Sure - they will remain until you confirm you have safely got them. A last resort would be for me to upload the uncompressed BSA/ESP files if you named which version you needed but try the archives first.

Removing this from the STEP Patches shouldn't be too hard. Fairly easy to do with xEdit.

In the STEP Patches, we are simply carrying forward some records that get overwritten by other mods. These are typically just the text that appear in the books. So removing this mods from the STEP Patches isn't going to break anything.

Daniel, I could download both but the 7z variant gives the same error, the zip gives CRC error. Would it be too big of a request to upload the uncompressed ones? I can not thank you enough for your help!

There must be something odd about your PC because you are the first person to have this issue apart from the odd person who didn't have 7ZIP. Do you have some unusual download manager or something?

 

I will be out of the house all day today so will upload this evening (UK time) once I hear from you as to which version you want.

The desaturated version would be my version of choice. I am still investigating the issue but thanks, this way I can continue the Skyrim installation!

Here are the uncompressed Desaturated files. If these don't download properly then you will have to look into what is stopping your downloads unzipping.

 

BSA : Book Covers Skyrim.bsa

ESP : Book Covers Skyrim.esp

 

The BSA is about 980Mb.

 

Let me know if you can successfully use these.

I've been looking at the Bashed Patch in xEdit.

 

Book Covers Skyrim edits lots of BOOK records.

"Bashed Patch, 0.esp" loads after BCS, edits the BOOK record, leaves all the BCS changes intact except for "FULL - Name" which it reverts back to the Skyrim.esp/USLEEP value.

 

It looks to me like the Bashed Patch makes hundreds of unnecessary edits to BOOK records undoing many of the changes BCS makes.

I have looked at my open bash patch and i sue Legacy of the dragondorn which has BCS integrated it looks like the MODL and INAM - Inventory Art is not always beeing forwarded into the bash patch. May be the tags are wrong or something?

 

Think you might need to add the Graphics tag to book Covers of Skyrim?
