Jverv Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Sorry, forgot you had your hands in a lot of tools. Skyrim SE is crashing after I updated and linked the ini's to my profile in MO2. Pre update I did not link the inis through to my profile in MO2. Now when I go into game and change the games settings I crash to desktop.
DoubleYou Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Sorry, forgot you had your hands in a lot of tools. Skyrim SE is crashing after I updated and linked the ini's to my profile in MO2. Pre update I did not link the inis through to my profile in MO2. Now when I go into game and change the games settings I crash to desktop. Not sure what this could be. I checked on my setup, and it worked fine. Even tested Read-only, and it didn't crash. I would like to see a copy of your INI files to see if I can reproduce this with the same INI files. You can always go into the BethINI cache folder and view your previous INI files to see what's changed.
DoubleYou Posted February 2, 2019 Author Posted February 2, 2019 Version 2.9 -New Tweak: Transparency AA under Basic for Skyrim, Fallout 3, and Fallout New Vegas.-Recommended Tweaks: Added fSkyCellRefFadeDistance:MAIN 600000 to recommended tweaks for Skyrim. Testing will need to be done to see if the same tweak is good for Skyrim Special Edition (been testing in my setup without issue, but need to verify that it actually is an improvement).-Behind the Scenes: If an update to BethINI is available, it will send you to the current game's Nexus page, rather than always to the Skyrim Special Edition Nexus page, if you click OK.-Bugfix/Gui Change: Entirely redid the GUI from scratch so it shouldn't look messed up if the user is using a different font or theme. Also, it looks better, and has less settings floating in mid-air with no apparent reason. Should be easier to program new features too.-Bugfix: In the Custom tab, if the user selected a section, in some cases a setting wouldn't automatically be loaded, and it would allow modification of the entire section, but wouldn't necessarily place it in the correct INI file. Now, if a setting isn't selected, the value field will not populate, and it shall also remain disabled.-Bugfix: The Custom tab correctly showed the current value for a setting only if the game was Oblivion or if the setting was in the Prefs file. Otherwise, it would show the default value. It now correctly displays the current value.-Bugfix/Kinda: The INI files in My Games would be modified to match that of a Mod Organizer profile for Skyrim Special Edition and Fallout 4. This originally was a workaround, because at the time, profile-specific INI files were broken in Mod Organizer 2. This has been fixed in Mod Organizer 2, so no longer is there a need for this workaround.
wch Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 Holy Crap it is so awesome! I wasn't able to have time to check it out, but all I wanna say now is... thanks!
DoubleYou Posted February 6, 2019 Author Posted February 6, 2019 That's what I wanted to see! Even has the right font now!
Darklustre Posted February 14, 2019 Posted February 14, 2019 I was recommended to use BethINI because changing the MO2 skyrimpreferences.ini keeps ctding the game. But those settings seem to work just fine in Docs or Skyrim. So BethINI was used with the recommended tweaks. It changed the ini and seems to be exactly what the mod author called for. But it keeps ctding every time I try to start a new game, once I get out of character creation. Resetting MO2 ini back to default lets me play the game. But I get an error message about needing to change bfloatblatherblather. So it seems the ENB and game runs just fine until I set the values it should have in MO2. Do you have any thoughts? This is the changes it made to ini. You could try to use a lower preset.

The only thing I change for the Creation Kit is, Allow multiple masters, add DLC support, and there was another one that caused the Creation Kit to fail at startup that I can't remember at the moment. I do notice that VSync is off, and I have found that can affect how long it takes for the Continue to appear.
mew5151515 Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 (edited) I try to wait for 5 min and it never appears.Normally the menu will appears after 5 sec.An additional problem is when close the game while the menu doesn't appears by using alt+crtl+delete, CPU still working and I need to end task the Tes.exe process in task manager.Normally the game will close and stop using CPU. Thank you for your reply. Edited February 15, 2019 by mew5151515
DoubleYou Posted February 15, 2019 Author Posted February 15, 2019 Why are you resaving esp files anyway? For Skyrim SE? If so, I think you are supposed to use the Skyrim SE version of the Creation Kit in order for that to work.
Darklustre Posted February 15, 2019 Posted February 15, 2019 I would guess that your laptop isn't powerful enough for the selected settings plus an ENB. You could try to use a lower preset.I don't think that is the problem? I checked my specs vs the requirements. I seem to be just fine. How can I find out? Something is definitely wrong when the game crashes because you changed the ini.
DoubleYou Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 Well, changing INI settings can increase usage of system resources. Sometimes, increased memory usage with the addition of mods plus different INI tweaks can cause the game to fail, not because the mods or the tweaks were bad, but the combination of the two. Lowering settings can help. Installing Crash Fixes and using ENBoost helps most.
Darklustre Posted February 16, 2019 Posted February 16, 2019 I'm using ENBoost. These are the settings that the ENB author asks you to change. Would they crash my system once character creation is complete? bFloatPointRenderTarget=1bTreesReceiveShadows=1bDrawLandShadows=1bShadowsOnGrass=1 fGamma=1.0400 My specs: i7-3630QM 2.40ghz x28 gigs ramNvidia Geforce GTX 660M 2 gigTotal available graphics memory: 6120 MB Dedicated: 2048 MB
DoubleYou Posted February 16, 2019 Author Posted February 16, 2019 Not by themselves, but you still need to add Crash Fixes and ENBoost. Are you using those two necessary mods?
