predator42393n
The gun "drops" well below my line of sight. I have to look straight down to be able to see the reload animation.Oh I see what you mean, TBH I don't have a problem with, it seems more realistic to me. It's more like he's doing the reloading near his mid-section/hip rather than right in front of his face. I have seen a lot of experienced gun owners reload their guns like this. Once they become used to reloading a firearm, they dont need to see whats going with their hands, their muscles memory remembers it for then. It's no different than playing games, the muscles in your hands remember where all the buttons are so you don't have to look down to see what your pressing. But again that's just my opinion, and I can understand some not liking it. Edited July 13, 2015 by predator42393n
Jax765
Yeah, not a fan of the WAR-EC compatibility patch. Kinda screws with weapon visibility.
Jax765
So in addition to cluttering up the game with useless NPCs, Electro City also screws with ground textures in Novac. Are there any good alternatives to it?
daemondai
So in addition to cluttering up the game with useless NPCs, Electro City also screws with ground textures in Novac. Are there any good alternatives to it? Odd, I have never had these sorts of issues with ElectroCity, and I've been using it for a long time. It has been a go-to mod for many people for ages, and I've never seen anyone else have the issue either. Not to mention I don't understand why ElectroCity would be causing these issues... so far as I am aware, it doesn't change any ground textures. Genius384
I think ElectroCity is one of those mods that is good in theory and on paper, but terrible in execution. I mean, I'm not a stickler for "Lore Friendly" stuff but as soon as I saw the Electrocity engineers and added building, I removed it from my game. I prefer Simple Street Lights (SSL) which is not on the nexus but is exactly that - only street lights.

Immersion-breaking and lore-unfriendly.

ferrousaemyr
If it includes a BSA you probably over the BSA limit if you have an older version of MO installed.I installed MO just a few days ago. v1.2.18. It does contain a BSA, though. By count in the Archives tab, I'm only using 16 BSAs beyond those in the base game & DLC.
oqhansoloqo
I'm willing to bet that it had to do with your number of BSAs installed. Why not upgrade MO? The newer versions of MO do not have this issue and have other improvements. EDIT:The JIP CCC ThinUI mod is a piece of cake to install, nothing special about it. Just place somewhere after the JIP CCC mod, it only replaces a handful of the UI element textures in the JIP CCC bsa.GrantSP - do you want to ask EssArrBee about adding it to the guide and then go about putting it in there if he gives the go-ahead? It seems as though a lot of people like the idea.EDIT2:I think ElectroCity is one of those mods that is good in theory and on paper, but terrible in execution.I mean, I'm not a stickler for "Lore Friendly" stuff but as soon as I saw the Electrocity engineers and added building, I removed it from my game.I prefer Simple Street Lights (SSL) which is not on the nexus but is exactly that - only street lights.Anyone else try Simple Street Lights and what are the downsides to using it over Electro-City? BTW - the description for Electro-City states that they removed the Electro-City HQ, so that sounds to me like the building is no longer there. The engineers are, but not the building...
Audley
I strongly dislike Electro-City as well and have been using Simple Street Lights (the extra lights version) for a while now with zero issues. I don't think Electro City is a bad mod, but it is too over the top for me and the LOD issues are immersive breaking to say the least. I suppose the only downside to using SSL over Electro-City is that you don't get any reason as to who is maintaining all these lights. But then again there is still running water in the Mojave for the majority of houses so I guess you have to decide where you draw the line. It's super easy to get SSL. I only found the mod because an author of an ENB placed it in their recommended mods section. I suggest giving it a shot if you dislike Electro-City. Edit: Typo Fixes Edited July 13, 2015 by Audley

Audley
Is this the right one? Also, did you ever encounter that texture glitch when using Electro City?I did not personally encounter any texture issues with Electro-City. With that being said I never actually remember playing with it all the way up until Novac. I have not used the mod in some time and until I discovered SSL I just decided I would rather not have any lights. Do those issues go away when you disable Electro-City? Because to me those issues look like DDSopt artifacting. I believe that is the right one in that link. But always got it from what I believe is the original post. Edit: Was going to link but was not sure if we are allowed to link to modding websites in other languages. Edited July 13, 2015 by Audley

It is what is linked from the TTW merge of FO3 & FNV Streetlights mods.
GrantSP
If @EssArrBee wants to add it to the list, that's fine. Anyone should be able to add it to the wiki guide. Since it is a very simple mod to add that has absolutely no conflicts with anything at all, except of course JIP CCC, installing it by anyone will be easy. So long as MO shows it providing those textures, everything is fine.
