Spock Posted December 4, 2013 Posted December 4, 2013 One thing that occurred to me while creating a patch for an upcoming pack: Consistent older people seems to have gotten an update, Bring out your dead too. The Diverse Priests patches seem outdated, there are some references in the patch that no longer overwrite anything from the original file. It would be great if you could tell me with what Consistent Older People esp I should work. The one from the Consistent Older People 18 All NPCs BOYD Compatible Loose Assets archive?
Nearox Posted December 7, 2013 Posted December 7, 2013 Hey guys, I've been absent with the step project and forums in general due to work and bad internet conditions abroad (greece). Not sure when I will be able to get back on it... Hope development is going well!
Guciec Posted December 9, 2013 Posted December 9, 2013 ABOUT: Dual Sheath Redux mod & it's detailed instruction "Also install the patches for aMidianBorn, Elemental Staffs and Skyrim Weapon De-LARP-ification Project." Meshes included in the DSR patches are overridden by meshes from these mods above installed lower in the mod order [Wrye Bash]. So in fact they are not applied. Guide needs update or comment in the detailed instruction.
TechAngel85 Posted December 9, 2013 Author Posted December 9, 2013 Patches may need to be placed directly under those corresponding mods. Will have to investigate if Neo does not reply.
WilliamImm Posted December 10, 2013 Posted December 10, 2013 These patches can just be installed under Dual Sheath Redux itself. In fact, I merge them in with the DSR mod folder in MO.
Astakos Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 That is what I have done as well. Merged them in with the actual DSR folder. No problems whatsoever.
Neovalen Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 DSR patch meshes should not conflict with the original mod since they are named differently. That is, unless you are using the "no straps" version to remove the straps for on back skeleton usage.
jakeslim Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 Could one of the team let us know if 2.2.7 -> 2.2.8 will require a clean install? Or will it just be small incremental changes? Thanks for working on it! PS: a cheeky request for an ETA, even a rough one?
EssArrBee Posted January 3, 2014 Posted January 3, 2014 One of our release coordinators is in a state of limbo at the moment so an eta on release is a while. And no, you won't need a clean install to do our smaller updates.
SCarverOrne Posted January 5, 2014 Posted January 5, 2014 I hope this is the right place to post this. In the Gameplay section of the 2.2.7 STEP list (2.2.M) there are mods that need updated information, clarification, or removal. Candle Lanterns of the North (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22986/?) is now hidden: "Slated for deletion; no longer compatible with Wearable Lanterns." Skyrim Coin Replacer (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/8611/?) is now hidden in lieu of a new version of the mod: Skyrim Coin Replacer Redux (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/48195/?) Wearable Lanterns (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/17416/?) has been updated several times. It is currently version 3. There is no clear recommendation for which version one should use, the only baseline being "no bsa." This would make the last compatible version "Wearable Lanterns 2_2a No BSA?" There are three more recent options since then. Lanterns for Caravans (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/23017/?) is now hidden: "Slated for deletion; no longer compatible with Wearable Lanterns." Lanterns for Guards (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/24568/?) is also now hidden for the same reason. Thanks. Good luck!

Or will it just be small incremental changes? Thanks for working on it!PS: a cheeky request for an ETA, even a rough one?No "from scratch" install required, but the guide will be changing significantly, so recommend that users use Mod Organizer and follow the new guide using a brand new profile. Not mandatory though. 2.2.8 ETA is likely 1-2 weeks away, as I am working on the new guide now and verifying everything on my own system. I am not getting any help from the rest of the crew right now, so it will take longer if I am running solo the whole time.@SCarverOrneThanks for the updates. Will fix the guide.
