GrantSP Posted April 6, 2016 Posted April 6, 2016 I've downloaded the STEP Compilation patch 2.2.9.2i High Res patch twice and both downloads have an extraction error in Mod Organizer. Could you guys check the file? I don't ever have corrupted downloads anymore after switching to a wired network. No issue with file that is uploaded to Nexus, I just re-downloaded it to verify and it extracts fine. Any issues you face with file extraction are usually down to Nexus's CDN servers. They need to propagate that file across numerous servers around the planet and it is possible the server you are sourcing it from has an issue. You could manually choose another server or contact them and advise them of this problem.
Bastus Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 Hello, installing STEP Extended, i saw instructions with (may be) missing informations. For the section 2.D fixes : "Step optimized Vanilla texture". Should we not deplace the two .esp in "optional esp" section, bevore to thick the .bsa archive?(When we thick .bsa archive, it is because of dummy plugins if i understood.) Sorry if i'm wrong.
Greg Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 If you let Mod Organize manage the bsa archives and both bsa archives s are checked in the Archives tab, you can move the two dummy plugins to the "Optional ESPs".
TechAngel85 Posted April 8, 2016 Author Posted April 8, 2016 Correct, they've been included for WB users.
Bastus Posted April 13, 2016 Posted April 13, 2016 (edited) Hello,I've just installed a second time STEP EXTENDED because of not seing "Dyndolod texGen" or "Dyndolod Worlds"option in DynDolod menu.I think i followed cautiously step instructions on a new fresh installation and again no option.I went in TES5Edit folder because i was pretty sure the problem came from there. Chekin the xEdit folder from Dyndolod Archive, i saw the script folder. Inside:DynDOLOD TexGen.pasDynDOLOD worlds.pasDydolod folderPutting all this in the TES5Edit "script folder" gives me the possibility to thick TexGen and Worlds again. So, i have two questions1) Is my modification stable or should i move other files/folder from DynDolod archive in TES5Edit "script folder"?2)Is there any update (last on 7th april) in Dyndolod that makes this STEP instruction Outdated: From the extracted contents (of the dyndolod archive), copy all directories within "TES5Edit" into the TES5Edit program root directory (found wherever TES5Edit is installed).Considering the archive structure with the xEdit folder, i think that it can't actually work if we don't do it manually. (Thanks for your answers.) Edit: Certainly a dummy question... So now it's seems to work fine. Thanks to step crew and modders for my first extended and stable installation. lizardnexus Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I'm experiencing an issue with the dialogue where the follower will move his/her mouth in response to dialogues, but there is no audio or subtitles. This is happening in the dialogues for Better Stealth AI for Followers and Convenient Horses.(These mods were part of the S.T.E.P. MODs so I am uncertain as to why this may be conflicting as there was no mention of such an issue in the guide). The only other follower dialogue MOD I currently have is My Home is Your Home, which is responding with audio responses. This report is also being made to Better Stealth and Convenient Horses as well.Edit: Let me amend my statement for accuracy; I am using Bathing in Skyrim which has dialogues and the responses are audible like MHIYH. UPDATE: I set up a new Mod Organizer profile to test. I believe I've found the culprit. I do not see any compatibility issues between CO or BSAI. I was also using two dialogue MODs, so I plugged them in to see what would happen. Results:Fuz Ro D'oh: OFFLip Sync Fix: OFF--No Moving Lips--No AudioFuz Ro D'oh: OFFLip Sync Fix ON--No moving lips--No audioFuz Ro D'oh: ONLip Sync Fix OFF--Moving lips --No audioFuz Ro D'oh: ONLip Sync Fix ON--Moving lips--No audio As far as subtitles go, if there is not supposed to be an audio response, there should also be no subtitles (I would think). MHIYHO is the only MOD that returned vanilla responses with every dialogue option with "Huh" and "Of Course".Convenient Horses seems to have no NPC dialog responses.Better Stealth AI only responded with "Of course" after concluding the dialog options. I am of course going to forward this to Better Stealth AI, and Convenient Horses as Well. 0 0 Skyrim.esm 1 1 Update.esm 2 2 Dawnguard.esm 3 3 HearthFires.esm 4 4 Dragonborn.esm 5 5 Unofficial Skyrim Legendary Edition Patch.esp 6 6 HighResTexturePack01.esp 7 7 HighResTexturePack02.esp 8 8 HighResTexturePack03.esp 9 9 Unofficial High Resolution Patch.esp10 a SkyUI.esp11 b BetterQuestObjectives.esp12 c The Paarthurnax Dilemma.esp13 d FollowerCompatibility.esp14 e Convenient Horses.esp15 f Better Stealth AI for Followers.esp16 10 My Home Is Your Home.esp BetterQuestObjectives-CRFPatch.esp BetterQuestObjectives-NECPatch.esp17 11 BetterQuestObjectives-PaarDilemmaPatch.esp18 12 Alternate Start - Live Another Life.esp19 13 BetterQuestObjectives-AlternateStartPatch.esp
z929669 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 ^ These are not STEP bugs but rather bugs in your particular setup, since you are using mods that are not in the STEP guide, and these or your general non-STEP setup are likely the source of your issues. Please repost in the support forums under a new topic.
lizardnexus Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 (edited) ERM.... Fuz Ro D'oh, Better Stealth AI, and Convenient Horses are S.T.E.P. I didn't even know about them prior to playing around with S.T.E.P. And it seems that Fuz Ro D'oh is the only thing effecting it... Edit: Let me just amend my statement. If this error is compensated for by a later part of the S.T.E.P. project. Good.I reported this to the MOD authors, and that's good enough for me. Though if there is a dependency, it may be valid information. Edited April 29, 2016 by lizardnexus

Though if there is a dependency, it may be valid information.Z is referring to the non-STEP mods in your load order. It's a lot harder for us to troubleshoot when users have mods installed that aren't part of the STEP lineup. This is why you got the response you did and is also the reason we say for users to get a stable STEP build before adding on any extra mods on top.
z929669 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 ^ Tech is exactly correct. Since we and many others who have installed STEP:Core and STEP:Extended do not encounter this issue, then we cannot rule out that the 'foreign' dialog mods you have installed are the root cause rather than STEP. Please install only STEP:Core/Extended completely using the guide, then report any issues you have here. If no issue is encountered until after you install your added dialog mods, then you need to post on the support forums or sites associated with the mod authors. As of now, we cannot consider your report to be associated with a "STEP bug"
lizardnexus Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I completely understand, and apologize for continuing this for another post, my original report has been submitted to the relevant MOD authors. On the subject of Fuz Ro D'oh. The "detailed instructions" does not mention any specifications on installing the compressed file. The author's instructions are to place the files directly into the Skyrim/Data folders. It seems that you have provided a distinction to install other compressed downloads without a MO/NMM installer, but this is not made clear for the STEP instructions. I apologize if this is not where I should report this. I consider my reporting of this topic here finished. I will move on and only report to this topic should I experience issues with a STEP only installation. Thank you.
lizardnexus Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016  I hate to do this after all that.... (I decided to attempt a more complete STEP setup [after moving my game from a win10 PC to win7]) since this was an issue, I went ahead and tested since I was doing this install anyway. After a STEP Core (some extended) install. The issue has persisted. I tried to shoot a screen recording capture, but between the poor playback speed and lack of audio recording (I'm not that invested in making it work) it could not contribute. The Fuz Ro D'oh.ini file has been created as instructed. Yet again, with the STEP only MODs (plus Live Another Life - because I'm not going to run through Helgren to test something unrelated to Helgren): When there is no audio response called upon by the follower MOD's dialogue, and Fuz Ro D'oh is activated; the NPC's mouth moves, there is no audio and no subtitles. When there is an audio response called upon by the follower MOD's dialogue, and Fuz Ro D'oh is activated; the NPC's mouth moves, there is audio, and there is subtitles. When Fuz Ro D'oh is INACTIVE: If there is no audio called upon by the Follower MOD - It acts like it should. Lunaus Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 It isn't a bug and I'm sorry if it doesn't belong but the mod link for The Ruffled Feather(mods/13268) is linked to the STEP Compilation(mods/11) mod page in the wiki guide.
