SRLE: Legacy of The Dragonborn Reqtified

Recommended Posts

How attached are people to wildcat? I'm thinking about dropping it from the guide until a proper patch can be created.. the one we're using is way out of date and wildcat has changed significantly since it was created.

I think we should remove Unarmed Combat Enhancer.. BTC or Destiny already handle it decently and UCE was never completed with the lvl 50 and 100 perks.

We should probably also drop Gray Cowl of Nocturnal.. initially it was included because I planned on patching it myself for Requiem but I don't think I'm ever goign to be around to it.  Unpatched it's just gonna be severely unbalanced

As you know I'm going to use Wildcat on this next playthrough, but the older version still compatible with Reqtified patch...

UCE - maybe make optional? It's only useful if you play a monk, right?

Gray Cowl - I've heard good and bad things about the mod, but as you told me: if it isn't compatible w/ Requiem, you don't need it

Another note: could you make KS Hairdos optional? No offense but I'm playing Skyrim not Final Fantasy lol :P

I've always had an affinity for this hair mod in particular - https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36510/?

I wonder if we even need to include High Resolution Texture Pack DLC in the Prerequisites of the Official Bethesda Content as most of us do not use them. While some can choose to use DDSopt to optimize their own textures, I believe the majority prefer to use the Optimized Textures download. I could put a side note that it is an optional download rather than a prerequisite. What do you think?

This may confuse newcomers as to why install the mod at all from Steam if they are going to end up deleting it anyway.

Almost everything is optional; nothing requires kshair. Having said that the texture replacer for it makes it fit in nicely if you avoid the glamazon styles

I think this idea is fine. TBH I think that we should simplify and remove the manual way. If someone wants to do it that way then they are advanced enough to work it out on their own. Edited by jdsmith2816

We should add Main Menu (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/64948/?) and No Menu and Loading Smoke (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/7901/?) to the GUI section just after Resource Mods..  the first one for sure.  I don't know how people manage multiple playthroughs on a profile without that one.

I suggest replacing Atlas with Map Markers Complete ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/25603/? DLC version) and Map Markers Solstheim ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71008/? )

What does everyone think regarding using Skyrim Unbound ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71465/? ) rather than Alternate Start? I've been using unbound lately and find it to be a nicer experience and has by far fewer compatibility challenges to work around.

Wasn't Unbound only available on Steam Workshop for the longest time forever? Plus, I have a deep appreciation for Arthmoor. ASLAL + ASNB is great imo.

Playing around with ENB Organizer, I just realized that it has an ENBoost Preset one can activate. I'll check this out while I'm testing in game to see if it works properly. This may an alternative to those who choose not to use an ENB Preset, like me  ::):. If it loads up properly I'll include the instructions in the Prerequisites Page.

Why do we suggest SkyrimPrefs.ini [Particles] iMaxDesired=6000? What mod do we have that requires this preset?

That's a suggested change by Mangaclub for Vividian ENB as seen here under Important Information: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/36067/?

Thank you. Since this is an optional mod for this guide I noted that it is for Vividian ENB users in the Prerequisites Page. I'll read each mod to note any INI tweaks that are required for the mod. I'm hesitant to suggest everyone make a tweak to their INI files if they are not choosing the Optional mods and only sticking to the CORE setup. Some of the tweaks may cause extra stress on some systems, such as the Particles and Grass tweaks.
