varrgas Posted February 9, 2014 Posted February 9, 2014 ofc ^^ i doesn't want to make 2 SKSE.ini, i just want to know if that safe to make both tweak in same time. But with you answer , that mean yes :)
Crimson13 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 At the moment would you guys recommend using the SKSE alpha and using: [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 or just standalone: [Memory] Enable=1 MemBlock1=512 MemBlock2=256 I hesitate to use an alpha just on the basis of being cautious but I figured I'd ask you guy's input.
AyleidRuin Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Since I installed the SKSE alpha 1.7, I no longer have the only CTD that I couldn't get around.Going east on the road out of Falkreath. Was typing up a new thread and I found this one. So yea. I am Ecstatic :D Have yal seen Gopher's Vid on the SKSE alpha and SSME? ^u WarZone guys will love this! Â Gopher had (I think ugrids=11) 300+ Windhelm guards spawned @ his location outside the gates of Windhelm. Â 300 NPCs!!! Â :dance:Wow:dance:Â Â Â Â Â Â 300NPCs=Â FPS=12 Â lol its still awesome! Now im going back 2 the ESO Beta. Â Ends Monday @11:59pm EST! Â ESO is a bit different. Â Still beautiful. Â Is it Elder Scrolls? Â thats another thread. Thank You STEP Community!
varrgas Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Imo , the Alpha isn't unstable. That a great improvement, and the new feature aren't negative att all and cant make the game unstable. i Play with Alpha : [Memory] DefaultHeapInitialAllocMB=768 ScrapHeapSizeMB=256 And my game experience is Better, before this tweak, my game CTD with lighting thunder and some other mod, i didn't know why, i uninstal it. Now, i can play with without any CTD with . thank SKSE :D
TechAngel85 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 I've not heard of any issues with anyone using the alpha yet. It would seem that it's stable. Sent from my Moto X using Tapatalk.
Allsunday Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 This is simple. People were expecting lots of issues but the patch is really simple. I think it's time to edit the OP, don't you guys think? There's no reason for not using SSME/SKSE Alpha.
Neovalen Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Is there any point to use SSME if using the alpha? My gut says no. Sent from my XT907 using Tapatalk
z929669 Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 We impatiently await a beta of the new SKSE before we adhere to a specific protocol (other than what is in the OP) ... why? Because the current protocol works great using Neo's version of sheson's DLL ;)
Allsunday Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Is there any point to use SSME if using the alpha? My gut says no. Sent from my XT907 using TapatalkYou can't use both.
Soire Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Is there any point to use SSME if using the alpha? My gut says no. Sent from my XT907 using TapatalkNay, as Allsunday stated. If you're using SSME on 1.6 SKSE already, leave it that way until 1.7 goes officially out of Alpha. I've found the Alpha SKSE version stable and the 2 additions into skse.ini are easy. No CDT's at character creation anymore (I test-tried to push the limit of how many hair models i can load without precachekiller ... apachii all options + Superior Lore friendly works now with standard settings - before, a sure cdt with precachekiller installed!)
Allsunday Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Indeed, if you're already using SSME on 1.6 SKSE, wait for 1.7 official release. No difference between SSME and SKSE 1.7 alpha.
DoYouEvenModBro Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 If I'm using SKSE 1.6, can I still use the current version of SSME. I just came into this thread and I'm not sure what changed....can someone give me a recap? Should I now be using SKSE 1.7 alpha with Neo's new recommended SKSE.ini values?
Allsunday Posted February 10, 2014 Posted February 10, 2014 Using SKSE 1.6 + SSME is the same as using SKSE 1.7 alpha. Asking your question, if you're not using this patch already, YES, you can install current version of SSME if you're using SKSE 1.6.
redirishlord Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 Considering the success of the 1.7 alpha of SKSE with the memory patch 3.0 features, I wonder if a new NVSE with the same is something we can hope for?
DoYouEvenModBro Posted February 15, 2014 Posted February 15, 2014 I would go back to modding Fallout if that happened.
