Since we have accepted Skyrim - A Mountainous Experience, we should probably check the compatibility option for it in the fomod. Or is there a reason not to?

The FOMOD adds new options:

  • Towns and Villages
    • Whiterun and Windhelm Hold's farmhouses
      • None
      • Farmhouses Without Parallax
      • Farmhouses With Parallax

Do we want to select Farmhouses Without Parallax to override some of the meshes in Better Dynamic Show? (See the list from Mercury71 above).

Yes you want the farmhouse meshes to lose to BDS other wise snow will not apply to those. I would rather have the snow look right in this instance. I do not think there is a patch for BDS and Flickering Mesh Fixes. Too many damn meshes lol..

Agreed, and we seem to be blindly accepting some of these mesh mods without any specifics other than "we have them in our load order, so they must be better than not using them". I know this is a lot of work to check, but we should keep this in mind in case we find any issues. Seems like we could be borrowing some trouble with all these mesh replacers.

Others are correct. Skip the farmhouses from this mod. Sparrow already made a lot of fixes to the meshes when he redid them for BDS.

I think its Solitude Windmill mesh is bugged. It assumes the rotor has sails and it uses a non-existent texture.

I can confirm the issue.

I think we should modify the SMIM instructions to include:

Windmills

DynDOLOD/SkyMills Compatibility Sails

... that fixes this issue.

Yeah but won't all windmills get sails then? Seems that would be a pretty drastic change.

This, I cannot say. Depends on if any of them do not have meshes with sails using those textures.

Maybe some/no other windmills don't use the same mesh-texture combo, IDK.
