrite settings in FalloutPrefs.ini as well as Fallout.ini. This behavior is different than the other games, so BethINI will cause FalloutCustom.ini to contain ALL settings from both Fallout.ini and FalloutPrefs.ini as a workaround. -Bugfix: Poor preset button is now disabled when switched to use Vanilla Presets in Skyrim Special Edition since there is no poor vanilla preset, which would prompt a message saying "You should not receive this error. Inform me if you do." -GUI change: Moved the Wetness toggle (Fallout 4) in the Detail tab to a different location in the same general vicinity. -GUI change: Moved the Lens Flare toggle (Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition) in the Detail tab to a different location in the same general vicinity. -New Tweak: Anamorphic Lens Flare under Detail for Skyrim Special Edition. -New Tweak: Interior Godrays toggle under Detail for Skyrim Special Edition. -Presets: BethINI Presets (Skyrim Special Edition) for High and Ultra have been changed to set bVolumetricLightingDisableInterior to 0 due to reports about it causing interiors to look strange. -Tweak changed: Godrays dropdown (Skyrim Special Edition) has been modified to remove the option to turn on Godrays indoors due to reports about it causing interiors to look strange.

The behavior you are describing can only happen under two circumstances that I am aware of. 1. You have BethINI set for Skyrim, which you have clarified that you have correctly set to Skyrim Special Edition. The page you had linked to said to set the game to Skyrim, which is why I thought you might have that wrong. That page applies to the original Skyrim game only, and not to the Special Edition. 2. The only other way for this to happen is if you failed to click the "Default" preset button under the Basic tab before doing anything. So try clicking the "Default" button, then save and exit, and see if that does not fix the issue.

Also, bDecalsOnSkinnedGeometry is supposed to be in Skyrim.ini under [Display]. That said, it is on by default and does not need to be turned on in Skyrim.

Fallout 3 Default Values for All Valid INI Settings
DoubleYou replied to DoubleYou's topic in INI Tweaking
I would be interested in seeing these variants. Maybe they fixed some of Bethesda's mistakes. -
That INI setting is integrated into Decal Quantity under the Detail tab. You are putting the setting in the wrong location if it is getting removed.

Version 2.6 uploaded: -New Tweak: Bethesda Modding Platform under Interface for Fallout 4. -New Tweak: Half Hertz under Basic for Skyrim Special Edition. -Bugfix: The FPS tweak for Skyrim Special Edition now shows the correct FPS value that Havok is set to. -Bugfix: The Clamped tweak for Skyrim Special Edition could be labeled the value it is set to instead of being called Clamped. -Bugfix: The Disable Tutorials tweak does not work for Skyrim Special Edition, so it has been removed. -Bugfix: The Intro Music tweak now will show if it is disabled in Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition. -Bugfix: The VSync tweak could be labeled the numerical value it is set to instead of being called VSync. -Tooltip Change: The tooltip for VSync incorrectly said that VSync stood for "video synchronization" instead of "vertical synchronization." Also, noted that VSync helps eliminate screen tearing. -GUI Change: Preset dropdown (for LOD levels) has been improved to include BethINI presets.

I have never heard this tweak being criticized before. This just increases the loading screen time by 1.5 seconds in order to give scripts a little more time to finish before you start playing. There are several other tweaks to Papyrus that have been considered unsafe, but never this one that I have heard.

I would need to see the bad INI files to be able to help. The values are based on an FOV calculator, but should not be considered optimal. You can type in any value you wish.

non-issue Linkjacking / Redirect to Phishing Site occuring
DoubleYou replied to drudkh's question in Forum Support
Well, I haven't gotten it for a while now, but I'm not sure if it isn't just lurking, or if running CCleaner (hadn't run it in ages) to delete my browser cookies/cache/etc., didn't remove it, or the recaching of the skin files. I ran a ton of the antivirus programs mentioned in this thread and it found nothing. I guess all's well that ends well.
