EssArrBee Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Discussion thread:RUSTIC POTIONS and POISONS by GamwichWiki Link Another Rustic mod from Gamwich. This looks like a really good one. Potion bottles are already covered by a couple STEP mods, so some compares might be in order. I've done enough of them this week, so I volunteer everyone else.
Kelmych Posted February 16, 2015 Posted February 16, 2015 Indeed. They overwrite textures from the SLOD Potions and SLOD Poisons mods; at first glance the Rustic textures look better.
Xaviien Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) I had started doing a comparison for this mod, but after lining up some potions and saving my game:something seems to have broken in my save, and I now only have 1 potion on the table:I could do a comparison based on a stack of potions on the floor, if that would be helpful at all: Unless someone has a savegame laying around or knows a better way to line up potions for a comparo, it might be a week or so before I try this again... EssArrBee Posted February 24, 2015 Author Posted February 24, 2015 You might try getting one of those player home mods that adds lots of potions. Either that or ask the author of one of those potion mods to hook you up with a save.
TechAngel85 Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I think for a compare like this you're going to have to use a table or surface that isn't used by the NPCs. That way nothing gets messed with. Most kitchen tables are good for this. Just remove the food and line up the bottles.
Xaviien Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Yeah, I thought this would be ok, especially since I deleted all the NPCs that were around. I get the feeling I may have broken the save by deleting the guy that was sitting at the sitting at the table before I laid out the potions, but didn't save and load til after I had laid them all out. It seems to have reverted the pile on the floor and the lines on the table to where they were when I marked the NPC for deletion. I'll try to scope out a friendly author to snag a save game from. Thanks for the advice.
Octopuss Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 You could use Jaxonz Positioner to hard lock the bottles in place, which should eliminate such problems. 2
darkside Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 (edited) There are conflicts with Radiant and Unique Potions and Poisons HD Edited February 24, 2015 by darkside
Kelmych Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 It would overwrite a few of the bottles in Radiant Potions and Poisons HD that aren't overwritten by the Silly Level of Detail Potions and the Poisons textures, but there are many that are not overwritten. If this mod is preferred to the textures in the Silly Level of Detail mods then the two Silly Level of Detail mods could be eliminated.
Octopuss Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 The wine bottles from Silly Level... are really nice. I especially like the stickers from that mod, and certainly would have difficult time giving up on them.
Kelmych Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 This mod doesn't provide wine bottle textures, the Rustic Clutter Collection mod has the wine bottle textures.
Xaviien Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 You could use Jaxonz Positioner to hard lock the bottles in place, which should eliminate such problems.Wow! I haven't used it yet, but this looks like THE mod I need to help test and compare these types of mods. Thank you so very much, from the bottom of my heart. My wife is also very excite. She loves decorating her house with carrots. F'n weirdo.
EssArrBee Posted March 3, 2015 Author Posted March 3, 2015 So I did few screens using the zoom on the inventory screen. STEP is better flat out. I didn't do Radiant and Unique with these, just step core which is SLOD and a couple vanilla. STEP Core->Rustic damage skill poison black->skill potion bottle->regen potion Strong Poison->Attribute potion? blue->Attribute potion red smaller skill potion->invisibility->spider venom I'll add some more later. They are just more of the same.
Harpalus Posted March 3, 2015 Posted March 3, 2015 (edited) Based on the above screens, I actually prefer Rustic Potions and Poisons. (I have no idea if my opinion counts here, though?)) Edited March 3, 2015 by Harpalus
